《Old Cultivation Record》Chapter 64 - See The Light

“What the fuck is a sin-eater?” Taylor asks, feeling some impatience and dissatisfaction. Why can't I fight these guys? There's no way these guys are doing something that would stop me from killing them. He wonders, feeling uncomfortable. In Taylor's opinion, all men are trash. If I'm trash, there's no way you aren't trash. He thinks, summing up his feelings.
“We eat sin. Or I guess the possibility of sin. All the sins that a person would commit or would likely commit, we eat the emotions at their source and let people continue living their lives in peace.” The man explains.
“And why the fuck would you do that? Just let people enjoy themselves. What’s wrong with that?” Taylor asks with a raised eyebrow.
The man smiles, and Taylor creases his brows. That was the look of a man who had gotten away with something.
“I’ll be honest with you. It tastes fucking good. All the emotions involved that were leading them to that sin… We gobble that shit up and release it into our minds for us to experience ourselves. Depending on the sin… It could be the tastiest shit you’ve ever had in your life…” The man says, his eyes glazing over a little as he becomes lost in his reminiscing.
Taylor’s eyes open wide in shock. “You bastards. That’s stealing. Why would you rob people like that?” He asks, feeling some anger and jealousy.
The man shrugs, clearly not remorseful for the fact. “The world needs people like us. Sometimes people aren’t willing to pay the price for that sin, so the world directs us to eat away the emotional fuel. And of course, we get off on it.” The man says with a straight face, without shame.
Taylor raises a hand, intending to scold these cruel bastards before lowering it and considering the matter. “So is it like a special ability? A dao? Or is it like a technique? Something you can learn?” He asks one after another, clearly expressing his interests.

The man smirks. “It’s a technique.” He says, watching as the light in Taylor’s eyes brighten. “Tell you what. You let us stay here and you can have the technique free of charge. I’m sure you know the worth of this technique. You’re basically robbing me.” He says, confident that Taylor would agree.
Taylor scowls. “Says the thief.” He says, taking a moment to mourn the fools who were robbed.
The man smiles, amused. “Do you want it or not?” He asks, taunting Taylor with his expression.
“What do you think? Give it to me before my friends show up. And let’s keep this on the down-low, okay?” Taylor says with the look of a man who was about to get away with something.
The man laughs. “I knew you would see the light, my friend.” He says, finding comfort in seeing that both their interests were similar in this regard.
