《The Supernatural Case of an Accidental Time Traveler》Beginning Of The End - Part 049

As Merlin’s puppet charged at me with all the speed he could muster I forced the blue-ish black mist to form around me. His punch was barely a centimeter away from me as I dodged and cut his head off. Returning my sword to its scabbard I let out a sigh of relief.

“Impossible, the robe protects me from all physical attacks.” he sputtered out before his head fell from his body and the rest of him collapsed to the ground. A pool of blood seeped out onto the bridge in a trail that led into the canal below.

“The robe was useless after the runes were gone. My blade absorbs any magic it touches, including the magic used in runes. You were just too ignorant to notice.” I explained to no one in particular before walking back over the bridge from where I came.

Iscarat ran up to the bridge. “Micheal. Is that really you?” He asked as I began walking away.

“Been a while Iscarat. How are you doing old friend?” I said in the friendliest way I could as I turned back to face him.

“Fairly well. Would you mind healing the two idiots before you disappear again?” He asked.

“Of course I do. They have a perfectly good witch with plenty of skill to do that.” I replied knowing full well that Elysif could heal our bodies with ease.

“You’re an absolute bastard.” Iscarat said with a chuckle. I turned away with a wave and continued over the bridge. The clanking of his metal shoes echoed throughout the area before I closed my eyes and returned again to the world of stars.

“Let me guess? You want me to send you to the next place that the mashed man appears?” Tim asked as I appeared.

“Not really. I just needed to take a break. I think I meet Silva after the whole werewolf incident so I think I’ll drop her off there. Then I can let her do her own thing until I arrive during Medea’s ritual.” I said.

“You are correct. However, do you really trust Silva to do everything that is necessary?” Tim asked.

“She has all of my memories so I doubt she would mess up anything. Plus, you’ve told me time and time again that everything is set in stone.” I replied.

“You’re correct. I guess I was hoping that you would have some other idea up your sleeve. Sadly, I was mistaken.” Tim said.

“What did you think I was going to do? I may not have given up but I have given up on defying you and fate.” I said.

“It’s nothing. Just do what you need to and leave me alone.” Tim said before laying on her stomach and making a pouty face. It was quite adorable but I knew that she didn’t want me there anymore so I focused on the night before Scott left and closed my eyes.

When I opened my eyes I was near the cemetery that Mordred was buried in under the guise of Silva. It was somewhere near the middle of the night but that was expected. Had I arrived in the middle of the day then my past self would have passed out on the spot.

“Silva, can you come out?” I asked. After a second or so she appeared out of the pendant.

“What is it?” she asked with a tired look.

“Do you know what happens next?” I asked.

“You go to my grave and we have a talk. Though, I don’t like the talk we have. Am I correct?” Silva said with the same tired look.

“Well, yes. You have to do some other stuff after that and I won’t be here again until Medea activates her ritual.” I replied.

“Yeah, yeah. Just go. I’ll deal with everything on my end.” she said as if I was being annoying. She must still be mad at me after the whole Scott incident.

“Alright then. I’ll be going. Just don’t screw things up, okay.” I said before closing my eyes and returning to the world of stars.

Appearing before Tim again, I couldn’t help but feel that this was getting repetitive. Thankfully, there was only one more place for me to appear before I could take on Merlin. Beyond what was considered set in stone. However, if I failed then I wouldn’t get another chance. If I failed then no matter how many times I tried, I would fail again and again.

“You have one more place to go before.” Tim said with a bored look.

“I know.” I said.

“Before you go, there is one thing that I need.” Tim said.

“And what would that be?” I asked.

“Your mask.” Tim replied as a worried look appeared on her usually blank face.
