XG 58 - Micro-analyzing her parent’s interaction
After confirming she did not leave anything, Wong Xue Guo finally left her room and headed to the waiting car. She was quite reluctant to part with this peaceful villa, the luxury she would have a hard time experiencing again in the future.
She forced herself to leave without looking back.
They packed everything they had into their cars and drove to the place where Charles Wong's private jet had parked. As for the military helicopter that Wong Xue Guo’s group came with? It was also picked up.
“How are we going to pick up Mother? A private jet can’t hover in mid-air… right?”
Kang Xunsu tossed the bags into the luggage cabin in the private jet. “We are going to pick up Madam with the helicopter. The private jet will fly straight to our destination.”
Wong Xue Guo stared between the helicopter and private jet, but her eyes would linger longer at the latter. “... So which am I riding in?”
“The helicopter. You want to welcome your mother back, right?”
“Right.” Wong Xue Guo does not dare to defy, even if the private jet has a cushy seat, ideal for her to take a nap.
“Boss will be riding the helicopter too. Remember to get your winter jacket out. Korea has not started snowing yet, but the weather is getting cold.”
Nana will be driving the helicopter, while the private jet will be handled by Charles Wong’s gang member. Fei Tin Dei, the gang’s F1 racing master, also has the license to pilot a plane.
When Fei Tin Dei heard that Nana was also a pro driver, he became very much interested in her. Smoker had been grumpy since then, especially when his girlfriend’s chill reply did not deter the other man.
“Mother says she’s bringing three people with her. Except for my father, Yibo, and me, will everyone be sitting in the private jet?”
“Don’t forget to count Nana and Smoker. Don’t worry about the weight. Everything will be carried by private jet.”
But what if they had an accident, separate ways, and needed supplies?
As soon as she thought of that, she quickly smacked the dangerous ‘what if’ and subtly touched any wood surface she found.
With Smoker as co-pilot, Nana skilfully flew the helicopter straight to the border. They were flying rather low and they gathered lots of people’s attention as the helicopter flew above them.

Grabbing onto her seat while peering out of the window, Wong Xue Guo saw the border clearly, where there was a long line of cars wanting to seek refuge. The helicopter flew further out until they were far from the border before finally slowing down to a hover.
Her heart jolted once she spotted a lone car parked in the middle of a large field, with six people standing beside it. One of them was her mother.
Charles Wong gestured to his daughter to move away from the door before throwing down the emergency escape rope.
Wong Xue Guo tried to see if she could look down from the other side window, but her current seat was on the blind spot. Unable to watch anything, she finally sits properly beside Chen Yibo, her eyes trained at the helicopter door, and waits for the new passengers to climb up.
The first to climb up was a familiar face.
Carrying a large bag, Kim Sung-Ho looked worse to wear, but his clothes looked clean enough from the adventure he had gone through. There was no serious injury on him from sight but somehow, the few days she had not seen him had changed him to a more mature kid.
His eyes under his thick bangs lit up slightly when he recognized Wong Xue Guo and Chen Yibo.
“Hello. We meet again,” Wong Xue Guo greeted with a smile and ushered him to take a seat.
“Hello,” Kim Sung-Ho murmured so softly that they could not hear it. They only know what he had said from the movement of his mouth. He settled down opposite Chen Yibo. His eyes immediately darted to the door, waiting for the next person to appear.
When the second person appears, Wong Xue Guo nearly draws out her sword if not for Chen Yibo stopping her. The newcomer did not realize he had frightened someone with his ash grey hair and exhaled exaggeratedly once he reached the top.
“Oh my God. I’m saved!” The newcomer, who was also carrying a large bag, plopped down beside Kim Sung-Ho. Noticing Chen Yibo and Wong Xue Guo, he grinned, flashing his sharp canine teeth. “Hello! I’m Ash!”
“Hello. I’m Yibo. This is Xue Guo,” Chen Yibo did the introductions as he examined Ash. His hair was not pure white, more like the lightest grey.

They did not get to speak more when the third person climbed up, wearing a cap beneath his hoodie and carrying two heavy bag packs with him.
His overly thin frame allowed Wong Xue Guo to match who he was. “Mr. Vihaan?”
Vihaan smiled and his neat row of white teeth seemed to be much healthier looking than his current appearance. “We meet again, Miss Wong, Mr. Chen.”
Vihaan looked very different from before. Previously, he looked like a tough man, but right now, he looked as if a single punch would break his bone. Even Ash, who was on the thinner side, looked healthier than him.
The fourth person to climb up was Suzie Yap, who also had a backpack with her. Even if her appearance looked the same as she did since they parted ways, Wong Xue Guo still felt that her mother looked tired and thinner.
During the time the newcomers climbed up, Charles Wong never paid attention to them, his eyes only on his wife. He was confident in his wife’s decision in picking teammates and thus did not spare them more than a glance.
He wanted to envelop his wife into his embrace, but she only had her eyes on their lovely daughter.
With strong, unrestrained enthusiasm, Suzie Yap immediately hugged Wong Xue Guo and even gave her daughter a kiss on her forehead.
“My baby. Mummy misses you so much!” Suzie Yap gave Wong Xue Guo a final squeeze before letting her go to scrutinize if she was fine.
Among those in the helicopter, only Ash does not know that the dangerous Suzie Yap would have this side in her. During their three-day journey, Ash had practically worshipped Vihaan as a new X-Men, while worshiping Suzie Yap as the mafia Big Sister with her two skillful bodyguards.
To secure his place in the group, he willingly acted as a good lackey, doing menial tasks for them.
When he heard from Kim Sung-Ho that Suzie Yap had a daughter, his mind immediately produced an image of a younger version kickass Suzie Yap and subconsciously labeled the daughter as another person to worship.
But the reality was really different from his wild imagination.
This slender framed girl with round glasses and having the air of a good and law-abiding person was more to the type of seeking protection than offering protection!
It was only Suzie Yap’s husband that matched his expectation, except for the lack of bulging muscles that WWF fighters would have. At least without the terrifying muscles, Charles Wong looked rather good-looking and matched well with Suzie Yap’s elegant beauty, satisfying Ash’s aesthetics.
Wong Xue Guo smiled shyly. “I’m glad you are alright. Father had been very worried about you.” After saying that, she glanced at her father, who let Mocking and Monkey, the last people to climb up, pull up the ladder.
“Baby isn’t worried about mummy?”
“Of course I’m worried too,” Wong Xue Guo quickly assured her mother as Charles Wong took a seat beside Suzie Yap, who still had not spared him a glance.
Wong Xue Guo had imagined the scene of her parents’ reunion many times. She had even envisioned her mother being cold to her father, who then tried to win his wife’s favor again. He would be confused and beg for his wife to tell him what he did wrong.
Yet, her delightful anticipation was ruined when the real Charles Wong remained calm and only had his eyes tracking every Suzie Yap’s movement like a dedicated knight.
Was he not curious why his wife dyed her hair black?
Was he not upset that his wife does not pay attention to him?
He should have been pushed to the edge by curiosity on why his wife was different from what he remembered!
This was the first time, since Wong Xue Guo was at the age where she could retain her memory, had seen her mother act coldly to Charles Wong. Hence, she had no reference to dissect the meaning behind her father’s calmness.
Her mother’s enthusiastic questions in asking how her days in Penang Island stopped her from micro-analyzing her parent’s interaction.
Once they are ready to leave, Smoker called Kang Xunsu that they had successfully picked up their people and the private jet can finally set off. Although they were being eyed, no one stopped them and so, Wong Xue Guo’s group left Penang Island without trouble.
