《The Supernatural Case of an Accidental Time Traveler》Witch Trials - Part 047

The note read:
Scott,
I hate to tell you this but it seems that your apprentice is in fact the Masked Man. Mordred has taken him into custody. Don’t worry though, I will do what I can to defend him. Elysif and Iscarat are also safe with me.
~Compton
Having read that, Scott knew something was up. It didn’t make sense for Lou to be the Masked Man since he had seen the Masked Man and Lou in the exact same place before. At the same time it made sense that he was the Masked Man. Why else would the Masked Man appear to help them, Lou specifically? Just what was going on? He thought to himself.
Having no other choice in his mind at least he ran to the train station and bought the first ticket to Warwick. He needed to talk to them personally so that he could figure out what the hell was going on. Maybe there was a misunderstanding after they fought Medea? Perhaps, Mordred was just over stressed by the whole issue. Yeah, that had to be it. He thought to himself as he boarded the train.
Once he arrived at Warwick he, albeit sickly, made his way to Warwick Castle. The guards at the door saw him hobbling over to the door and rather than letting him pass they instead blocked his path. Pointing their spears at him, Scott backed up a little and raised his hands up as best he could with the broken arm.
“What’s going on guys? It’s me, Scott Langston.” Scott said questionatively.
“Warwick Castle is on high alert due to a traitor helping the Masked Man kidnap Concil Mordred, Director Compton, and a few others.” One of the guards said.
“What? How?” Scott asked with a surprised tone.

“We aren’t exactly sure.” the other one said.
“Then you need to let me in so that I can help!” Scott demanded.
“We can’t do that!” the first guard said.
“Let him through, men.” Director Langston said as he opened the door. Both guards instantly put their spears up and stood at attention.
“Thank you. What’s going on?” Scott asked as he walked through the doorway and gave the director a semi-hug.
“As you probably just heard, The masked Man kidnapped Mordred and Compton along with your witch friend and Iscarat Put.” Director Langston stated slowly.
“Is it true that my apprentice is the Masked Man?” Scott asked sternly.
“It seems so. He was brought in by Mordred to be put on trial and he was wearing the mask. Merlin put him on trial and during that time a traitor snuck in and helped him kidnap Mordred.” He stated with a deep sigh.
“Who was the traitor?” Scott asked as they entered the main room which had been cleaned up for the most part.
“It seems that it was my daughter, Silva.” He said with an even deeper sigh than before.
“T-that isn’t possible. I watched her die in front of me. There was no way that she is still alive.” Scott said angrily as he grabbed Director Langston's collar. Everyone in the room looked at him and some of them even began to draw their weapons.
“I thought the same thing. However, it seems that she faked her death and has been working for the Masked Man for quite some time. Perhaps, even longer than she has known you.” Director Langston said as he calmly removed Scott’s hands from his collar.
“N-no, it isn’t possible. She wouldn’t lie to me like that…” Scott said as he began to look even more sickly than he did before from the train.

“We have her in custody so I suggest you go and talk to her. You two seem like you have a lot to catch up on.” Director Langston said with a shallow tone.
“Where?” Scott asked in a demanding tone.
Director Langston led Scott down the hallway that held the library until they reached the end in front of them was a room designated for magic prison storage. To the left though was a set of rooms that were all deadbolted and had a literal silver lining in the walls. The Director began undoing the deadbolts on the furthest door from the center room. As soon as he opened the door, Scott stood staring in shock. Despite being told that she was alive he didn’t quite believe it.

Changement : Version Pile [French]
Notice: This story is in French, not in english, mainly because of my poor english. I may translate it later if I get better, and hopefully I will. - Author's note: this story is a concept. During the first chapter, the main character is faced with a major decision, which will change his life forever, and, not knowing what to do, he decide to play heads or tails, and let fate choose for him. And so there will be two versions of this story, one for each of the result, and their consequences for the main character, as well as all those around him. Here, he got tails.
