Running as fast as I could with a limp as the wound on my leg wasn’t healing. In fact, it seemed to be getting worse. I wanted to examine it but with two pissed off gods chasing after me, it didn’t seem like a good time.
“Elysif, can you take a look at it for me?” I asked.
“I can’t, I’m in the pendant. If you hold the pendant to your leg then maybe.” she said. Taking the pendant off I held it down to my thigh as I ran.
“How does it look?” I asked.
“Bad.”
“Okay, tell me something I don’t know.” I replied.
“Your wound is spreading and all blood in the wound isn’t flowing at all. It was as if the arrow completely froze the flesh and blood in your thigh.” she said.
“Can you fix it?” I asked with a worried tone.
“Perhaps if I remove what you didn’t pull out of your leg then it may allow you to start healing.” she said.
“Try it.” I said as I continued running. I felt several shocks of pain in my thigh as blood needles pierced my leg and pulled out small bits of mistletoe and mistletoe seeds. The only thing that kept me running through the pain was the adrenaline rush I had and the fear of getting shot again.
“I got them out.” Elysif yelled. As she did I pulled the pendant back over my head and continued on. Suddenly my leg had the worst pain imaginable and the shock from the pain sent me crashing to the forest floor with a yell. Looking down at it, I noticed it was beginning to heal and the yellowish green color disappeared.
“You okay?” Compton asked.

“Nope, I am in a lot of pain. I think I’ll just let them kill me now. That was what was probably going to happen in the first place.” I said.
“You are an idiot!” Elysif stated. “You are alive in the future. Obviously, you will not die here.”
“Oh, right. What do I do then?”
“Keep running, dumbass. Compton was wrong about being able to fight them. The only thing you can do is run for your life.” Elysif said.
“Okay, but keep what you can of those mistletoe pieces. They may come in handy.” I said.
“No need. I have the whole arrow.” I scarat said with a smug tone. I bet his face was smug too but I couldn’t see it. If I did though, I would probably slap him for being so smug.
“When did you get that?” Compton asked with a surprised tone.
“When Lou ripped it from his leg. I used a portal to put it in here. I figured if this thing could kill the God of time then it was worth studying.” Iscarat said.
“Well, we may be using it against two faerie gods so you’ll have to study it quickly.” I said as I got up and started jogging. The pain in my leg had settled but it wasn’t fully healed yet. Hopefully, it would heal soon enough.
Hours passed as I jogged through the forest without seeing any signs of Oberon or Titania. It was starting to feel somewhat safe. The only things I had seen so far were small fae who really had no business trying to fight me. That said, a swarm of hand sized faeries with spears is nothing to scoff at. Those little suckers hurt.
Though, I was getting tired and the fear of Oberon and Titania finding me was almost entirely gone. All I could hope for was the sound of the horn to call it a day. Then I could dine on fine food, booze, and maybe get some sleep. It was when I felt the most defeated when Titania slowly approached behind me with her bow drawn. Oberon approached as well with his bow drawn from my side. Barely catching out of the corner of my eye, I turned to face him. Then I realized Titania was behind me.

“You know what? Just kill me, I’m done. Just end my pain.” I said with a defeated sigh. Both of them gave me and each other a weird look. As they did the horn was blown and they lowered their bows.
