《The Supernatural Case of an Accidental Time Traveler》Beginning Of The End - Part 043

As soon as I appeared in Canary Wharf everyone appeared out of the Pendant and the four of us split up to look for the building they were hiding in. we agreed to meet back at the bridge crossing the river near two in the afternoon. We each had our own money for food so we would just eat lunch wherever was closest when we got hungry instead of raiding the kitchen in the pendant.

After several hours of searching, I hadn’t found anything. Unlike the others, I couldn’t go around asking for rumors because of this horrid mask. Yeah, it was great for translation but it looked so creepy. Meeting up at the bridge like we had agreed we all had found nothing involving werewolves. However, Compton did see Merlin in one of the buildings so we decided to look there.

Lily went inside and waited until Merlin left. As soon as he did she let us inside and we began looking around. It was a simple boathouse with a stairway on either side of the building leading to a loft. The loft itself wasn’t anything special. However, it did have a desk covered in various papers. One of the papers described a ritual where one could sacrifice a person to gain their life force and transmit said life force to another.

Among other papers was a schedule for the next shipment. It seemed that he was using the werewolves to transport them via ship so that he could invoke the ritual without having to leave England. Other papers included how many people worked on the ship he was using and who knew about this operation. There was more information as well but most of it didn’t matter

Since we now knew exactly where we needed to be everyone returned inside the pendant. Closing my eyes once again, I opened them to see that I was in Whitechapel. However, I had no clue where Silva was. If I didn’t find her and tell her then she would eventually show up here. However, if she was with Scott then I wouldn’t be able to talk to her.

“Any idea where they might be?” I asked Elysif and Compton.

“Silva and Scott usually go to Monty’s bar. If I remember correctly they should be heading there for dinner.” elysif replied.

“Alright then. Where is Monty’s bar?” I asked as I had never been there.

“Head down the street to your left. I’ll guide you there.” Elysif replied

Following Elysif’s direction, I ended up at a small bar at the edge of Whitechapel. Since there was no point in using my ability as I may miss Silva, I sat in the alleyway across the street. Near six in the afternoon, I saw Scott walk into Monty’s bar. Unlike his drunken self, he seemed to carry himself with pride and looked happy. It was almost as if something died inside of him after this whole incident.

My mind was taken away from my thoughts about Scott as soon as I saw Silva walking down the street. However, if I left the alleyway then there was a chance that Scott would see me. Instead, I sent Lily out, who told her everything about Merlin and the werewolf slave trade issue. Based on what I saw she understood what Lily was saying before continuing on her path and entering Monty’s bar.

As soon as Lily returned to my pendant I closed my eyes and focused on the outside of the apartment. When I opened them again I was exactly where I planned on being. It was early morning on November 8th so I hid and waited for Silva and Scott to leave. As soon as they did though I was behind them a good distance.

I followed them to Canary Wharf until they split up. Following Silva wasn’t much of a hassle. I expect that she noticed that someone was watching her though as she began going through alleyways in a way that looked like she was trying to avoid someone tailing her. Because of this, I switched out with Lily and she flew over the alleyways to get a view of her.

Once we had figured out where she was heading Lily switched out with me in one of the alleyways that she was heading towards. She had drawn her sword partially as she entered the alleyway. Looking behind her as she did, not expecting me to be directly in front of her. Without much warning, she drew her sword the rest of the way and in one fluid motion turned around to hit me from above. Drawing my own sword, I blocked her rapier. This caused her to give me a shocked look before retracting her sword and returning it to her sheath.

“That’s no way to treat an old friend. You could have cut somebody.” I said with a snarky attitude.
