XG 48 - I’m your executor
Sitting on a couch facing the TV was a dazed Wong Xue Guo clutching onto her phone. The TV only has a few channels available, with ASTRO unable to be connected. Most of the channel was now displaying an old interview with the Prime Minister about the human rabies case.
But she was not paying attention to whatever was shown on TV and instead, fully occupied with her own thoughts.
Why was it that she still feels stressed when she no longer needs to be in command?
Although her father had unceremoniously kicked Lok Hui Man out before dinner officially started, the memory of it still shocked her. Sure, they would not be staying at Penang Island for long, but was it okay to offend the party leader this early?
Her father does not need a backup plan in case they need to stay here longer… or permanently?
She could see Lok Hui Man was also shocked by her father's thorny and dismissive words. But instead of being offended, she politely left with her half-eaten chicken, unknown what she was really thinking.
Wong Xue Guo just hoped Madam Lok was not thinking about revenge. She would not know which side would win if they really became enemies.
"Are you sleepy?" Seated beside the out-of-it Wong Xue Guo was Chen Yibo, the only person other than her in the room.
"...Kinda. But I'm not going to sleep yet. Let's finish the night run first." She was also waiting for her mother's reply.
Other than Vihaan and Kim Sung-Ho, her mother had also picked an additional guy from the hospital that insisted on tagging along with them.
As for the hospital, the plan to bomb the building was postponed and never to be heard again when there were more and more zombies popping out here and there. The military literally had no time to rest.
The group managed to get a car and drove straight to Penang Island, which only needed a three to four hours’ road trip if it was a normal day. But reality does not usually go according to the plan, just like their case. Suzie Yap had told Wong Xue Guo that the trip would have to be extended again, to allow Vihaan to get used to his new, dangerous ability first.
Despite the worry that her mother will be exposed to danger the longer she stayed outside, she was indeed relieved that her mother's safety will increase with the help of the bodyguards and Vihaan.
Wong Xue Guo lazed around on the couch until it was time to do their night run.
By the time the duo finished their night jogging, Wong Xue Guo felt as if her legs were soft spaghetti now. The tiredness did not stop her from feeling quite proud of herself to have increased one lap from the original target.

While she feels as if her body no longer belongs to her, Chen Yibo does not look overly messed up. He was sweating and his breathing was heavier than normal, but one would think he was shooting a sports commercial with how photogenic he was.
She ignored Kang Xunsu who coincidentally happened to pass by them during his patrol and pretended she did not hear his laughter when he saw her messy state.
After chunking down her bottle of water and taking a bit of rest, they make their way back into the house, only to be stopped by Kiat who was blocking their path with guarded eyes.
There may be a feeling of pity for him, but Wong Xue Guo still ditched her relaxed expression before the pair of hostile eyes.
“Is there something you need?” Chen Yibo asked his tone unconsciously a little softer towards the young kid.
“What are you planning to do with my mother?” Kiat asked sharply.
“You are asking the wrong person,” Wong Xue Guo said with a raised eyebrow. But Kiat did not walk away and just silently stared at them, waiting for them to cough out the answer he wanted. Thus, she added, “I don’t know much and I could only guess what my father wants.”
Despite Wong Xue Guo sounding as if she had given in, she actually does not completely trust the pitiful kid, even if she had given him a portion of her food. Both of them were considered children and there was no blind compassion for the other. So she had to take charge of the conversation before the kind-hearted Chen Yibo would blurt out information more than necessary.
“Tell me,” the skinny boy demanded.
His behaviour also made it easier for her to be less considerate.
“The only reasonable conclusion is to have your mother find out how this virus comes from. That's if I had guessed how your mother’s ability works correctly. Am I right?”
“... Yes. She could see the past.”
“Anything of the past?”
“Yes.”
Wong Xue Guo shrugged. “Then that had to be it. We need to know the source before the vaccine could be created.”
“How did you know about my mother?”
“... I think you should ask my father about it.”
“He won’t answer me.”
Wong Xue Guo could not refute that with a clear conscience. “I don’t have the answer you want. I only know my father wants to find a way to survive from infectious human rabies currently running amok around the world.”
“Everyone called my mother crazy and stayed away from us. No one knew about my mother’s ability, so how do you know?”
Really, Wong Xue Guo wanted to beat up this unreasonable kid. Just because he could not demand answers from her father, he decided to act like an unreasonable tyrant before the innocent daughter?

Her tone became colder. “Again, I will remind you that you are asking the wrong person. I don’t even know about you and your mother until you arrive here.”
“Then, you don’t know anything?” Kiat made it sound as if she was useless.
“You could say that-” Wong Xue Guo’s sentence abruptly cut off when she noticed something was wrong. Her senses were working fast, but her body was not, especially with her currently exhausted body.
Luckily, Chen Yibo was fast enough to pull her away. At the same time, he kicked the boy away, who was actually holding onto a knife and intended to stab Wong Xue Guo.
“What the heck… are you crazy?!” Getting up from the grass which she and Chen Yibo had rolled flat, Wong Xue Guo asked in terror. But her body was fearless as she pulled out her sword, ready to fight back.
Kiat gave them a feral grin as he waved his knife. “If I get you, your father will let go of my mother. Do you know how he captured my mother? He threatens her with me! So I will do the same to him, and let him taste his medicine!”
Wong Xue Guo: It might work if it's my mother. But it’s father, so your plan might not work.
“What a hypocrite,” Wong Xue Guo uttered coldly as she gazed down at the boy that made her father sound like a depraved person that threatens women.
He also threatens men, okay! He also has a beautiful wife, so why would he be interested in an old, skinny woman?
The more incensed she became, the colder her expression became. “My father had brought your mother to work for him, and even brought you along. He feeds you and even offers you shelter yet you do this to your benefactor? Do you think you lived well before or that your mother liked that life? What can a kid like you do anyway for your mother? Did you even ask if your mother wants to be free from this well-fed and in-demand job? Your mother might even scold you for ruining her once in a lifetime chance of survival.”
Chen Yibo: How cruel.
Even if her words were understandable, even if it was Kiat that started it first, it was still rather harsh for Wong Xue Guo to call the kid useless. Chen Yibo thought the kid would start crying the next moment.
Instead of raging over her words, Kiat started laughing. “Wow, impressive. Your high moral standing makes me want to kill you even more.”
Pulling out his sword, Chen Yibo moved quickly to block the incoming attack from the boy that grew more disturbing from his wicked yet distorting laughter. Even his knife attack grew even more ferocious and choose to disregard the increasing number of wounds on his body from Chen Yibo’s retaliation.
Kiat’s senseless laughter had Wong Xue Guo’s hair stand up from how insane it sounded. He looked like a mini serial killer with that twisted expression on his face.
Chen Yibo looked as if he could hold the crazy kid back, but with the kid ignoring his injuries as if they were nothing, it became a disadvantage to Chen YIbo.
The more Chen Yibo was injured, the more anxious Wong Xue Guo became. She wanted to help, but their fast movement was rather risky for her to help out. What if she accidentally chopped the wrong person?
At this time, she hated how useless she was!
Just as she thought about that, they suddenly parted, both breathing heavily as they guarded against the other.
“Who are you?” Chen Yibo questioned sharply. There was no way to believe the Kiat before him was a normal boy.
“Hehehe.” Kiat licked his knife stained with Chen Yibo’s blood. “I’m your executor!”
A voice that does not belong to the three of them suddenly injected in. "That's too early to decide."
Kiat was completely unprepared for the sudden change of situation. He was caught off guard and found himself being strangled from behind.
"Who- kek!" Kiat's thin fingers struggled to pull the string away from his neck, but there was no space for him to pull. His knife had long dropped to the ground and got kicked away from his own thrashing, thus missing his chance of possibly using it to cut the string.
Under the dark sky where the moon barely offered its light, it was thankful their villa’s garden was well lit. The light easily revealed who their rescuer was, where the softly swaying blue hair hid most of Lan Yan's face and gave the impression of the onlookers being in a dark place that brought chills into their hearts.
The sight of her gloved hands pulling tightly at the ends of the string around Kiat’s neck, with the latter thrashed around to free himself, added terror to the image. Kiat’s thrashing started fiercely, but they could see he was growing weaker the longer he was being choked.
"If he dies, his mother will not work with us," Wong Xue Guo warned fearfully as Kiat's face turned alarmingly red and purple. She winced when her imagination unhelpfully supplies her with the image of his head exploding from the pressure.
The chin-length hair moved aside, revealing Lan Yan's murderous smile. "Not a problem."
As soon as she said that, Charles Wong arrived with Miu behind him.

System Prime
The legend of System Prime is one that has been told and retold many times over the eons. About how she, along with her trusted partner, travelled the worlds of Ahunna (a.hoon.a), sharing the [Gift of System] to all who needed it. It is a great story. Somewhat factual too. As long as you overlook the fact that System Prime was never a woman. —— If this story seems familiar to you, then congratulations, you're psychic. Well, that or you've read it before on my old account, Eli8iR, which I had to delete because of a probably silly reason that will need a shitton of weed to make me spill. If you don't recognize this story, then unfortunately you're not psychic. On the bright side though, it has been scientifically proven that reading my stories might make you psychic. Or blind. But that only happened twice, and those guys should not have badmouthed my work. Enjoy.
