《Old Cultivation Record》Chapter 13 – Heated Argument

“No one's home,” Sylvie says as she sits on her bed. “We can do whatever we want,” She says with a mischievous grin.
“Yeah,” Taylor says as he scratches the back of his head. “There's something I wanted to talk to you about…” Taylor begins to say, before deciding to sit next to Sylvie.
“What? Is there something wrong?” She asks with a look of frantic worry. Did he find out? Sylvie asks herself, nervousness building in her body.
Taylor looks to Sylvie before deciding to just let it out. “I'm going,” He says simply.
“What?” Sylvie asks in bewilderment. “Where are you going?”
“I'm leaving the city; not sure where yet,” Taylor says before looking to the wall.
“Is that what you wanted to tell me?” Sylvie asks, finding mild relief.
“Yeah,” Taylor replies absent-mindedly. “I'm not sure if we can continue this relationship,” He says before looking back to Sylvie.
Sylvie smiles bitterly. “There's actually something I have to say too,” Sylvie says, reaching out for Taylor's hands.
Taylor receives her hands and holds on tight. “What is it?” He asks.
“I'm leaving too,” She says with a tinge of red on her face. “I've been accepted to a college on the east coast. I'll be leaving in a few weeks.” Sylvie says, her heartbeat racing as she relieved herself of her secret.
“What!?” Taylor suddenly exclaims, letting go of her hands. “You're leaving? Since when?” Taylor asks, some anger in his voice. He didn't know why, but his blood just started boiling.
Sylvie's eyes widen in surprise before they turn into a sharp glare. “Why are you getting so mad!?” She asks, snapping back. “You're also leaving! How long have you been hiding it from me, huh? You're always keeping things from me! And drinking with your friends instead of keeping me company!” She says sharply, on the cusp of letting out all her complaints into verbal abuse.

Throughout their relationship, they have yet to argue, but now that they were separating, all of their built up frustrations began to release, and the pair proceeded to berate each other for each other's flaws.
After a heated argument, Taylor finally couldn't take it anymore. “Fuck it,” He says before grabbing onto Sylvie's waist and giving her a deep kiss.
Sylvie struggled a bit, still in the mood to argue, before she immersed herself in the moment.
Kissing led to the exploration of their hands until even the kisses began to wander to better kept secrets.
As Sylvie's body became more sensitive and her feelings became more vulnerable, she couldn't help but say, “Asshole! You better not leave me!”

Void Breaker
Note: Sadly, this story is currently on hiatus :( Elizabeth Sayler had lost everything in the bombing of Reaver Stadium. Her career, her fame, her power — all of it vanished the moment she lost use of her legs. Now, she's beginning to lose hope of ever healing herself… until her world integrates into the Void. When the apocalypse comes in a flurry of System messages, everyone on earth is given a choice: give up what they value most in themselves, and acquire a path to their heart’s greatest desire. Most would hesitate, but for Liz? She has nothing to lose, and absolutely everything to gain. Armed with newfound powers in a world teeming with monsters, she’s determined to not only survive, but to somehow break the Void’s endless assault. * * * This is a small note about the portrayal of disability in this story. As much research as I do and as many people as I ask, I will in the end only be able to understand a small portion of paraplegia and similar disabilities. Therefore, if there is anything particularly disrespectful, please do not hesitate to contact me. I always intended to portray disability in a respectful way in this story, but please know that Liz as a character does not start out with a healthy view of disability. This is intentional, and a large part of her character development comes from this view changing as she learns. Disability is not something she simply "discards" at the beginning of the story, but an ongoing theme and a part of her journey.

Epoch: An NPC's Tale
Epoch is a slow-burn LitRPG/Gamelit novel that tells the story of Luke, later named Lucius—a natural inhabitant of the game-like realm of Elyssia where thousands upon thousands of detached, virtually unkillable entities known as the Players were suddenly introduced right after the dusk of the magnificent Age of Heroes. Shortly after the Players arrived, the balance of power in Elyssia instantly shifted. Kingdoms fell, wars were waged, alliances between races were made, and Lucius, after ten years of training in captivity, found himself being used as a pawn in a prophecy that he had no intention to fulfill. With aspirations and desires of his own, Lucius must find a way to cautiously adapt to the drastic changes in the very foundations of the realm after being sent 300 years into a future that was forever altered by the outcome of the war that his captors had lost and the Players won in a victory that resounded throughout the ages, all for a terrible price. Author's Note As an avid fan of the LitRPG genre myself, I wrote this novel with character progression, heavy Gamelit elements, and some degree of world-building in mind. If you like these, please feel free to give this novel a try. Oh, and the MC is also an NPC, in a sense. And wait, isn't this also an isekai story? Well, it's all a bit complicated to explain here. Maybe you should start reading now?
