《The Supernatural Case of an Accidental Time Traveler》Witch Trials - Part 018

"I feel weird. Everyone is taking notice of us." One of the agents said.
"I know Reggie. I don't see why we aren't split up in the shadows." Another one replied.
"Shut up you two. I'm pretty sure that Mordred wouldn't have put agent Langston in charge of us if he was an idiot." Agent Collin said.
Scott took notice of their conversation behind his back as they weren't being very quiet. It never bothered him when people spoke badly about him so he would normally pay it no mind. Right now however, he needed them to follow his instructions or else they would die.
"Reggie, was it?"
"Yes?" The agent answered.
"By being out here we are doing three things. One, the people will get scared of us so they go and hide. We can't fight Medea if we are too busy protecting the people. Second, we are taking Medea's eyes away from Dolfly and his team. We wouldn't want her to know about our backup until it's too late. Lastly, if we split up and she saw us coming then we would be wiped out. We need to stay in a group or else we risk getting picked off."
"I apologise, sir." Reggie replied.
The others around him seemed more tense since he was saying all of this. They knew who Scott was and what he had done. To them, even in the weakened state that he was, he was capable of more than most of them. The fact that he was acting as if Medea could wipe them out that easily sent shivers down their spines.
"The witch girl seems to be going a ways away from Mama Louise's. Are we sure this isn't a trap?" Collin asked.
"Of course we don't know if it's a trap. Medea could be using us as puppets for all we know. All we can do is hope that's not the case." Iscarat replied to Collin's.

"I wasn't asking you, old man!" Collin said.
"He's right. In fact you would be better off listening to what he has to say if you want to live." Scott interjected.
"..."
"But who exactly is he? All we know is that he's some sorcerer that sounds like he has something stuck in his throat." Reggie said to Scott.
"That sorcerer happens to be the dimensional demon sorcerer who nearly beat Mordred and Merlin in combat single handedly because they kept bothering him." Scott replied.
"What? But I thought he was some insanely powerful man. Why are you the only one watching him?" Reggie asked, unable to contain his disbelief.
"He is weaker than at that time since age has gotten to him. He also happens to be fairly docile so long as you leave him alone. However, I need to go check on him every now and then due to the treaty he made with the Agency."
"Yet you still bother me about small matters all the time, you ass." Iscarat said with a snarky tone.
"You know you like it when I visit you lonely bastard."
"I'm not so lonely ever since Mama Louise started warming my bed."
"I don't need to know about your old people sex life." Scott replied adamantly.
The other agents were genuinely confused by Scott's comment since they had just seen Mama Louise and she looked rather young. However, this conversation was not something they wanted to get involved with so they kept their mouths shut.
After saying this Scott noticed Rebeccah turn down a small alleyway. He motioned for the rest of the agents to be quiet as he ran up and peered around the corner. Rebeccah was standing in front of a shabby run down door on the far side of the alley. She knocked on the door once then twice more after a small pause. The door opened up and Rebeccah walked inside.

Scott motioned with his hands for the agents to surround the building. As they started to circle it Iscarat walked across the street and began to chant In an ancient language. He pulled out a candle in which he lit before waving it around like he was drawing something with the smoke. Dolfly saw their movements and motioned for his own people to start forming a barrier.
Scott snuck up to the old wooden door and began looking through the cracks to make sure Medea was in there. Inside the room he could see Rebeccah and several pieces of furniture scattered around in a way that seemed random. Pieces of clothing were also laying everywhere on furniture and even different places on the floor. As he scoured the room for Medea, he finally saw her. The hellish witch herself standing as proud as ever in front of Rebeccah.
She looked to be in her mid twenties with a perfect hourglass figure. Not a single freckle or mole rested on her slim face. Had she not been a psychopath then she could have been a model. She wore a white and purple sundress with a red shawl. Her dark hazel hair was braided back on the sides which led to a long flowing ponytail that reached to her shoulder blades.
Medea was standing within two meters of Rebeccah which was perfect. She could easily fall from their ambush. He looked over at Iscarat who nodded at him so he yelled the release word for the pendant.

How to raise a Hive Queen
This story is about a newborn Hive Queen, which gets raised in an unexpected environment. The first part of the story will focus on her development and the challenges that come with it. Eventually she will start to produce her own swarm of hive creatures. The species of the Hive Queen is called the Sylv and they are a insectoid species with an hive mind. The Sylv can evolve themselves through extracting traits from other non Sylv creatures. This is limited to modify the basic set of creatures the Sylv can produce, they are not able to create completely new creatures. In this regard they are more like ants, who have workers, soldiers and queen ants. The Sylv live underground in so called hive complexes and use living structures in them to produce more of their kind. The Hive Queen is the leader of a Sylv Hive and responsible for evolving the swarm. This novel takes place in a fantasy setting and was inspired by other hive species like the Zerg from "Starcraft" made by Blizzard Entertainment, the Arachnea from "Her majesty's swarm" published on j-novel club, and the Vex from "I don't want to be the Hive Queen" by ValetheHowl. I really enjoy stories with an organic hive mind species and want to contribute myself. The focus and theme of this story will change as the Hive Queen matures and defines the goals she wants to achieve. The key to it all is Valerie, a human bred super-weapon, and the discovery she makes aboard the enemy craft Delirium. What to expect from Edge of the Storm: You will find here a slow burning story that is punctured by moments of high flying action, intense mecha battles, gory hand-to-hand combat, tough decisions and sacrifices. What you won't find are black and white morals, harems, cute girls, big boobs, or anything else that might bring me troves of readers. You have been warned.
