《The Supernatural Case of an Accidental Time Traveler》Round Table - Part 012

“I really have to start working on those landings. Never can stick them, can I?” Merlin said to himself as he began putting the tools back in the box.
Walking out of the wash room that he was in, Merlin carried the box of tools to the blacksmith outside of the castle and gave him instructions to repair. After the blacksmith agreed and took them off his hands Merlin went back inside the castle where he found Arthur and everyone else having dinner. He apologised for his absence and quickly joined them. The table was unusually quiet.
“I see that everyone here is obviously showing their feelings about what was discussed today.” Merlin said.
“Merlin, unless you have some good news then I suggest you not bring it up.” Arthur said with a callous tone.
“Well, I hope by the morning that I have some good news.” Merlin replied before taking a bite of his food.
The table remained quiet for the rest of the meal as no one really had much to say. Once they had all finished and everyone had excused themselves for the night Morgana received the wine from the kitchen and poured the drug into the cup on her left before taking it to Arthur's room. She waited outside for a moment before knocking on his door.
A second or two passed before Arthur opened the door. Upon seeing her he seemed both relieved and depressed. He let her in without a word and sat on the bed as he waited for her to say something, anything. She walked over to his desk and set the tray holding the cups down.
"I figured you could use a drink." She said as she picked up the two cups full of wine.
"You just wanted to raid the wine cellar didn't you?" He asked jokingly.

"Had I wanted to do that I wouldn't have bothered offering you some." She said as she shook her head.
"Well, thank you then." He said as she handed him the cup with the drug in it.
He took a sip and the two talked and joked for nearly an hour before the drug started to kick into effect. As soon as it did though, Morgana could tell and she began acting on him. The next morning Arthur awoke to the worst headache he had ever felt. On top of that his room was in shambles with clothes strewn everywhere. Looking around he became very confused as he had no memory of what had happened the night before.
As he looked around he saw the blankets beside him begin to move. Stripping them off quickly he saw that Morgana was asleep beside him completely naked. Oh, no, was his first thought. Following an extreme amount of guilt so without bothering to wake her up he got up and got somewhat dressed before going to the washroom. He washed his face as he tried to figure out what would cause him to do such a thing.
Having no memory of the night before didn't help though. Since he was desperate to figure out what happened he wandered back into his room and tried waking up Morgana. Rather than waking up normally she sat up and laid herself against him in a form of lazy hug.
"Please help me up?" She asked.
"Did you hurt yourself or something?" He asked a little confused by her request.
"No, but I liked how you picked me up last night so I figured you would do it again." She said with a smile as she laid against him.
"What, exactly, happened last?" He asked with a concerned tone.

"You don't remember?"
"Not at all. I do have a terrible headache though." He said. Just as he did Merlin burst through the door.
"Good morning!... Oh." He said in an excited tone that quickly turned into concern.
“...” Both Arthur and Morgana stared in shock at the wizard standing in the doorway.
“Did you two do what I think you did?” he asked like a disappointed parent would.
“I don’t know.” Arthur said as he truly couldn’t remember.
“Yes.” Morgana said as Arthur was speaking.
Merlin placed his hand against his forehead and slowly walked out of the room. He looked utterly ashamed and disappointed which neither Arthur nor Morgana had ever seen from him. They both became very concerned for him but at the same time Arthur was still trying to figure out everything that happened so he turned back to Morgana.
“What happened?” he asked.
“We became one last night so that we could be together.” she said.
