《History of the Orcs According to, The Beginning: Breath Of War》History of the Orcs - End of the Red Lands

The Battle of Salaquin, considered to be the greatest and bloodiest of all the battles to occur within the Red Lands, destroyed much of the Redling's strength in the region. Enough so that the Orisich armies had time to not only re-build their numbers, but were also able to consolidate their positions within the Red lands. The Orcish Warlords gathered together reinforcements for their Warhordes, cleansed their armies of weaklings, and replenished their badly depleted ranks. They then tore down the walls of Salaquin and ravaged the surrounding towns and villages, before breaking apart to each go their separate ways once more. All of them determined to win glory and honor for Lord Sezrath.
Grozak, however chose to stay behind along with a single Warhorde to begin his preparations for the lands beyond the Red Wasteland, where the Centaurs and Dwarves lived. The Centaurs having lost many of their warriors at the Battle of Salaquin were keen to avenge their losses, and bring down retribution on those that had dared to slay their favored son Faldrene. Centaurs fast moving creatures, that could fire arrows, while moving could prove a deadly threat to the slow footed Orc warriors. To ensure the Horselords never returned to the Red lands, Grozak using the power of Lord Sezrath molded a fortress out of very land itself to guard the borders with grand bastions, and a wall that stood eight hundred feet high. Cutting off the Redlings from their allies in plains.
It is with these Iron Skins at the head of their Warhordes, that the Orcs under Grozak's leadership were able to make short work of the remaining Cities, crushing one after the other with relative ease. Storming each City to slaughter it's inhabitants and enslave it's people. And each time this would give rise to more and more Iron Skins. Giving them even greater power.

And while the humans tried several times to mobilise an army to defeat them in the battle, they simply were no match for the Iron Skins, who barely felt their weapons touch them. For nothing could stop an Iron Skin charge, that had the power to punch right through an enemy army within a matter of seconds. These defeats and the death of Lord Tagrian, who eventually succumbed to his wounds, would mean the end for the Red lands. Forcing the rapidly dwindling human population to try and flee, seeking sanctuary with the Centaurs.
Years passed by in the Red Lands and the Warhordes remained, hunting down survivors, building roads made from the skulls of their enemies, and constructing additional fortresses to hold their new lands. By the time the Warhordes were on the move once more, they had grown considerably in size and number, with dozens of new clans being born in the hostile wasteland to create new Warhordes.
