Feng Luotian’s expression froze for a while. His smile disappeared as he thought: "Can’t you just let me be a reincarnator who holds an absolute advantage over others by using his knowledge and memory from his past life? If you could tell me more than what I know, then why do I need to become a reincarnator in this life?"
After that Feng Luotian had no choice but to read the monster core’s description from the Kronos as it was more accurate. He could only tell the monster core’s type by looking at its name, but not to the exact skill proficiency it gave.
After careful consideration, Feng Luotian dejectedly picked the only Nine Fangs monster core, two Eight and one Seven. “I just want these four, but it’s not enough to trade with this Talon core. Can I take a look at the front and pick all that I want?”
The shop owner was shaking all over in excitement: “Of course, young master.”
Feng Luotian casually threw Wight Wolf Core to the shop owner: “Good!! Take this then.”
Not expecting this, the shop owner felt his heart drop as he used both hands to quickly catch the core. Following that, Feng Luotian returned to the storefront, checked all the cores’ descriptions, and swept those that fit his skills into his bag. His bag was now inflated until it was almost burst apart.
At the moment when Feng Luotian was about to walk out of the gem shop, the owner quickly caught up to him: “Young master, please accept this gift as a token of gratitude.” As a matter of fact, in the owner’s perspective, Feng Luotian gave more than he took, while in Feng Luotian’s view, it was the opposite.
The owner was giving him a spatial ring that could store items inside it. Feng Luotian gladly accepted as it was much more convenient this way. He would not want to carry a huge pile of monster cores around as it was quite hard to walk with that.

Feng Luotian waved his hand and put monster cores he got from the shop within the ring: “Thank you, owner.”
The owner sincerely smiled with Feng Luotian's words of gratitude, then he warned out of consideration: “Not at all, young master. We have made a huge profit just by this single transaction. But young master, carrying such wealth around will definitely attract some attention. And I can only suggest you be careful.”
“Oh? If someone wants it, then come and take it.”
Feng Luotian said his piece and left. Immediately after that, a few shadows followed him closely.
Noticing this, the owner sighed: “Why does God’s son have to be a cripple? I can only hope that someone will come and save him in time.”
Instead of going to a crowded place, such as the city gate where he could use his identity to be protected by the guards there, Feng Luotian slowly walked into an empty narrow alley as his destination. Once he confirmed that no one was in the area, he leaned on the wall to wait for his visitors.
Not a minute had passed, three silhouettes appeared at the alley entrance blocking the sunlight. They were of course one of the people within the gem shop earlier.
They said as they all were closing in, looking like common thugs with blonde hair.
“Well, well. Good morning, God’s son!!”
“It looks like you’ve been waiting for us.”
“Since you already noticed us, why didn’t you go to a more crowded place and request help?”
“Anyway, just hand that spatial ring over, so you don’t have to get hurt!!”
The leader of the three held out his hand and beckon Feng Luotian to surrender the item.
Feng Luotian responded: “Well, good morning, fellow brothers. As for the question you just asked, why don’t you try to think for a bit about why I didn’t choose a more crowded place for our little ‘transaction’?”
One of the robbers snarled: “Hmph!! It couldn’t possibly be that you wanted to deal with us secretly and didn’t want others to witness it, right, God’s Crippled Son?!”
Feng Luotian praised them and clapped his hands in excitement: “Wow!! You actually answered correctly in one try!! You must be quite smart.”

The trio looked at each other then started laughing: “Hahaha, do you think you can defeat us?”
Feng Luotian shook his head: “Oh, that is a wrong answer. I won’t be defeating you.”
The leader said: “What do you mean?”
Feng Luotian smiled and answered: “I will be killing you.”
Meeting Feng Luotian’s cold gaze, the three robbers were trembling all over. Someone who they thought was just a commoner could instill fear upon them. This was humiliation, so they became furious as they roared: “You bastard!!”
They instantly activated their Theríon at the same time.
Name: Ge Xiong
Level: Four Fangs
Bloodline: Blonde Feather Sonar Pigeon
Bloodline Ability: Sonar Hearing
The user would be able to hear much further than others. Name: Ge Hai
Level: Three Fangs
… Name: Ge Zi
Level: Three Fangs
…
Remark: All of them had the same bloodline and ability
Even without Kronos telling him their detailed info, Feng Luotian could already sense their cultivation levels ever since he left the gem shop. And with their cultivation levels, there was no need for Feng Luotian to know their bloodline and its ability at all. How could a reincarnator, who had a few centuries of battle experiences, not deal with some gangsters at the same and lower cultivation levels?
Feng Luotian disdainfully commented: “Hmph!! With such an ability, you all could have contributed to the city by being an excellent search team or even intel scouts. Instead, you chose to become thieves. Well then, let’s fight and be done with it!!”
Three thugs charged at Feng Luotian throwing their fists and kicks: “Die!!”
Feng Luotian’s purple eyes flashed blue as he activated [Momentum Eyes] ability.
Before the attacks reached him, Feng Luotian saw blue trails of light indicating the incoming fists and kicks’ projectiles. Not only did he see the incoming attacks, but he could also see the projectiles of the trio’s body. When Feng Luotian moved his body out of all the attacks’ paths, he calculated the time and flung his punch to the incoming face from one of the three.
A moment later, three attacks were dodged and the one named Ge Xiong got a punch in the face. As the other two’s attacks missed, they stumbled past Feng Luotian, but right after they turned back trying to continue their assault, one of them named Ge Hai met with a whip kick to his stomach. His body was sent flying towards the one called Ge Zi causing them to fall down together.
“H-How did you? You’re just a cri…”
Not even able to finish his own sentence, Ge Xiong’s face was grabbed by a sturdy hand and was pushed towards the wall. With a loud boom, his body was buried deep into the wall as blood started to flow out from his skull.
Feng Luotian was wrapped in lightning sparks as he activated [Pinnacle Flash Lightning].
When Ge Hai and Ge Zi finally got up from the ground, they sensed a flash of lightning passed right by them. Suddenly, with two cracking sounds, the scene before them turned 180 degrees clockwise. After their worlds were turned upside down, their visions gradually dimmed down as their bodies once again fell to the ground. Feng Luotian had twisted their heads within a second.
Feng Luotian slowly walked towards Ge Xiong. His hand reached out to grab the throat.
Ge Xiong pleaded in terror: “P-P-Please spare me, young master.” His face was full of tears as his heart was in fear.
Feng Luotian indifferently said: “Tell me why. Why should I spare you?”
Ge Xiong: “I-I’ll … I’ll be a good man in the future and will never again commit a crime. I’ll contribute to the city.” His voice was trembling as he was trying to find a reason to let him escape death.
Feng Luotian asked again: “Really? Then what would be my ending today if I’m not strong enough? Remember one thing … a single lie will cost you your life.”
Ge Xiong: “W-We just wanted to threaten you and get the item. That’s all. We never intended to hurt you. P-Please, you have to believe m…”
Before he could beg for his own life, his throat was ruthlessly pulled out by Feng Luotian.

The Animo Saga
Before history was well-recorded in the world of Ulakam, primordial animal spirits adopted humans, provided protection and developed deep spiritual connections with them. Millennia later, humans now host animal spirits and are split into tribes named for the species they host. Ulakam is slowly being consumed by a decades-long war pitting the main tribes against the smaller tribes and a group of bandits calling themselves "the resistance". Callida Animo was born into this world. Coming from a mixed family of generational soldiers, Callida joined the family business at a young age. In her words, she was practically bred, born, and raised to be a soldier. And she's good at what she does... which inevitably attracts attention that makes her unambitious self extremely uncomfortable. Love, loss, influence and growth. This is her story. Written episodically, this story focuses on relationships and character growth through a series of mini-arcs that connect to make a greater whole. (Honestly, the story would lend itself well to a TV series.) "Episodes" range from 3-7 chapters (at least so far), and average about 4 or 5 chapters. Author's note: I'm always thrilled to receive comments, follows, ratings/reviews, messages.... All forms of feedback are welcome and encouraged. However, I have no interest in begging readers for more engagement to get better visibility. I tried that with my last story and found the game soul-sucking. So! This constitutes my only self-promotion request. If you are reading this story, let me know what you think! I love engaging with my readers. We'll see if growing the readership organically is even possible. Thank you! 😘 Release schedule: Weekly on Wednesday afternoons
