"That doesn't make it okay. Using people isn't okay." Mordred said with an annoyed tone.
"I know but I couldn't really say anything with her around. Also you saved me a lot of time when you offered to take her inside the pendant. She can do a lot less harm there than out here." I replied as we walked back to where the tree bed was.
"Again, that doesn't make it okay." She said persistently.
"I understand you don't want to be used since Merlin used you for so long. I can't even imagine what that felt like for you. Truly, I am sorry and I want you to forgive me but please understand that it was necessary and no one was hurt." I replied with a similarly annoyed tone.
"Fine but never use me again for anything without first asking me."
"I promise that I will never use you without your permission." I said earnestly.
"Thank you. Now, I can't wait to eat!" She said as we continued on.
Upon our arrival the leprechauns brought us some food and everyone soon appeared out of the pendant. Lily was wearing a small dress with the back cut out for her wings and her hair was In a simple french braid that sat between them. We all ate and talked before finally going to sleep for the night.
Like before I was awoken by the morning horn and was launched from the tree bed which attacked me per usual. I noticed that not only were my reflexes getting quicker but also my speed. Though as before I simply whacked the creature and ran off. This continued as more powerful fae kept appearing in the forest to attack me for days on end.
The days went on and it was getting easier as it went. Though I was surprised to experience a change a few days later. Rather than being woken up by the morning horn I awoke to Oberon and Titania standing beside me. I thought that I was going to die so I desperately jumped away and raised the training sword.

“Don’t be alarmed. I figured that was enough hunting. Usually one of us would have killed our prey by now so I’m getting bored. Let’s just skip to something more one on one.” Oberon said nonchalantly with a smile.
“What do you mean by that?” I asked with my practice sword still raised.
“Exactly what it sounds like.” Oberon replied with an even creepier smile. With a snap of Titania’s fingers the area we stood in was dissolved into the earth and a large clearing of moss appeared in its place.
“What?” just as I said this Oberon lunged at me. I charged forward to meet him only for him to disappear. The initial shock from him disappearing made me confused. Looking around I saw he had appeared just behind me. I jumped back only for him to disappear behind me again. Turning around to strike him ended up failing. He grabbed my arm and snapped my bone completely with just a flick of his finger. I started yelling in pain before falling back on my ass.
“Sorry about that. I have problems with toning it down on humans. I just assume that they can take more damage that they actually can.” Oberon said before taking a few steps away.
“You asshole. That hurt! How did you do that anyways?” I asked angrily as my arm snapped back into place and healed back up.
“You mean the teleporting? Well, it’s not that, I assure you. I can displace time. Part of that includes jumping forward in time and altering the time around me.” he said like a stuck up rich kid.
“That’s too overpowered to exist.” I said.
“And you can time travel while also healing insanely fast. If you ask me then you’re the overpowered one.” Oberon replied as if he was jealous.

“So you want to fight me and force me to become stronger?” I asked.
“Correct, but I also want you to do something for me in return.”
“And what’s that?”
“I’ll tell you when you beat me!” he yelled as he lunged at me again. This time I stood my ground and rest assured he disappeared. I tried to turn around to face where I thought he would appear. He didn’t though. Instead he reappeared right where he had disappeared from and tapped my shoulder in such a way that it sent me flying to the other side of the clearing.
“You ass!” I yelled as I slowly got up.
“I’ll watch your back!” Elysif said from inside the pendant.
“Where the hell have you been?” I asked with an angry tone.
“I thought today would be like normal so I was taking my time to get over here.” she replied.
“Well, I’m about to get my ass kicked so I really don’t care so long as you help me.” I replied as I gave a threatening gaze towards Oberon. I know he couldn’t see it but I bet he could sense it.

Conquest of Avalon
Revenge. The Kingdom of Avalon swept across the Empire of the Fox a generation past, conquering the heartlands and leaving the broken remnants to stew in the island duchy of Guerron. This isn't a story of Good versus Evil, of kindly kings doing their best to lift all subjects, or of unvarnished heroes doing battle against evil. Instead, this story is about power: who has it, who wants it, and what people will do to obtain it. It is about the violence inherent in the imperial project and how even the most well-intentioned rulers and conquerors are, still, engaging in systemic violence against those conquered and defeated. Our three point-of-view characters are a peasant turned fire wizard, an excitable duelist with more enthusiasm than sense, and a scheming mage-priestess bent on reclaiming her family's birthright and waging war on the foreign oppressors who rule her home... no matter the cost in blood or treasure.
