《Divine Empress of Chaos》Chapter 8

He looked toward his family treasure, his human Yu Liang, with a lovely gaze. A sense of satisfaction tingled through him as he saw the pleased look on her dainty face. If his underlings saw him like this, they would have suspected some unknown entity had taken possession of his body, but then again, who in the world was strong enough to go against their lord?
“As long as I’m here to shelter you, come heaven or hell, you have nothing to worry about,” Huo Wei Huo declared with conviction.
A warm fuzzy feeling spread through her, slowly healing her weary soul. She took a moment to recollect her disarray thoughts. Her heart was greatly unsettled over the potential danger if they don’t escape from this formation soon. Her hands clutched his lapels tightly as her mind deliberated over their precarious situation. Her small subconscious action earned her a charming grin from the legendary fire nine-tailed fox.
She now understood the third trial required them to escape from the celestial triangular formation. Illusions of luxurious natural habitats were generated to ensnare those who failed to have a firm grip on their destiny, as their hearts easily wavered. Those with stronger will were left for the komainus to handle; enormous, magical lion dogs specialized in shape-shifting to appeal to the victims through illusions, before leaving their prey as nothing more than bones and skeletons.
They arrived on the mountains, entering a small rift. Two familiar figures could be seen from the distance. One of them looked eerily identical to her features and built. The impostor had her arms wrapped around a young boy; her sharp-edge fangs glinted with a silver light as she prepared to finish her subdued victim.
Huo Wei Hu gently placed her down, before he stealthily advanced toward the two. He was lithe and graceful-light as feathers on his feet. In one sleek movement, he procured Yu Tian’s fragile body, and engulfed the impostor in a blaze of fox-fire.
The impostor, with the same face as Yu Liang, howled in misery as she resumed back to her green-scaled komainu form. His fox-fire weren’t normal flames. They had a life of their own as the flames took on the will of their master and brutally incinerated the enemies. Without their master’s decree, nothing could extinguish the wild fire.
Without further delay, he lifted both her and Yu Liang as he quickly sprinted away. They were stuck in a dimension of endless illusions. The mountains suddenly changed to a desert, the tranquil sea became a violent storm with angry waves, and as they passed the forest, the splendid greenery abruptly transitioned into the edge of a hazardous cliff.

Throughout the whole process, Yu Liang heart was racing non-stop. Yet, Huo Wei Hu remained composed. His formidable figure never lost its composure, as his footwork appeared to be dancing to some exotic choreography, with nine majestic fox tails fluttering behind him in the wind. Her greedy eyes eagerly swallowed the captivating scene, as she appreciated his every rhythmic movements.
At long last, the landscape stopped altering and the familiar shape of Guardian Cao appeared. As they walked out of the formation, with both siblings securely locked in Huo Wei Hu’s grasp, a surprised look flickered across Cao’s eyes before restoring its tranquility. The guardian gave him a respectful smile, which was ignored by Huo Wei Hu as he set down the two of them.
As her feet touched solid ground, Yu Liang immediately checked on her brother. His complexion was pale as he scrutinized her intensively with labored breathing. As if he had finally confirmed the woman before him was indeed his sister, the terror in his eyes dissolved and beans of teardrops spiraled down his round cheeks.
She gently comforted him, alleviating his stress as much as possible. Seeing his weak body, she took out his share of ambrosial lotus bun she had previous hidden away and gently fed him it. She watched the miraculous food quickly worked its magic at a speed visible to the naked eyes. The colors had returned to his cheeks and his vitality revived.
Yu Liang shifted her attention to Huo Wei Hu. Her eyes deep as the ocean glittered with boundless gratitude. She knew very well that without his assistance, Yu Tian and her would had both became lost souls trapped forever inside a formation neither of them could dispel.
Their fellow contestants began to pour out of the formation; Da Niu was one of the survivors. A quick head count resulted in an estimate of no more than a hundred of them left; all of them possessed a will strong enough to escape from the celestial triangular formation.
A deep sigh escaped Yu Liang. Five hundred of them had entered and more than four hundred of them had perished within three trials. Would they even make it to the top?
A warm, calloused hand covered hers, pulling her out of her forlorn thoughts. His confident smile and arrogance assured her as long as he was around, there was no need for her to entertain such pessimistic ideas.
Guardian Cao activated the transportation seal and all the remaining contestants walked toward the glowing light, ready to face their fourth trial.

As the bright beam of light evaporated, all of them were surrounded by countless locked doors. Every one of them were alert, cautiously speculating what was behind the closed doors, but to no avail. An immeasurable force of pressure knocked all of them backward into random rooms, before the doors automatically locked itself.
Her body was held tightly by a strong pair of arms, preventing any collision damage from the knock-back. Yu Liang and Huo Wei Hu had ended up locked together in the same room. A strange fragrance was released into the air. Huo Wei Hu’s expression turned thunderous.
“Forbidden heavenly powder of euphoria!” He grunted, his speech laced with an unsteady undertone.
Yu Liang felt as if her entire body was on fire. Intolerable heat surged from deep within her. The air around her felt much too hot and she hastily started peeling off the layers of her garments. A solid hand stopped her action, but the skin contact made her even more feverish.
Throwing decorum and propriety to the wind, she tightly clutched onto him as her soft body pressed tightly against his. A low hiss was heard, before he bent his head down and captured her greedy lips. Powerful tongue parted her teeth as he lasciviously devoured her.
He tasted like wicked heaven- devilish and sinful. His possessive tongue danced around hers, entangling incessantly as she erupted into a sea of endless flames.
Strong hands held her tightly, locked in an amorous embrace. His heat seeped through her clothes, as another fire ignited within her. Her wanton hands sneaked under his hanfu, feeling the strong, muscular bare chest as she eagerly explored his body.
Her touch had awaken a caged beast in deep slumber. He pinned her down firmly, eyes misted with lust as he hungrily kissed her exposed slender neck and fair skin. His aggression elicited a soft moan from her silky lips. He shuddered violently. Her moans evoked his need to dominate, to conquer and to possess the very fiber of her soul.
Yu Liang gazed at him through hazy eyes. She could tell he was trying to control himself, but she doesn’t want his control. She needed to be dominated by his beast, desired to be conquered by the demonic man, and wanted nothing more than to be possessed by Huo Wei Hu completely, in every way possible.
As if he had read her inner lewd thoughts, a low growl escaped his throat.
His hands gently caressed her smooth skin as he removed her garments. All reasoning were lost as he laid his eyes upon the feast. She urged him with a provocative smile, flirtatious in its nature. He groped her beautiful breasts, stroking over her milky skin as her ample breasts fitted perfectly in his palms. Soft, velvet tongue encircled her nipples as she released another string of moans, sounds she hadn’t realized she was even capable of producing.
Her pinkish pearl toes curled in delightful pleasure as his hand fondled her. He sucked relentlessly on her nipples and his other hand roamed over her delicate curves. Her hands tightly clenched his luxurious hair, silently begging for what, she wasn’t sure. She only knew that her insatiable body demanded more.
Yu Liang restlessly touched as much of his exposed skin as possible. One of his large hands squeezed her breast as the other cupped her round curves from behind. Her legs were straddling his robust thighs. He gently blew a husky breath in her ear, stimulating all her senses, as her body came alive.
His breath brushed gently on her skin and a naughty tongue began to slowly trail down her naval. Hot kisses were planted along her exposed thighs before he gradually pried them apart. His eyes glazed over as if he was highly intoxicated.
Huo Wei Hu lightly rubbed her sensitive buds, before dipping his head to taste her forbidden fruits. He had a voracious appetite, and she was the only dessert he desired. She tasted heavenly! Her nectar so sweet, his blood plumped in pure rapture.
He diligently learned her body through every touch and reaction, as anticipation filled her smoky eyes.
She yearned for his burning caress, his potent kiss and for him to quench the vigorous passion he had evoked. She was impatient, unable to handle the burning itch of unfilled desire until he finally rewarded her with delay gratification as he brought her to the edge of ecstasy.
She soared in blissful pleasure as she reached paradise before a stream of exuberance energy dispersed throughout her body. He engraved every one of her expressions and sounds deeply in his heart.
Her body of temptation beckoned him as his endurance reached max, but he refused to fully claim her, not until he had given her a proper wedding.
She was absolutely beautiful! His Yu Liang, his woman and his future empress.

The Cosmic Interloper
Synopsis: A cyborg transhuman escapes her corporate indenture and through unfathomably unlikely circumstances, she ends up in a fantasy world of full of unique magic, angry people with sharp implements, and the whole flavor-spectrum of divine entities. Hilarity ensues. Features: - No blue boxes or cultivation, this is not a LitRPG nor about martial arts - Hard-ish Sci-Fi meets hard-ish magic - Generally trying to keep this "rational" Rationale: My primary goal with The Cosmic Interloper is to write something that I myself would enjoy reading. Of course, that’s not the only motivation, but I think it’s the most important one for me to keep in mind, especially as the author. In fact, this whole story came about because after consuming oodles of fiction, I found myself craving a very specific type of story which I couldn’t find many examples of. Then I asked myself, “why not write it myself?” and here we are. Disclaimer: In general, while I’m not writing a comedy, I do intend for this story to be funny and a bit wacky or absurd. That said though, I am using this story as a vehicle to explore some potentially dark topics including (but not limited to) slavery, speciesism/racism, and existential questions of self, consciousness, and identity. Still, I’m going to leave the “traumatizing content” tags off, because I don’t feel that what I’ve written so far (or plan on writing) exceeds the threshold that would be necessary for me to tag it thusly. Also, [insert your favorite boilerplate “views expressed” disclaimer here]. I shouldn’t need to say this, but the main character can be wrong on occasion (gasp!) and the way she views the world is not the objective truth (if such a thing even exists).
