《The Supernatural Case of an Accidental Time Traveler》War - Part 043

With Medea acting weird due to Elysif’s conversation with her, I decided to snag her a plate of food that I could bring back to her. Though, I was curious. What exactly did she say to her to get her acting like that? I hope it wasn’t anything bad. Although, I wouldn’t put it past Elysif to use them bathing together as an oppurtunity to get at her mother. I guess I’ll have to confront her about it later. For now though, Merlin was more pressing of a matter. He wasn’t at dinner and neither was Arthur.
“Hey, where is Merlin and Athur?” I asked Lancelot who happened to be eating a few seats from me.
“You don’t know? Both of them are in the meeting hall discussing the plan for how to best deal with the siege on London. They should be joining us later.” Lancelot said in between bites.
“Thanks.” I said as I got up from my seat with Medea’s plate and headed to the meeting hall. Lancelot started to stop me as I got up but stopped partway and sat back down.
Heading down a few halls and up some stairs I made my way to the room with the Round Table. Peaking in I saw Merlin in the proccess of explaining any and all possible ways that the enemy could attack London with the limited knowledge that they had. The messenger didn’t give an enemy headcount or any indication as to how they were laying their siege. All they knew was that they were mainly on boats.
I’ve got it! How about we put Galahad into a catapult and shoot him at the ships? We could also have our forces swim through the channel to the enemy base under the cover of darkness the night before. Once Galahad starts dealing with the ships then our men attack the enemies and throw them into disarray.” Arthur offered.

“It could work. However, Galahad is at the eastern fort. It would take him a few days to get to London and it would take a courier the same amount of time to deliver the news to him. No one else has the same raw strength that he does among our knights and only a few that come close to his power have volunteered.” Merlin said, dissatisfied with Arthur’s plan.
“That is true. I forgot about that. Perhaps, we could send in a small team of our strongest knights to attack their main forces when they least expect it. Maybe even set their camp on fire and take out their commanders? As for their boats, we can deal with them using catapults and volleys of arrows. Without their boats and commanders they will be in the palm of our hands.” Arthur said with a sly smile.
“It could work. Let’s keep that as an idea for now. We can discuss it more once we see the battlefield.” Merlin replied.
“Agreed. Well, I’ll be off to dinner. You should eat something too with us. It wouldn’t hurt to enjoy others' company.” Arthur said as he got up.
“I think I’m fine. Enjoy your meal.” Merlin said. The sound of Arthur coming to the door made me shift away from it to avoid being seen. Huddling myself into a small corner just out of sight, I just barely avoided Arthur’s line of sight. Once he had left the hall completely, I went back over to the door and peaked in. Merlin was still standing there with the same expression he had before. Then it shifted ever so slightly.
Kicking the chair that Arthur had been sitting in he let out a yell. The calm, collected, Merlin was no longer there. He was pissed. Everything from his pupils to his gripped fists let out an air of rage.

“How dare he sit there with a damned smile on his face after what he’s done! He could have prevented Freya’s death damn it! He knew she was going to die! Him and that damned masked freak! he said angrily.once he yelled that out he sat down in one of the chairs and rubbed his chin as if he was scheming something.
“I doubt it would be difficult for me to have him die on the battlefield. Removing Micheal wouldn’t be much more difficult. However, I want to know how that man knew about her murder in the first place. Perhaps, I could kill Arthur and capture Micheal? Torture wouldn’t be all that difficult since he can regenerate his limbs. I could make it an entertaining experience.” Merlin said to himself with an angry chuckle.
Seeing as how he probably didn’t want me to hear that I quickly snuck away from the door and back to my room. Medea was still wrapped up in the blanket on the bed. I couldn’t tell if she was asleep or just really determined to make me feel bad by pouting for such a long time. Either way, I walked over to the bedside and set down the plate of food on the end table.
“I brought you some food. If you’re asleep or don’t want it then I understand. However, I would like you to try and eat something.” I said to Medea before walking back out of the room.
Since I had the time I went down a few hallways until I was in an area that people wouldn’t usually pass through around this time. Despite that, there were a few people who would frequent this spot. Calling to Elysif, she soon appeared out of the pendant with an innocent look on her face.
“What is it?” she asked.
“What did you say or do to Medea? I want to know the truth.” I asked with a serious tone.
