“I see, and what questions may I answer for you?” Scott asked.
“Why didn’t you call for backup?”
“We weren’t given enough time for backup to arrive after being summoned. We had to make do.”
“I understand however I am still not pleased. Now, do you know where the masked man is or where he came from?”
“I knew you would probably want to know something like that and the answer is I don’t know. I was lying on the ground with several broken bones and severe internal damage. He appeared, defeated the culprit and disappeared over the bridge.”
“I want to visit this bridge and perhaps inspect the body of the culprit.”
“Lou can take you to the bridge however the body is going to be a little harder.”
“How so?”
“We tossed his body into the canal.”
“Why?”
“I didn’t want to have to deal with all the paperwork the police were going to require me to fill out.”
“I thought it was to spare some random person from the sight of a beheaded man on a bridge.” I said.
“No, that was a lie.”
“So you decided to disrespect the dead because you were being lazy?” I asked, a little annoyed.
“Well when you put it like that it makes me sound like a deadbeat.”
“Anyways, I already heard the report from Lou about this whole scene and about how he has learned how to use his ability to travel through time but I would like to hear it from you as well.” Mordred interrupted.
“Of course. Lou would you go down and take Elysif to the pub down the street. I told her I would treat her to dinner but it seems like I am going to be talking with Mordred for a while. There’s enough for you both on the desk.” Scott said.

“Okay, sure.” I said before grabbing the money off the desk and heading down to Elysif’s place.
“Okay, where do you want me to begin?” Scott asked.
“Let’s start with something simple. Can Lou use his ability to stop my father from dying?’
“You sound like that fake masked man.”
“I will not force him, I just want to know if it can be done.”
“I don’t know. He said he can’t use his ability if it affects his current or past self. Since your father dying was the driving force behind making the Agency what it is today and he is now an agent. I would say no, but you can ask him yourself.”
“That was all I needed to hear. I was hoping that you would have said yes but I will ask him personally and see whether I can have some hope.”
“I am sorry. Would you like some tea?” Scott said standing up.
“That sounds wonderful. Would you like any help?”
“It would be much appreciated, and we can continue his chat.”
“Now, what is your official report?” she said grabbing the kettle, filling it with water, and setting it on the stove.
“Some women were murdered. Lou got captured and tortured for several weeks. Nothing happened during that time otherwise. Then Lou showed up here nearly nude and showed us how he could reform his limbs. He went to the future, came back, and we attempted to stop the changeling serial killer. We failed. Two more people were murdered. We were challenged by someone claiming to be the masked man. Fought him. Got our asses handed to us and the real masked man beheaded him. I was severely injured and everyone else left without a scratch.”

“That is rather vague.”
“It is my official report.” he said with a smug grin.

{The Dragon Within} (Completed)
Meeting his fate at the hands of seven great heroes, the wicked drake now stands in Death's hall. Met with the Grim Reaper itself. Defeated and its pride broken, the drake doesn’t beg or grovel, it simply awaits judgement. It waits for the God of the afterlife to send it on its way, to either the heights of bliss and peace or where it knew it would be sent. The depths of agony and torture, the halls of Tartarus, the father of monsters. Grim looked up from its oaken desk and down at the creature that would have otherwise, if grown wiser and older, matched the reaper itself in power. Its faceless guise, hidden by a black hood and whirling shadows, it briefly stared at the drake. “You are unfit for the sky yet also too fit for the abyss,” Grim spoke, its voice a cracking whisper. “Your time came too soon, the actions you have taken will lead your world to ruin…Be reborn, pitiful serpent. Yet remember what you have done, see what your actions have made that realm into. Let me show you, how your greed and gluttony have warped such a wonderful place and time.” Grim raised its black-feathered pen towards the beast “Be reborn, as the weak pitiful creature you should have been born as. Take this both as a punishment and…a learning experience. For failure, can be the best teacher.” The drake took a step back, hoping to escape this cruel fate. Yet none escaped Death, less so its embodiment. Screaming shadows engulfed his form, ripping away at his body and shape. Fangs of darkness sinking deep into his draconic flesh, warping it, changing him into something else… Opening his eyes, the wicked drake felt none of its power, none of its magic and none of its might. As it stood at the edge of a cliff, looking down upon a ruined valley of rot and miasma. It glanced down at itself, seeing none of its sturdy scales or sharp claws. The drake had been reborn... As a Human. Will also be posting on CreativeNovels found here; CrN Where chapters will be posted earlier than RRL.
