《The Supernatural Case of an Accidental Time Traveler》Round Table - Part 068

After the compliment Oberon shot forward again. Since I couldn’t defend I dodged backwards and swung my practice sword at him. It barely grazed him as he stopped right before it. Once he had dodged my strike he charged forward again. I kept jumping back to avoid his attacks and used the trees around us as much as possible to slow him down but I could barely put any space between us.
Since I had no other choice I ducked behind a tree and as soon as he popped around it I stabbed the practice sword into his chest. The blow sent him flying back a meter or so. With him down on the ground I lunged at him and began attacking him. Though as I did I felt slower. The mist dissipated around me just in time for Oberon to start speeding up. I wasn’t focusing enough. Shit!
“Don’t lose focus!” Oberon yelled as he shot up and kicked me in the face. The blow sent me on my back. As I hit the ground I desperately tried focusing on the same feeling. Like before the mist formed around me and I was barely able to dodge a body slam from Oberon. I quickly rolled over onto my feet and began running as I had before.
“Good, keep on focusing or you’ll die.” Oberon said as he gave chase.
“That sounds more like a threat than helpful advice.” I replied as I turned and tried clotheslining him with the practice sword. He ducked just in time but with a swift shift of his body he turned around and tried to punch me in the gut. Thankfully, Elysif’s web of blood shot directly in front of his fist. With that split second of time that I was given from Elysif I swung my practice sword at him.

Dropping into a crouch, Oberon ducked just below my swing and started to shoot forward in order to tackle me. However, Compton’s blade shot out of a small portal near my feet at Oberon. With no other choice Oberon did a flip backwards in order to dodge his blade.
“Good teamwork. I’m actually surprised that they can keep up with us at this speed.” Oberon said as he shook his hand. The hand that he was shaking had a small cut on it that was dripping blood before it completely closed up as if it was never there.
“We are more skilled than you give us credit for.” Compton said pridefully.
“Quite…” Oberon said before charging at us again. With even greater speed than before he lunged forward and sent a flurry of punches my way. I blocked them as I could with the practice sword and even Elysif helped me to defend myself from his blows.
His constant attacks gave me very little room to attack and although Compton’s attacks would throw him off guard, it never really hit him. He was just too fast. Then it happened. One of his punches struck the practice sword just right causing it to shatter where he punched it. This left me with only the hilt and the end which I had lost as it was sent flying backwards.
Before I could even think about what to do I felt a tug on my back which then dragged me away from Oberon at a faster speed than I was capable of moving. The thing that was pulling me was a single strand of Elysif’s blood. Though as it pulled me it was starting to fray which was bad for me since I was being pulled by it.
“Thanks Elysif!” I said right before it snapped.

“Y-you’re welcome. Though I have to sit out for a minute. I feel a bit light headed.” Elysif replied in between rapid breaths.
“Okay, do what you need to.” I replied as Oberon shot at me and tried punching me in the chest. With my arms raised up I blocked the attack but the blow sent me flying down into the forest floor. Next thing I see is a foot as it’s about to be slammed into me. As quickly as possible I roll to the side and attempt a leg sweep. The problem is that I was never taught how to do a leg sweep. Thus, I ended up tapping his ankle and looking stupid while doing it.
“You okay there? I didn’t hit you in the head did I?” Oberon asks as he stared me in the eyes with a dumbfounded look.
“Nope!” I yell before kicking him in the calf and booking it as far from him as possible.
“Don’t be a coward!” I heard him yell before chasing after me. All this time I’m trying to focus on keeping the same feeling so that I can keep up with his speed. Though it is very hard to keep up that effect.
Behind me I could hear the footsteps of Oberon chasing after me with surprising vigor. Looking behind me didn’t put me that at ease because when I did I noticed that he was directly behind me. I wasn’t very keen on that so I fell into a roll so that he would speed past me a little bit. Which he did as expected. Once he was in front of me I jumped at him and attempted to kick him as hard as I could.
Without much surprise he turned back to face me and grabbed my leg. Using my force he swung me around and slammed me into the ground. Though he did so with such speed and force that he ended up ripping my leg off in the process. My body hit the ground and rolled back. Once I was on my stomach I pushed up and kicked with my one leg forward. As I did my other leg started to form back, allowing me to push off of it a little.
Pushing past the pain of my leg being ripped off I swung my right fist at him which he deflected. However, I followed with my left hand which he didn’t have time to deflect, dodge, or block. Instead he took it before I released my own flurry of blows to his face.

No Strings Attached [Rewritten]
Warning Just so you know, you better be paying attention to the chapter title or else it's going to be like travelling across multiverses. Explanation Due to a single comment made by a wonderful person, or some douchebag in real life, I have decided to create two seperate stories. A rewritten version, and the original version. The rewritten version will somewhat follow the original storyline of the original version, but will have extra content, extra side stories of course rewritten personalities. The original one will be like a rough draft of where I want the story to go. Like for instance, the original story is like the first Link from 'Legend of Zelda', choppy but fun to read. The rewritten story is the Link from any game during and after Windwaker, smooth and somewhat follows the main premise. Overall both are going to be probably terribly done but hey, I'm creating a furture and past story so what should you expect. - Styx Whatever just put up the revised description. - Ariel Edited Summary Jay W. Blu, a dashing and charming rich boy who's been spoiled his whole life. He is very cocky, has a case of egomania and isn't exactly what you call a 'Relatable Main character', unless you somehow fit one of these descriptions and then relate all you want. He had everything you would probably want if you weren't pessimistic, realistic, or chronically depressed. But as most reincarnation/summoning stories go, he get's himself killed at whatever age he was and is sent to another world. Normally, he would be summoned as something you would call a hero, but since that's to cliche by my standards he is something else. Instead of being the hero of the people that he was told about by a friend, he instead summoned as the anti-hero aka, 'The Hero of Demons'. Now he must traverse the lands slaying opposing heroes as he tries to keep his mind straight, although it's to late. There will be weird people along the journey like a fangirling war general, a hive mind and a manly magical girl? Oh well, Jay is too pure to see love anyways.
