“Bonaparte, what’s wrong?” Elysif asked as he stood there. His expression was that of shock and horror. Unable to move it seemed but he still fell down and scurried back against the wall behind the bar.
“W-who is... that?” he asked before pointing at me.
“That’s just Lou. my lover of sorts.”
“I never agreed to that.” I replied.
“I’m sorry but that man or whatever he is is terrifying.” Bonaparte said as he climbed back off the floor. Grabbing three glasses this time he set them on the counter and shakily poured us some scotch as well as for himself.
“What do you mean terrifying?” Elysif asked.
“You know how I have been studying magic and how it flows. Well I have gained an eye for viewing people's magic flow and his comes off as the universe itself swallowing the room while you seem like a calm green flow.”
“Magic sensing is very hard to do. How could you do it with little to no training?”
“I can’t use magic properly but I have always had a talent for sensing magic. I just didn’t understand magic or its properties at first so I couldn’t sense magic and distinguish it from others. Now that I have that understanding I can easily distinguish people’s magic flow.”
“I see. But why is his terrifying?”
“Like I said it is like the universe swallowing up everything in the room. People who don’t use magic usually barely have any magic flow radiating off them and those who do use it can have it radiate off them like fire engulfing their body. His however has engulfed everything in this room for some reason and I only realized it when I looked directly at him.”
“Well that would make sense since I am a Time Lord. I would have to have a lot of magic for me to do something like time travel.” I said.

“I guess so.”
“A Time Lord?”
“It’s nothing he can use a special magic to travel through time but it has so many setbacks that it is pretty much useless.”
“She’s right. I can’t do anything when I time travel and I can only travel to an era I haven’t been before.”
“Well um… If I remember correctly you wanted information on a werewolf?”
“That’s correct.” Elysif replied before drinking some of the scotch.
“If I remember correctly there was a rumor that the Wiccan college here in London secretly took in a werewolf child after that incident with Scott five years ago. No one wanted that rumor to spread though for obvious reasons so it died as soon as it appeared.”
“The Wiccan college? What’s that?” I said before taking a sip of the scotch
“Are you sure you want to be in a relationship with this dunce Ely? He seems rather daft.” Bonaparte said.
“I can hear you.”
“I don’t remember saying I cared.”
“Boys, shut up.”
“”...””
“The Wiccan college is a university for those who wish to study witchcraft or at least the good side of it. In other words healing and medicine. It is run by a Coven who I would rather not bother.”
“Ely, if it’s about your mother or her Coven then I don’t think they will hold it against you. Your mother broke the rules and disappeared as soon as the Agency appeared. I may not know a lot about the politics of Witches but I don’t think you should worry about it.” Bonaparte said in a caring voice.
“It’s fine. We’ll go and talk to them. I’ll have some opium for you tomorrow.” Elysif said before storming off.
“Wait, opium? Did you just sell someone drugs? Elysif please answer me!” I said as I followed after her. She was obviously not in a good mood anymore. Bonaparte just looked at us as we left with a big smile on his face.

He remembers everything. And that's a problem. As others fight for survival, he remembers how most of them, himself included, should not even deserve to have a second chance. In a strange new world, as he fights his own demons, he is faced with new ones whose names he does not even know. But giving up is not inside his DNA and fight on he must. For to stop is to die, and to die means he failed, failed himself and all those who still desperately need him.***The Author's Note:This is another in the Core series, the first one being The Wardens of Destiny while there is also a side story The Memoires of Eisen that's exclusive on Patreon for those who would like to support me.The Recordings of Raan occurs after the events in The Wardens of Destiny, and it's a separate thread from the main story. Among other things, I separated it into a new book as it has elements of progressive LitRPG and a fantasy-world setting.Since I'll keep on writing The Wardens of Destiny, this will be one of my side-projects. Eventually in the future, I plan to integrate some of the protagonists in this story with the main storyline.
