“Micheal! I’m sorry, I should have known it was you. What are you doing here though?” she asked as if she didn’t already know the answer. Why she used that name instead of Lou concerned me but I didn’t care enough to ask about it.

“I believe today might be the day that we have to put that plan into action.” I replied, hinting at faking her death.

“... I see. Can I tell my husband? I think he deserves to know at this point, same with Compton and Elysif.” she asked even though she knew the answer as well as I did. That said, I understood her desire to tell them.

“I understand your reasoning but they cannot know yet. They must carry the burden of your death so that they may see what the Agency really is for themselves. They will not betray the Agency on your words alone, especially if the reasoning behind those words is me.”

“Okay, but I still feel like I am betraying them.”

“Do you remember what I showed you? I will protect them until the time comes and you will be able to enjoy a peaceful life with all of them. You have more than just my word.” I asked knowing that she had all my memories.

“So tonight is the night I die then?” she asked. If I remembered correctly then she died on November 9th.

“No, you shall die in the morning.”

“Alright, where shall I meet my demise?”

“Leave your home at midnight tonight and meet me in this alley. It is right on the riverfront not far from here."

"..."

"Are you wondering if the rumor I told you is true or not? If so then yes, the rumors are true. Werewolves are bringing people here as slaves but they don’t make it off the ships alive.”

“What does that mean?”

“They are sacrifices for the one who will kill you.”

As soon as I said this I walked out of the alleyway and closed my eyes. Focusing on this exact spot I opened my eyes again to see that it was around Midnight. Since there was no choice but to wait I leaned against the wall of the building. After a while of waiting, I was starting to get hungry. However, I couldn’t just leave and grab something to eat. Plus, who would be open at this hour?

“Is there any food in there that I can have? I’m getting a little hungry.” I asked.

“Yeah, I think we have some leftover sausages.” Compton replied before a sausage appeared out of the pendant moments later.

“Thanks.” I said as I lifted it to my mask. The mask morphed to allow access to my mouth just as I saw Silva walking into the alley. She was dressed in a long grey coat, probably because of the fact that it was pretty chilly out.

“Well, where are we headed, Micheal?” Silva asked to make sure I knew she was there.

“The wharf. There's a longhouse that is currently housing a vessel that normally trades with China but has a few shady dealing while they’re over there. Usually with people as their main product. That vessel is also a collaboration of the Agency.” I replied with the knowledge I gained from skimming through Merlin’s papers.

“Do they know that people are being traded through this ship?” Silva asked.

“Most of them, no. There are a few that must know about it though, plus the imposter we’re after.”

“How many werewolves are there?”

“Twelve but the issue is the imposter. He’s there with them. If I can capture him then we may be able to expose them.” I replied. I knew it probably wouldn’t work considering that the future is already set. However, trying to kill Merlin hasn’t worked out well so capture sounds a lot safer for us.

“I see. Then we should head out.” Silva replied, understanding why I would rather capture him.

“Agreed.” I said before stuffing the rest of the sausage into my mouth and heading towards the Longhouse with Silva following behind. Realizing that it probably wasn’t a good idea for me to be seen here, I disappeared inside the pendant the moment that we arrived at the longhouse.

“I hate it when he does that.” Silva said to herself as I disappeared. Once she was inside the longhouse I had Lily switch out with me and carry the pendant so that we could watch Silva. Flying up to the top of the longhouse Lily snuck in through a large hole in the wall and watched as Silva stabbed a burly man in the chest. His body turned to ashen dust before she hid just out of sight of the others in the longhouse.
