“Max! What the hell? What is wrong with the geode room?”

“Look, Chris didn’t want me to tell you, but that’s the room that was supposed to have been taken out of the list. They wanted the dude to take a crystal off the geode and give it to them.”

“The dude has a crystal.”

“The dude has a crystal. I was trying to get them to press the button, and they broke off a crystal and shoved it into their mouth! I thought it was just kinda weird!”

“We have to get it back. Erm, say- say it’s poison or something. Say it’s full of arsenic. I don’t know.”

“Like they’ll believe me! They’re working with Them for crying out loud!”

“Well, what proof do They have of anything?! It’s their word against ours, and we’re the ones in control of the rooms!”

“What seems to be the problem?”

“Chris, you moron, why didn’t you tell me about the geode room?!”

“I told you we should tell Alex! Now the dude has a crystal!”

“That… is not good.”

“Nope!”

“No! It isn’t!”

“Perhaps if we give the subject enough food rooms-“

“The dude’s had a gold coin in their mouth since yesterday, I don’t think they’re going to forget about the crystal.”

“Alex, go back to your office, I’ll think of something.”

“Like what?”

“I don’t know yet. Something. I’ll figure it out.”

“Well you’d better figure it out soon.”

“Thank you, Max, I was unaware of the urgency of the situation.”

“Back to my office, here I go, like everything is normal…”

You’re… looking at the crystal. It’s kinda pretty. Not as pretty as the coin. It’s sort of see-through purplish blue? It’s a basic five sided crystal shape. Two inches long. Honestly, you could pick up one that looks exactly the same at any gift shop in the midwest. They’re not all that unique.

Also, this one has slobber all over it. That’s kinda gross, right? You should just leave it, get a prettier one once you-
