《The Supernatural Case of an Accidental Time Traveler》War - Part 015

Just as Gwaine was laying his head down Merlin walked out of the back room with an annoyed look on his face. Following behind him was Galehuat holding out his sack full of sword pieces and a pleading look on his face. Lancelot and Arthur were both in the back room so all I could see was both of them pinching the bridge of their noses in unison.
“Please ask your wife to fix it?” Galehuat pleaded. Turning around, Merlin looked him dead in the eye with an even more annoyed look despite Galehuat standing five heads taller than him.
“I understand your desire but it’s not that simple. There are no ponds, lakes, or even wells for me to use a gate around here. The closest thing is a stream and that cannot be used as a gateway because it’s rushing water. Use one of the many weapons available to the other knights and think about how to use your sword responsibly next time.” Merlin said before turning back around and walking out the door of the building.
Lancelot walked up to him and patted him on the back a bit before sitting down at the table. Arthur then walked out of the room and sat down as well. He, just like Gwaine, gave me a weird look at the sight of the lifeless corpse of Iscarat hanging over my shoulder like a sack.
“Who’s that?” Arthur asked.
“An old friend. He died a little bit ago and I was wondering if you could give him a nights burial?” I asked.
“I don’t see why not. Some of the less capable knights are currently digging holes to bury our dead comrades so why don’t you see about adding another.” Arthur said.
“Thank you.” I replied before heading out the door and to the fort gate.

Meanwhile…
Due to the sound of battle ceasing Medea and Lily emerged from their hiding spot. The back room of a small shack filled with barrels of liquor. It wasn’t much of a hiding spot but it was enough for them at the moment. As they started to sneak around the barrels they heard the sound of someone opening the door. Assuming it was one of the knights they climbed out to to see who it was only to see two shadows.
Shadows were a mass of shadow mimicking voids. Though they could easily take a human form at will in order to blend in with society. Known to many as the spies of the supernatural planes. They were weak but also effective assassins and not just one but two stood in front of them. The sight of the child and child-like fairy sent both of them into a hurry to capture them. Grabbing Medea and Lily before they could even scream, they smothered their mouths to prevent them from calling for help.
“What do we do? Children weren’t supposed to be here.” one of the shadows said.
“We carry out the plan and take them as hostages.” the other shadow said.
“Well, this one does suit me.” the first shadow said with a chuckle as he looked at Medea. As he did Medea bit the hand that was smothering her mouth. Causing the shadow to yelp in pain and release his hand.
“You bitch.” he said before slapping her across the face. Medea simply stared up at him with a look of indignation.
“When my master hears of this he’ll have your head!” Medea said angrily.
“And just who is this great master of your kid?” he asked in a mocking tone.
“Sir Micheal of the Round Table.” she stated proudly.

“If it’s the Round Table then they’ll be sure to come after us. We could use that to our advantage.” the shadow holding Lily said.
“Agreed. We take her with us. What about the other one?” he asked.
“We take her too. It would be a shame if she told everyone what we were doing.” the shadow replied as he lifted Lily by her arm out to the other shadow.
“Right.” the other shadow said before grabbing Lily and holding her with Medea. The other shadow then began going through the barrels and dumping vials of a clear liquid into them.
“Let’s go.” he said once he was done. As he did though, Lily shrunk down into her fairy form and flew off as quickly as she could.
“Dammit. We need to go before she warns everyone that we’re here.” the shadow said in a panic. Both the shadows quickly morphed into their shadow-like forms with Medea covered by their shadow-like bodies and got out of their as quickly as possible.
Lily flying as fast as she could was searching for anyone who could help her. Though everyone she asked for help was either busy or didn’t care for the words of a fairy. It wasn’t until she saw Lou outside the fort, digging a grave alongside many others who were doing the same. Flying up to me she grew back into her human size and began breathing heavily as if she just sprinted a whole mile after not running for a long time..
“Oh, hey Lily. Sorry I haven’t gone to find you or Medea but I got a little busy. Where is Medea though?” I asked.
“Medea… she’s… been… taken!” Lily said in a panic between gasps of air.
