《Reborn as a Legend》Chapter 3 - Hospital

Rudolf was aghast, his eyes widened he witnessed his son was bloodied. He carried Ezekill, and told Sofia.
“Tell your mom that I took Ezekill to the hospital.” He spoke to Sofia.
Rudolf used one of his abilities, he blinked. Rudolf blurred and blinked out of existence, and back again. He was outside the gate. He let out an Aura, and strengthened his leg, hips, and enhanced his eyesight. He focused on calculating how to evade the crowd, and he zoomed a boom can be heard behind him. Every step he made the stone road cracks, the crowd felt a tempest passing by. He rushed and stopped after one minute of running towards the hospital. He got inside in a rush, and he shouted.
“I need a Doctor!” He shouted in a desperate tone.
The doctor rushed, and he told Rudolf to put him down on the hospital cot so that he could check him right away.
“Sir put the patient right here.” the Doctor said.
After Rudolf put Ezekill, the Doctor began his work right away. The Doctor wiped the blood on his face, and carefully removed the torso. The nurse who assisted him used Light magic to illuminate. The Doctor carefully checked Ezekill’s body searching for injuries, none was found. The Doctor then used his magic, a green magic circle appeared in his hands and a green light flashed from the magic circle. He scanned Ezekill for internal injuries, fortunately none was found. The Doctor showed a sign of relief, a six months old baby was bloodied the Doctor was shocked but as a professional he stayed calm.
“Sir, may I know what happened?” the Doctor asked. The tone of his voice was young.
“I-I d-don’t know, I just saw my daughter and my son laying in front of a dead giant rat.” His face showed grim, his voice was filled with fear.

The doctor noticed that Rudolf was terrified, so he tried to ease his fears.
“Fortunately, your son is not injured, I also scanned the inside but no bleeding or injuries were found.”
“Really?” He cried.
The Doctor let Rudolf explode his emotions and said nothing, just nodded. The Doctor stayed to accompany Rudolf.
Lina and Sofia rushed to the hospital, where they saw Rudolf with the Doctor.
“Ezekill! Is my baby okay!?” Lina grabbed the shoulder of the Doctor.
“Yes, madam he’s fine.” The Doctor smiled to ease her worries.
“Where is he!?”
The Doctor pulled the curtains out of the way. Lina saw Ezekill sleeping peacefully.
Few minutes passed, and Sofia explained what happened. She told them Ezekill was casting magic and the giant rat appeared out of nowhere. After a minute of explanation. Rudolf was confused, proud, guilty, and sad. He had mixed feelings.
“How did that giant rat get into our house? And where the hell are our servants and guards!? I shouldn’t place the blame on them, I failed as a father.” He clenched his fist.
“I’m sorry daddy, I told the servants and the guards to leave us alone.” Sofia bursted out crying.
“No, it’s not your fault my little princess. I should have been there to protect you.” He wiped her tears.
Lina was in a state of shock, she just heard her baby fighting a giant rat in the garden.
The Doctor loses his cool after hearing the story, his head was full of questions on how did a baby survive such an encounter. The Doctor then ordered the nurse to get a magic scroll. The nurse dashed to the storage, and arrived with the magic scroll, the doctor took the magic scroll and took the mana from the magic scroll. The magic scroll magic circle that was drawn burned, and reconstructed to his hand. He held his hand forward and appraised his stats. The magic circle on the magic scroll was replaced with Ezekill’s status.

The Doctor was astounded, a six months old had learned magic theory. Rudolf and Lina saw the status, they thought their baby was blessed, even the mid-grade appraisal scroll couldn’t appraise everything. They were happy, the worries, and fear was replaced.
The Doctor noticed that there was something off with the status of Ezekill, he told them that the mana pool, and spiritual pool was irregular. He added that a six months old, arcane core wouldn’t be functional until the circuits of his body were fully developed. And to add more irregularity he already had a spiritual power even though he didn’t start meditating or training.
“Sir, may I mention that his mana is ten times larger than a regular baby and to add he already has a spiritual pool, it should be developed when he starts to train heck I even don’t have spiritual powers.” The doctor spoke in envy.
“Well! He’s my son after all!” He pointed to himself and smirked.
“I’m glad your worries are gone, I’ll just say that the cause of his unconsciousness was depleting his mana and straining his circuits, it was his first time after all. I think his survival instinct kicked in and used magic.”
“Will he be fine Doctor?” Lina asked.
“Yes, madam your son is perfectly fine which is strange. He doesn't need to stay here, he just needs rest to recover his mana” The Doctor smiled.
“Thank you, doctor.” Lina replied.
“No problem madam, I didn’t do anything. Thankfully.” He bowed his head.

*Note: This story is on hiatus. I intend to pick it up again, but the mood of my life has shifted for the time being and I'm going to be working on a side project for a bit.* What would you give to live the life of your dreams? What kind of deal would you make? And when you were there, forced to stare your dreams in the eye and live them every day, how long would it be... before they broke you? Author's note: This is my first excursion outside the realm of villain fan fiction and I welcome feedback. The thing I've loved most about RRL so far is the potential for writing to be an interactive experience with excited readers. That said, also, the primary genre this is intended for is the blossoming realm of LitRPG. Namely, a slice of life tale in the manner of Grimgar or Re:Zero. So, likewise, I don't expect there will ever be a clear beginning-middle-and-end type of pattern to this story. It will likewise always be a bit more of a reactionary, exploratory novel into realms unknown - much like the 1800 travel-novel theme used by Jules Verne. Or, at least, that is my ambition.

The Curio Shoppe
Kellan Klein is an ordinary college student with an average, if traumatic and painful past. Everyone grows up grappling with depression and anxiety that seem to be genetic in a house with parents that, while loving, fight all the time and have weird ideas about what kids should and shouldn't do, right? Everyone deals with bullying, racism, judgement on their romantic inclinations and their family's economic status and just general shittiness, right? All of Kellan's friends sure did, and for all of them, entertaiment media were a welcome escape from their painful, dreary lives. After all, who wouldn't want to sail the seas with Monkey D. Luffy and the Strawhats, or help Meng Hao con increasingly powerful and influential people, or join Cecil Harvey and his friends on their weird journey to save the world, or make friends with Peter Parker while pretending to not know he was everyone's favorite wall-crawling superhero? Kellan certainly wanted to, and while he pursued college to seek out a career he saw himself enjoying, something felt inexplicably empty about his life. So when a decidely sinister force kidnaps him and the prettiest man he's ever seen saves his life and offers him his wildest dreams, Kellan becomes the shopkeeper of a mysterious, dimension hopping shop, complete with a system that helps him acquire items. abilities, materials, and other cool shit to stock it with, as well as some other neat perks. Will Kellan become a boring overpowered MC, like the kind from web fiction that he reads to sate his boredom? Will he keep his generally kind, sweet nature despite the shit he's gone through and will go through, or will he inexplicably become a scary, violent, irrational arrogant douchebag? Will he use his newfound abilities to explore the multiverse and improve the lives of himself and others, or will he become his own antithesis, a purely mercantile jerk obsessed with money and profit, with no concern for anything that doesn't help or hurt his business? Find out in The Curio Shoppe! Author's note: Please suggest possible setting he could visit in the comments. I'll gather ones i'm familiar with, and at the end of every arc, a poll will be held to decide the next location he visits. There will be polls for other purposes, and I might not always go with the poll winner if I feel one of the other options is more fun to read/write about. I will not use the settings of other RRL writers without their permission.Do not ask for that, unless the author in question gives permission. Most settings he visits will be slightly AU in some way or another, but please remind me if I drift too far from canon unintentionally or characterize a character wrongly. This work will eventually fit all tags I selected once he visits universes suited to those tags, so don't ask when or where a given tag is coming. I do not own the cover art, it belongs to Nicholas Belanger Thiel, and I will stop using it if he asks me to. Kellan doesn't look like the old man on the cover, though once he acquires a disguise-type ability he may occasionally use that appearance. The tapir, however, will be a thing, as despite looking like a failed attempt at an elephant, tapirs are cool and this dragon finds them to be kinda cute. The art, along with more of Nicholas's pieces, can be found at https://www.artstation.com/artwork/51bXz
