So this concludes the prologue of the tale.

I had originally began writing this story mainly on a whim, as an experiment of sorts. I wanted to see how far an isekai story could go without turning to the usual crutches afforded to the protagonist such as overpowered abilities, battle waifus, in-universe knowledge and so on. I also wanted to create a more grounded world, which made few concessions to the protagonist.

I do not know how successful this experiment has been, only you the readers who have chosen to inflict this piece of atrocity on yourselves would be able to tell me that. What I have realized though is that it has made plotting the story more difficult than normal. The protagonist's weakness makes what would otherwise be trivial challenges in another tale become incredibly difficult.

The prologue also ran longer than I would have liked, mainly because the world kept growing as I wrote. The nature of the characters changed heavily from my original vision, particularly The Voice, who was originally conceived as more fumbling and lighthearted. This means that the original plot had to be changed.

Updates will slow from this point on as I plot out what comes next, but I will keep updating on a weekly basis as the story develops.
