《Light of Returning Darkness》CH 67 : SIKONG JIU

Sun Wuji asked the shop owner: “Can I really have these, senior?”
“Don’t worry, Young Noble already paid for it” answered Ming Zhuo.
Sun Wuji quickly turned to his brother while Feng Luotian only shrugged his shoulders in response.
Knowing what his brother had done for him, Sun Wuji immediately took out the money bag he got from Mei Hengkong and intended to repay Feng Luotian with something.
However, Feng Luotian refused: “It’s okay, Brother Sun. Give it to Yue’er and tell her that it’s for the monster cores I borrowed during the exam. And …”
Feng Luotian went to one cabinet and retrieved an emerald amulet from it. Afterward, he handed the item to Sun Wuji.
“Give this to Yue’er for me. Tell her I’m sorry for the earlier bet and I won’t do it again. This is my token of apology.”
“Why don’t you give these to her and tell her that yourself?”
“You think she’d let me talk to her, Brother Sun? Since the end of the exam yesterday, she won’t let me be within her 100-meters radius.”
Sun Wuji gave his brother a side glance. This was what you called ‘you reap what you sow’, word by word. There was no reason whatsoever to challenge Mei Hongli to such a bet. And there was a high chance that the guy would renege on his words.
“Fine. I’ll give it to her and relay your message. What’s this anyway?” asked Sun Wuji.
Feng Luotian explained to Sun Wuji in detail.
“It’s called [Mana Vial]. Outside of being an exquisite accessory, it was incredibly precious as it could store Theríon for an emergency of need. Because of her bloodline, she’s already got a lot of Theríon to spare, coupling with her unique talent, she has more Theríon than both of us combined, however, her ability [Illusion Clone] and her skill [Thousand Illusion Strike] also require much more Theríon than any normal ability or skill. So, it’s better to be prepared. And don’t tell her that [Mana Vial] is a Titanium armament, or she’d certainly refuse to accept it.”
Sun Wuji nodded as he also knew what would happen if he was to mention it like that, but before he put away the monster cores and [Mana Vial], Feng Luotian interjected: “Wait!! Give me the monster cores.”
“What? You changed your mind?” asked Sun Wuji.
“No. I only want to swap a few cores with the same value.” Feng Luotian then turned to Ming Zhuo: “Shop Owner, do you have some monster cores? I’d like to do some exchange.”

Ming Zhuo slightly nodded and gestured to his attendant to bring in the items.
Feng Luotian walked to a square table made of black marble in the corner of the room and placed all monster cores he had left from the exam on one side and what Mei Hengkong gave Sun Wuji on the other side, then he began his selection.
He only chose what was beneficial to his skills and abilities from Sun Wuji’s pile, swapping them with what he got and returning the rest to Sun Wuji. All that left to do was waiting for Deng Mu to come back.
But only a few moments later, Deng Mu came back with a wooden chest of a bathtub size. After revealing its content, Sun Wuji could not hold on to his saliva as he stared dumbly at it.
There were at least thousands of cores inside the chest and their highest level was a Four Talon core.
While Feng Luotian was calmly carrying out his work, Ming Zhuo keenly stared at what Feng Luotian was trying to do. He intended to discern the difference between the cores that Feng Luotian switched, but no matter how hard he tried to sense it, the only distinctive features were its color, shape, and size.
“That’s done!! Let’s go, Brother Sun!!”
After he finished his assortment, Feng Luotian put away his share and notified his brother that the business here was over. However, when Feng Luotian prepared to leave, he noticed that his brother was still reluctant to go with him.
“What? Do you want more? It’s not good to be greedy, Brother Sun. One Titanium weapon is enough for you to boast to the entire city. Or could it be that you want it for someone? Tell me who it is!! This brother will be your matchmaker!!” teased Feng Luotian.
Being caught without him even saying a word, Sun Wuji immediately got agitated. “W-What the hell would you know?”
Feng Luotian was with Sun Wuji long enough to tell that the guy was not an avaricious individual. He was also live long enough to tell what a person wanted just by observing their actions. He could even discern any wise sages, let alone a teenage boy.
What would make him want more treasures if it’s not for a girl?
And from the situation, Sun Wuji did not need to tell him who it was, because there was only one new girl who recently made some contact with their group.

Feng Luotian did not wait for his brother to start making some childish excuses and trying to fabricate the story to be a misunderstanding.
Feng Luotian turned to the shop owner and asked: “Can I take another one?”
Ming Zhou smiled: “Of course, Young Noble!! Just think of this shop as yours!!”
Deng Mu also bowed in agreement.
Feng Luotian grabbed a pair of bronze greaves with each side having a ruby-like core attached to its upper part.
“Umm.” Feng Luotian gave a satisfying nod when he looked at the greaves in his hands, then he threw them to Sun Wuji. The latter did not prepare for this to happen and almost dropped them to the floor.
“What’s that for?!” Sun Wuji was a little aggrieved as Feng Luotian was tossing a Titanium armament like it was a cabbage. The resentment by the blade tail’s matter was still there and now he was showing off his wealth again.
Feng Luotian ignored his brother’s shout and explained in an implicative smile: “While you were returning the monster core and giving [Mana Vial] to Yue’er, give those to Sister Tu for me as well. They’re probably together as they have the same master. Tell her to think of them as a welcoming gift.”
“Shop Owner, Shop Manager … I will take my leave now. Thank you for showing us around.”
After that, Feng Luotian dragged Sun Wuji by his back collar out of the ‘Titanium’ room.
“Little Mu, send Young Noble off and close the shop. I’ll enter the seclusion to forge his arrows and try if I can become a Demirium forger.”
Ming Zhuo ordered his attendant. While the former returned to his room, the latter replied: “Yes, Boss!!”
Deng Mu quickly followed Feng Luotian to the next room, but the moment he reached the reception room, a scoffing comment was heard.
“Never did I expect that there’s some good weapon shop here in our jurisdiction!! And to think that, two little mice from the peacock’s pen would actually stray so far away here!! Today is such a surprising day, don’t you think, gentlemen?”
Sun Wuji, who was now standing straight beside Feng Luotian, had a solemn expression: “Tsk, Sikong Jiu. This is going to be difficult.”
Feng Luotian chuckled at that comment: “Difficult? Heh … more like troublesome. And I really hate that word.”
In front of them, there were at least twenty men crowding from the store’s entrance.
The one leading the group wore a refined silver robe with his imposing physique. He was looking at Feng Luotian and Sun Wuji with his arrogant and domineering gaze. There was only determination and no hesitance with his eyes, similar to that unyielding glare from Ying Lizhua. His brows were thick and seemed to always be furrowed, even though he was quite ecstatic at the moment. He was the one Sun Wuji called ‘Sikong Jiu’ earlier.
Behind him, there stood two elder individuals wearing the robe in black and in white. Not only their faces looked the same, but also their gestures, movements, and personalities were identical. Except for the colors of their hair, that was corresponding to their robes, the rest of their aesthetic features was indistinguishable. One did not need to guess to know that they were twins.
The black one started replying to Sikong Jiu’s question: “Not only surprising, Young Master. Today is also an exciting one, right Whitey?”
“Indeed, Blackie. A little more blood would flavor up the day to be even more exciting. Hehehehe!!”
When the white one started chortling, the rest of the group followed in their laughter.
Sikong Jiu: “When I was informed of the matter, I didn’t quite believe it myself, but my men said they saw you both with their own eyes and stake their lives onto this news, otherwise, I wouldn’t come down to this rundown place.”
After he finished the sentence, Sikong Jiu tossed a bag of monster cores to the man on the side: “Thanks for the news. Now, get lost!!”
“Right away, Young Master.” The one who received the money quickly nodded and disappeared from the sight.
Sikong Jiu continued: “And this rundown place turns to be a proper weapon shop that possesses quite an arsenal. With these many high-grade weapons, the shop could have been a lot more famous with a lot more customers.”
He turned to Deng Mu and asked: “Why did you make your shopfront like that, huh, Shop Owner?”
