《Light of Returning Darkness》CH 58 : THE FINAL SHOWDOWN (6)

Mei Hongyi contemptuously smiled at the dazing Feng Luotian: “I don’t know what you all are planning to do to take down this clone, but at the very least, that Wei must be the key factor by holding it down, right? Now, can you tell me … what’s next? Hahaha!!”
After light returned to his eyes, Feng Luotian shook his head and let out a huge sigh as he deactivated both of his skills: “To think that it has really come to this.”
“That’s right!! There’s nothing you can do now, so despair and give up!! Hahaha!!”
Mei Hongyi crazily laughed as if the victory already fell on his hand.
In fact, the rest of the party really felt that way. They lowered their head in despair with some exceptions like Ying Lizhua and Sun Wuji who were still thinking of some other plans.
However, as there was no one else in the party who could put the clone in place, it had rendered their ultimate move useless in a way as the move was one-time use and easy to dodge.
No matter how powerful the attack was, it would be useless if they could not hit their target.
Suddenly, a voice rang in their head: “Ready the move and do it when I give a signal!!”
Hope flashed across everyone’s eyes in the party as it was from Feng Luotian.
Mei Yue’er asked: “Luotian, how are you going to hold it down?”
Feng Luotian flatly answered: “Just trust me and prepare.”
Then, he turned to the clone and said: “I think you’ve misunderstood my previous comment, Second Elder.”
Mei Hongyi still gave out his victorious smiled and asked: “Oh? How so?”
“It’s not that the situation is despairing, rather, it has become costly.”
When Feng Luotian responded, Mei Hongyi stopped smiling. He had been played by this brat a few times, so he planned to be more cautious this time around.
Not waiting for any answers, Feng Luotian stored his gauntlets and took out two items. They were two four-feet-long blade-like objects, violet one and azure one. He then held both items by their sticks connected to the blades with one in each hand.
Feng Luotian asked: “Do you know what these are, Second Elder? Or rather, how much are these?”

Mei Hongyi snarled: “Hmph!! Just items with an aura of those at Fang Realm. How expensive could they be?”
Feng Luotian: “Oh really? If I guessed correctly, Mei Clan’s Supreme Elder has come to watch this exam, correct?”
Mei Hongyi: “…” He did not know what Feng Luotian was trying to say, his topics were all over the place.
Feng Luotian continued: “It’s to be expected as he’s very fond of her granddaughter. There’s no way he’d miss her exam. And if he comes, then Uncle Mei and First Elder must accompany him here as well, correct?”
Mei Hongyi was getting impatiently: “Yeah!! So what?!”
Feng Luotian: “You don’t know the value of these items but surely the former Chief Forger of Mei Clan like First Elder cannot stay still when seeing these. Not to mention, someone from the He Clan because their clan members were all forgers. I also guess that someone big from the He Clan must have come to watch Brother He fight, I think right now on the stage outside the exam, there must be chaos big enough to strangle you to death, Second Elder.”
“Ridiculous!!” As Mei Hongyi listened to the story from Feng Luotian, it was getting more and more nonsense because he did not know what those two items were and the power radiating from them was so low that he would not pay any attention to them.
However, on the stage outside the exam site, it was really as Feng Luotian described.
The moment he took out those two blades First Elder and the Heron Lord: He An immediately jumped in shock as they both exclaimed: “WHAT?!”
Before there was nothing that could move Heron Lord, now not only he was out of his character, but he was also agitating as one could be: “Don’t tell me he plans to use that one the clone?!”
Heron Lord quickly flashed in front of the close-eyes Mei Hongyi to gave a heavy slap on Mei Hongyi, intending to wake him up right away. However, that was of no use. Mei Hongyi was still closing his eyes and not moving in the slightest.
Heron Lord shouted: “Why doesn’t he wake up?!”
Peacock Lord sensed something was amiss ever since his First Elder and the Heron Lord were acting weird. He quickly came to He An’s side and explained: “When one was using [Possession], their soul would move to that designated clone, so as long as the user has not deactivated the skill or that clone has not been destroyed then we can’t do anything to wake him up. That’s also one of the skill flaws. But what’s going on, Clan Chief He?”

Heron Lord: “Peacock Lord, please do anything in your power to wake him up or interfere with the exam. Don’t let God’s Son use those blades, or I will strangle your Second Elder to death!!” His face was as stern as one could be.
As for Peacock Lord, he still had not gotten his answer: “…?”
First Elder came to his side and explained: “Clan Chief, those blades are incredibly precious as they are forging materials that can be used to forge weapons. And not just any weapons, Clan Chief, one of those blades can produce at least five Titanium weapons. So, two blades can produce a dozen Titanium weapons!!”
“WHAT?!”
Once the First Elder finished his sentence, not only Peacock Lord who was startled by the truth but also everyone on the stage and even the crowds who happened to hear their conversation.
Titanium grade was one level above high-grade weapons. Within an entire Divine Bird City, there were probably less than twenty pieces of Titanium weapons. And each one of them was regarded as a family heirloom that they kept safe in their secret vault.
Contrastingly, although high-grade weapons were precious, they were common among the top-tier figures. When He An, as a high-tier forger himself, saw Feng Luotian and Tu Lingxi’s weapons, he could instantly recognize them and felt a bit surprised as to why they could get a hand on those. But that was all he did, only smiled and did not comment on anything. However, the materials for Titanium weapons were different matters entirely.
High-grade weapons could already be sold at the exorbitant price, equally matching with the price of Talon cores. Titanium weapons, on the other hand, could be sold at the same price as Wing cores, Wing cores from the Wing Realm monsters!!
At this moment, Feng Luotian was holding twelve Wing cores in his hands without Mei Hongyi knowing of their value. These two blades could probably buy his whole treasure house.
First Elder’s voice was trembling as he continued: “If they are to be used like this, before being made a weapon, their properties will be lost in a single-use which means we will lose a dozen Titanium weapons if he really uses them on the clone, Clan Chief!!”
Yes, right now, exactly like Feng Luotian said, everyone waiting outside the exam site wished to strangle Mei Hongyi to death so that Feng Luotian would not use these valuable items.
Peacock Lord could not help but ask: “But the items’ auras are not that strong, it should be from low-level monsters. Can’t you just find more?”
Heron Lord joined in: “Peacock Lord, you don’t understand. The problem doesn’t lie with how strong the monster is. It’s the impossibility of catching the monster. They are tails from the Blade Tail Lions. And these lions are incredibly sensitive to Theríon. If there’s even the smallest chance they’ll lose in battle, they will flee and hide from miles away. Even those bloodlines specializing in detection can’t find it. Only cultivators with weaker cultivation than the monsters will have a chance to encounter these lions in the Warland Thicket. However, that also makes it impossible to retrieve their tails because weaker cultivators have no chance in front of these monsters. One hit from its tail can kill those of three levels stronger than them. Now tell me, how can we hunt this material, Peacock Lord?”
The explanation from Heron Lord made Peacock Lord even more confused: “Then how did Tian’er get ahold of them?”
First Elder commented: “I’d like to know that too, Clan Chief. The items are incredibly rare and before today I have a chance to see it only once in my lifetime.”
If they knew that Feng Luotian had been toying with almost twenty impossible-to-find lions for a whole month and killed all of them afterward, they would be spitting out blood to death.

History's Strongest Disciple Fanfiction
I love the Manga and Anime so much that I wanted to put a bit of myself inside it, It might come as a stupid power fiction, but I did my best to make it at least a bit amusing and a bit more believable. The plot will go sidelines with the occurrences from the original story and do my best to not side track the story, but I have to warn that at some point the story goes highwire. This is the Story of Yashin, whom transfers schools at the same point as Miu, ending in the same school as Kenichi and ending falling in love with a certain someone. There's not much going on, but I think the start is rather good.

The WereLionesses Mate
She was running out of breath, but that didn't matter, all that mattered was getting away from him and proving him wrong. Branches scraped her face and her arms, her body burning hot; but cold from her sweat as the wind blew over her skin. Her pants soaked from running through the streams, her shirt ripped to shreds around her stomach from very low hanging branches. Her hair, a tumbling fiery mess of tangles, and waves slipping through the ponytail she had quickly fastened trying to tame her wild hair. Running and crawling on the ground through the forest floor, trying to get back to the camp grounds so Whhooossshhhh! All of a sudden a giant gust of wind flew past her nearly lifting her off the ground and throwing her into a tree. Where in the world did that wind come from? She thought, but she kept running like it had never happened. She jumped over a fallen log, ignoring the fact that she almost fell in the process. She zoomed past all the trees and sprinted over the roots coming out of the ground. She rounded another tree coming to a sudden halt at seeing him standing there with a drink in his hand laughing and joking. She stood there wondering how in the world he could have beaten her here; He looked at her then, He looked, well, handsome, his faced was clean shaven and his button up shirt was all unbuttoned minus the three at the bottom. She could still visibly see his bronze chest and the top of his ripped-hard abs. He walked over to her and smiled, showing all of his teeth, the smile reaching his eyes. His eyes were dark and stormy, their color was usually a nice honey brown but now his eyes looked mid-night black. They looked like they could kill a man at eighty paces, but could sweep a woman off her feet at the same time.
