《The Supernatural Case of an Accidental Time Traveler》Round Table - Part 021

I stood among the world of stars. The endless feeling that I was useless ate at me as I stared Tim in the face. Dressed in the usual Greek style of robe the ethereal demon child casually walked around and waited for me to say something. Eventually Tim became annoyed at my silence and decided to call me out.
"Are you just going to sit there or are you going to ask me what's going on?" Tim asked with a somewhat annoyed voice.
"I kind of know what was going on. I've just been waiting for you to say something since it seemed like you wanted to tell me something." I replied.
"You're no fun! I guess I'll just go out and say it." Tim whined.
"Okay?"
"You are going to be time traveling to the distant past as our agreement. However, there are people there that exist here as well as in 1888. Because of this the universe will not allow for you to kill them. Any time you try, you will fail like Mordred did when she tried to kill you. Also you aren't allowed to let a past self meet their future selves." Tim explained.
"Okay, so I can't kill certain people and I can't let anyone I have in this amulet meet themselves."
"Exactly."
"I have a question about this mask. What is it and why can't I take it off?"
"It's an ancient Babylonian mask of cursed speech. The wearer can understand any language as well as speak it but it slowly kills the wearer. You don't have that problem though as your body keeps regenerating as it destroys it." Tim said.
"How did I get it though? I know you gave it to Medea who slapped it on me so where did the future me get it?" I asked.

"You think this is the first time you've gone around? You originally found it in a box marked to be locked away while in the Agency headquarters. You put it on as a joke and couldn't take it off. That started the original cycle of the mask in which you now wear."
"Okay, next question. Where exactly are you sending me?" I asked.
"You'll be arriving in England during the 500's. Alao, you will not be able to time travel for a while as I think it will be funny to see you living there for a while." Tim stated with a wave of a finger. Before I could ask anything else about it or call Tim a son of a bitch, I felt like I was falling. The world of stars quickly disappeared before feeling grass against my skin.
It was damp and warm against me but all I could feel was the urge to vomit. Standing up I realized I was now covered in mud. I looked around to see that to the east there were large fields with crops in some and animals in the others. The north was the same but a forest lay to the south. There was a small road that led west with a small village. Without much thought I began to walk towards the village.
"You should probably put your hood up. It may help to cover the mask." I heard, coming from somewhere. It sounded like Elysif but I wasn't entirely sure. I put my hood up anyways.
"I agree with that." I heard in a voice that sounded like Iscarat.
"Who is saying that?" I asked, trying to figure out where the voices were coming from.
"We're in the amulet. We can see and hear you. It also seems that you can hear us.” I heard Elysif say again.

“Oh, right. Silva did say that you would be able to see and hear what was going on outside of the amulet but I didn’t think you would be able to talk to me. How’s Mordred doing?” I asked as I looked at the amulet.
“Not so well. She was hit in her spine and I’m doing what I can with what Silva placed in here but it doesn’t look that great. Surprisingly Silva had a lot of herbs, spices, and medical supplies in here for me to use.” Elysif responded.
“That’s good. At least she’s still alive.” I said.
“I’m glad we even got out of there. Merlin nearly killed all of us.” She replied solemnly.
“I do hope that Silva got out alright.” I said.
“Don’t worry. She can handle a lot worse than Merlin. She’ll be fine.” I heard Compton say. I guess he also wanted to join in on the conversation.
