《The day I became World Administrator》8. Magic

First, the composition.
After observation, Isaac was able to theorize what mana is made of. Unlike light or sound, mana seems to act more like vapor. Thus, the mana around is in fact a cluster of mana particles, also called without much inspiration "manicule" by Isaac.
Second, the frequency and intensity. Much like electricity, the frequency of Mana determines its level of activity.
Mana acts as an energy that travels through intermediaries in another material layer. Each living being, whether plant or animal as small as it is, therefore including insects, has a circuit that allows it to absorb, move and emit mana.
However, mana can also move through materials that are inert and that are not alive or have few living components. In any case, not from Isaac's perspective. Rock, air and water for example. Another case is the light which seems to contain a fine amount of mana, increasing the concentration of mana in the air and which decreases after dark.
Outside a circuit, therefore moving in inanimate matter, mana has a very low frequency and is almost inert.
After a few experiments, the lower the frequency of mana, the more difficult it becomes to manipulate and control it. However, outside of a circuit it becomes much easier to concentrate mana, and this is where the intensity aspect comes in.
Intensity describes how much energy a manicle can hold. Indeed, in the same way that a drop of water can contain a different quantity of molecule, the same is the case for a manicle.
It is also relevant to note that outside of a circuit, the manicles tend to be denser and have a higher intensity, unlike the frequency which sags.
Once in a place, a mass of maniculum will first of all try to scatter. However, from a certain intensity, a manicle will start to attract others around and absorb them, increasing both its intensity and frequency before reaching a critical intensity threshold.
When this threshold is reached, the manicule then becomes unstable and its frequency so high that it releases its energy and redistributes it in the form of intensity to all the neighboring maniculas until the energy previously absorbed is redistributed.
These explosions then cause a reaction which increases the intensity of neighboring manicles without increasing their frequency. Indeed, during this phenomenon, the absorbed intensity is redistributed, but the frequency seems to be lost. Failing to be redistributed, the frequency seems to be converted into intensity!
This phenomenon, although not very often, happens sometimes but without real impact on their surroundings, causing only a small breeze in the worst case.
These strange explosions are probably also the reason why the frequency in inanimate matter is so low but their intensity so high. Indeed, in the body of Isaac or those of the insects, after a week, no observation of such explosions could be made.

Perhaps the conditions for the apparitions are not met? Or, is there another principle that Isaac has yet to grasp? For the moment, this question remains unanswered.
However, in Isaac's body, the mana circuit seems to accelerate the flow of absorbed mana and increase their frequency, making them more easily manipulated while decreasing their intensity. Once a certain threshold, the manicules arrive at a stable threshold.
They remain in this stage indefinitely. Their intensity no longer decreases, potentially because it can no longer be, their frequency remaining unchanged, flowing in a constant river flowing through his body.
On this starry evening like all the previous ones, Isaac had finally made up his mind. After much thought and thought on how and what to do, he finally came to a decision.
"Time to do some magic!"
It was in this state of mind that Isaac set out for another forest, far from his camp, to prevent his house from being completely razed by a possible failed experiment.
Also, for help in his experimentation, Isaac decided to take some freshly picked fruit. Instead of eating them, he planned to use the still stable mana circuit inside to simulate a living being and attempt to study what would happen if he attempted to manipulate the mana directly inside.
But first of all, he had to be able to control his own mana first.
"Magical experiment n ° 1!" began to mentally note, as the Administrator did. "Manipulate the mana in my mana circuit, realign it, deflect it, emit it, and reabsorb it."
Of all the sensations he could have felt, mana made him feel much more special. The mana outside gave off a noticeable odor giving both a sense of calm but also fear and mistrust.
However, the mana in his body felt different and in the same way as his aura, seemed to perceive his emotions and sensations. Depending on Isaac's emotional state, the mana flow seemed to speed up or slow down, change direction, or focus in a predefined area.
For example, when he concentrated extremely on his hand while trying to imagine that he was holding a nonexistent apple, the streams of the circuit positioned at the level of his hand would load much more in mana. It had no effect at first glance, but with a little experimentation, Isaac could notice that the area was covered with a much thicker white aura.
"Is the aura a side effect of the mana circulating in my body?" he wondered, observing the phenomenon before continuing on to other parts of his body.
After several hours of trying to concentrate his mana on various parts of his body, Isaac then decided to move on to the next phase. He then observed his surroundings, the trees, the air, the forest and the grass under his feet. Specifically, he observed the mana currents surrounding him and how these seemed to behave, move and expand or contract.

For a few seconds, Isaac stared at a specific empty space in front of him. Inhaling deeply and closing, he then began to focus on his hands and the sensations they gave him. The circuits in his hands suddenly began to charge with energy, but this time, much more intensely.
The mana continued to flow in his hands for several seconds in the silence of the forest and the light of his clothes, Isaac remained there, eyes closed, his hands open palms in front of him turned towards the sky.
Several seconds or even minutes passed and the mana concentration in his hands had now peaked. The amount was such that the manicles had started to condense and absorb, rapidly increasing in intensity while on the other side, the mana intensity continued to increase due to the pressure of the manicles continuing to arrive.
Isaac then opened his eyes and observed his hands with satisfaction. The two palms were now both bluish, emitting a powerful light and even surpassing that of the Vestments of Aura.
Around him, the natural mana formations in the air had begun to move and destabilize. The closest approached and entered the palms of his hands and joined the already massive pile of mana, like an asteroid would be drawn to a planet.
The mana formations too far away began to revolve around Isaac, creating a vortex enveloping him entirely in blue light. Around him, a wind had risen, shaking the flaps of his dress and dragging the leaves and branches of the trees around.
The calm silence of the forest was then replaced by the rustling of leaves, the creaking of branches and trunks and the strange sensation that mana gave but much more strongly. This very special feeling given by the mana was very different here.
The calm, the fear and the mistrust left only a sort of mistrust, ignoring any other form of sensation. A urge to go and run away from here would have taken hold of anyone, but Isaac himself didn't. And this for a simple reason: he did not feel this imposing sensation.
Instead, Isaac felt a controlled form of arousal. Fear and mistrust nonexistent, he observed the formation of mana all around him, surprised and bewitched by the beauty of the spectacle he was witnessing.
A few seconds passed again when he decided to reorient his palms and place them in front of him in the direction of an empty space. Suddenly, Isaac shifted the focus of his concentration and mentally created a bridge between his hands and the air, focusing on an empty space in front of him.
Immediately, the immense amount of mana in his hands began to move. Like a shattering barrage, the stream of mana left Isaac's body and emitted a powerful light, illuminating everything around and far beyond the forest.
The wind around him, initially calm and steady, changed direction chaotically and drastically increased in power. Isaac's hair and robe followed the powerful blows of the wind as before him the surging energy gathered at a single point where he had imagined it.
The point absorbing all the passing energy took on a dark blue, blue, then light blue color.
For its part, Isaac's white aura spread drastically, going from 2 meters in radius to well 5 meters, covering a very large distance around him. But that was not all. Besides being able to manipulate his aura, he also felt a new energy add to his influence.
Out of reflex or curiosity, Isaac then proceeded to concentrate this new energy and observed his surroundings, keeping the corner of his vision for the pulsing point in front of him.
Around him, the mana formations in the air were then absorbed by the white aura and began to assimilate them into his body before refining them to send them the next moment to the sphere. Isaac also noticed that despite the heavy use and the powerful flow of energy coming out of his body, it didn't seem to have a problem producing mana.
Every time a manicle left his body, a new one seemed to be created out of nowhere which questioned Isaac. Infinite mana? That would be a possibility, given the fact that he was supposed to be an Administrator and theoretically should have full access to all the resources in this world.
Leaving that question to ask for next time, Isaac returned his attention to the energy point in front of him before opening his mouth in surprise. The point had become a sphere a centimeter in diameter, shining brightly in a white color. Around him, huge squalls blew violently the trees, traces of cuts visible on the trunks and the ground. The shaken canopy and the torn leaves then let appear the sky and the two moons in the sky.
All around you could hear the sound of crackling woods as cracks began to appear in the trunks of the trees slowly leaning side to side, battered by the terrifying winds sweeping through the forest.
Isaac stared at the white sphere, speechless and unable to know what to do. But just when he was wondering this, a window appeared in front of him.

Haven in a Dangerous World (Old)
Devin McMullen. Female. 18. Single dad. Dead mom. Good in fights and little else. No friends. Or, at least, that's what she's always been. Now, she's not sure exactly what she is. She's never been one for reading fiction, or anything for that matter, but this feels like something straight out of a fantasy. Her newly acquired instincts, however, scream dungeon core. Whatever that is. Unlike most dungeon cores, though, she's missing something very important. A dungeon. Stuck out in the open, above ground where she's definitely not supposed to be, with not a cave in sight, or any other land form besides miles and miles of ice and snow, Devin's not sure if she can survive. Update: Big caveate, though, just so you know. Started with this one idea and ran with it as far as I could. Characters and plot suffer from it, but I'm proud that I wrote as much as I did. I will rewrite this at some point and make it so it actually has plot. Check out my wordpress © [koallary] and [Haven in a Dangerous World], [2017]. 8 195Colossus of Catastrophe
A world where he's stuck in a game like setting. Sign him up! Except that Lazarus found himself stuck in a cave with nothing but glowing crystals and the skittering of rats. And according to the glowing blue box he'd been affected by unforeseen circumstances and transported to the world of Zara. What the hell was that?! He didn't like caves at all! He didn't get any powers! Only this blue box fixed in front of him... Hello this book will be a lit-rpg in a fantasy world. It will be primarily action and adventure. I dislike characters who get tied down and suckered, so if your looking for kingdom building or large interpersonal relations this isn't it. There will be some but it won't be the focus. He will be somewhat of an antihero but more in the sense that Lazarus will be free. I'm not the most experienced writer, but I would love feedback to improve. Thank you for reading!
