Having returned to their research offices after visiting Anaelle and Marielle, Kylian and Viviane met up with Moyenne, who reappeared while they were away. A happy Moyenne greeted her colleague and roommate.

“Hi, Viviane! Let me guess, I missed out on visiting Anaelle and Marielle with you?”

“I couldn’t find you!” replied Viviane, “But I asked Kylian to come with me instead.”

Moyenne raised an eyebrow. This juicy news needed further exploration. “Ooooooo! Maybe it was a good thing for me not to come along this time. Was it like a date?”

Viviane scoffed at Moyenne’s suggestion that Kylian and her had gone on a date. “It was nothing of the sort!”

“Boring!” Moyenne did not hesitate to express her disappointment.

Kylian, not liking the direction the conversation was going, tried to change the subject before too many embarrassing details about him were revealed. “Say, Viviane, I never got a chance to ask you, but why do you like those two girls so much?”

“I know why!” Moyenne blurted out. She was eager to spill another secret about Viviane.

“Oh, be quiet Moyenne!” scolded Viviane. Realizing that Kylian was going to find out one way or another, she turned to Kylian and decided to answer his question herself. “One day, Dr. Renard brought his twin daughters to the office with him because he couldn’t find anyone else to watch them for the afternoon. He asked Moyenne and me to babysit for a day.”

“It was fun instead of work.” Moyenne smiled remembering that day. “Those two are such a riot! They do everything the same.”

Viviane continued to explain, “Anyway, it was then that I learned that their mother passed away when they were not yet three years old and they don’t remember anything about her. I felt bad for them thinking that they had grown up all these years without a mother, because for me, too, I had grown up not knowing my real mother nor my father. Somehow, I felt a strong connection with them.”

Moyenne could not contain herself, reliving the story Viviane told to Kylain. She squealed, “And that’s when they asked Viviane to be their ‘Fairy Godmother.’ Ohmigod! Isn’t that TOO cute?”

Moyenne had embarrassed Viviane again! But Viviane continued on explaining. “I don’t know why I said ‘yes’, but I just couldn’t say no to them. So now, I’m their ‘Fairy Godmother’, I guess.” Viviane gave a sheepish grin.

Perhaps Viviane thought that Fairy Godmothers were too childish to believe in, or perhaps she thought that Fairy Godmothers should have magical powers which she did not have any. Or perhaps she thought that being a fairy was just too silly to imagine. Whatever her reasons, Viviane now added “fairy” to her list of titles, “Physicist” and “fashion model” being the other two.

Kylian tried to imagine Viviane dressed up as a fairy, but his imaginary fairy was not the typical, fantasy, woodland type. Instead, his version was the sexy Halloween kind of fairy! He felt guilty just imagining Viviane like that, so he stopped himself right away before his thoughts turned naughty.

Distracted by the image in his head and in typical manner for Kylian, he had only one profound thing to say after learning about the relationship between Viviane and the twin girls.
