This agony could never be assuaged. They watched him burn. And they watched him,

weep.

They watched him cry out, sink to his knees and reach towards divinity - but there was no answer except the final irreducible material that constituted reality and the means by which it destroyed him. It was fighting – it was the connection - it was -

It was the burning of nothing.

And it burned off his flesh, and his face, and his lips, and his ears, and finger tips, and his elbows, flesh - and his arm flesh, and his belly and he was entirely burned, burned up, burned up in a shaft -

of material irreducible to anything else burned his flesh until he was something completely else.

And in that shaft.

They saw him die.

That solitary eye had contained something. Dull by lack of use. - Dull because it was a partner to imposing on the world a fake reality. Dulled out and barely acknowledged, reduced and almost in fact not even there. But it was still there, if only in its leaving was this evident.

Only in the fact now that they saw it leave him, his soul, could they be aware that it had ever existed. That thing in his eye left, and the name of the Cyclops, his identity, his consciousness, who in final terms he actually was. That died in the burning and left.

But in that same instance his burned corpse, with that one forehead eye, eyelids burned off in the flash of that final ring of nothing-reality. [he used the connection to reach something that wasn't... that wasn't there. Before the thing that... the thing that was] Nothing-reality. That burned corpse stood up and then kneeled again. Genuflected a bizarre exchange of limbs and angles that could not be read. It moved in an entirely new fashion, in an entirely new and deranged mode of being. The Cyclops was dead but -

He felt them. He felt that they were here. He felt that all along in fact there – they had been there.

His mother's clit flashed open again and through its eye, that shaft pulled directly out of them/out of doom chambers it was glanced inside Old Works, before all of them paralysed/doomed to watch.
