《Old Cultivation Record》Chapter 45 - Had it in Him

“He's staying at the Hotflow Inn. There are three servants with him, who we assume are thralls. For now, just keep guard and wait for the call. Also, be prepared to follow if he moves out again. The second team is on standby, so we'll be covered for anything unexpected.” The scout says, explaining the situation.
…
…
“Hello?” The vampire says, answering a phone call. “Is it time? Just do it? Alright, we'll move in now. Yeah. Yeah. Bye.” He says before hanging up. He dials the other vampire who was standing guard. “Hey. It's time. Go get Taylor and we'll move in together. I'll call the crowman to let him know. Yep. Yeah. Alright. See ya.” The Vampire Viscount hangs up again before calling the crowman.
…
…
Taylor sat on the bed in the motel. He's been watching tv this whole time, bored out of his mind. The vampires didn't let him stand guard because he wasn't sneaky enough.
But watching tv was probably harder for Taylor than waiting in the shadows. In the back of his head, his focus was still there and his rage was still seething. The tiger was just crouching, waiting to pounce.
**KNOCK**
**KNOCK**
“Yeah, just a moment.” Taylor says, moving to open the door.
The Vampire Baron was outside. “It's time.” He says after seeing Taylor's face.
“Alright.” Taylor says, before doing a quick check of his pockets. “Yep. Let's go.” He says, moving out the door.
…
…
“Support has already put everyone else in the hotel to sleep. Just make sure not to kill any bystanders. We're just going to walk into his room with the key. Let's not get fancy today.” The Vampire Earl says, taking the lead.
“Whatever. Let's go.” Taylor says getting impatient.

“And you, specifically, need to cool your shit before we go in there. I'm going to take him on first and you two will stand back and look for an opportunity. Try not to get taken hostage, because I won't give two shits if either of you die.” The Vampire Viscount explains seriously.
“Alright. I'm good.” Taylor says, still wanting to hurry things along.
…
…
The Vampire Viscount unlocks the door and opens it in one swift motion.
There is immediately movement in the room and the Vampire Viscount pounces inside to meet the target.
Taylor follows instinctively and enters second, while the Vampire Baron waits to follow.
When Taylor enters the room, the target had just avoided a blow and had moved in front of Taylor's path. The target was wary of the new intruder but continues in his motion after seeing it was a third stage cultivator. That was practically a whole stage below him, so the target immediately made a move to take care of Taylor first, before things got too messy.
Taylor immediately activates his movement technique, the Shrink Step. This technique shortened the actual distance between two places through a perception trick. It was a technique under the dao of space, but it was merely a trick, and a hint of the whole dao. If Taylor ever wanted to walk this path, it would take more than this small understanding.
Taylor takes a small step and arrives just outside of the target's attack. A black arrow passes through the place Taylor stood and pierces through the ground before continuing to the lower floors.
Taylor activates his technique again and moves within striking distance of the target. He then activates the Flame Fist Resolution. Taylor had cultivated all three stages of this technique and his fist now resembled a meteor moving through the Earth’s atmosphere. His fist crackled and turned red from the extremely high heat as it shuttled towards the target's face. As his fist became closer to the target, his cultivation technique instantly recognized what it was facing and added fuel to the fire; flashes of white appeared over his fist before engulfing the burning heat within as the fist closed in on the target.

There was a chance for the target to avoid this, but after seeing the Flame Fist Resolution, he gave a look of disdain and prepared a counter. But when the white glow appeared on Taylor’s fist, he instantly understood that he could not take this blow. But it was already too late, the fist had arrived, landing on his face.
Taylor's cultivation technique immediately took over with assistance from the Flame Fist Resolution; his fist, engulfed by Taylor's essence and his sense of self, immediately rejected the vampire after making contact with him. An explosion of white light appeared and when everyone recovered from the blindness, the target’s upper half of his body was gone while the rest lied motionless on the floor.
“Fuck.” The Vampire Viscount exclaims. He didn't know that Taylor had it in him.
