In the town of Sitzer, in the land of Cotlann, the two travelers met a young reporter, Nikoleus, who claimed to possess the gift of foresight. Nikoleus believed his town was going to be the next target of the legendary assassin, Nightingale, who targeted not mere individuals, but would lay waste to entire communities of people at once.

In Sitzer, Izumi faced off with a foe no less formidable than the daemons, but the true nature of the threat once again eluded all prediction.
