Ding.
The temperature in the room is back to what it had been before you fiddled with it.
Now, there’s a music stand next to you, in which sits a sheet of music and a violin.

Oh, and a bow for the violin, too.
You smile. What fun!
You pick up the violin and hold it properly, placing the bow on the strings. You look at the sheet of music and see the title is “Hall of the Mountain King”.
Cool, a classic. It’s a bit repetitive, sure, but that’s fine.
You look at the notes, get your fingers in place, and start playing.
Hey, you’re pretty good! I never would have guessed that you’d actually be good at something!
You completely ignore me, focusing on the music. This is fun. You enjoy this.
Finally you reach the end. You can’t hear it, but I’m clapping. You did a good job.
You take a bow.
And then, since you might as well, you start playing another song. One of the songs you’ve played a thousand times; one of the songs you know by heart.
It’s super cool! Well done! I might be recording it, to put on my Instagram!
You reach the end and, out of curiosity, turn the paper over. On the other side is a sheet of music titled “Sonata for Viola four hands and harpsichord, by PDQ Bach”.
...wait.
No, that can’t be right. You can’t play a viola with four hands. Can you?
You look over the music.
Huh. Apparently you can. Who knew.
Of course, you can’t play this, because it would require another person.
Oh well. You’ll keep it in mind, though, in case you ever have a friend nearby to help.
Yeah, no, you don’t know how to play that thing.

Still, you’ve kinda always wanted to learn, and it’s just sitting there.
You pick it up. There’s a chin thing, which you stick under your chin. Very professional.
Then you pick up the bow. You put it on the strings, and-

...testing. Testing. Test- Oh! It finally works again!
Finally!
So, how’d you like your two hours cut off from me, hmm?
What did you do? How much more did you play the violin?
You know what, I don’t even care.
Just, get out of this room. Please. Before you break it again.
You set the violin and bow down again.
That was fun. You enjoyed your time here.

Demons Don't Lie
Algier, average human and recent convict, has committed the gravest sin of all: demon slaying. His fate? To participate in the Culling, a battle-royale style tournament that’s televised live to the world, where all the worst criminals go to die. As with all tournaments, a prize is on the line. If Algier survives, he can have any wish granted by the Marquises, the new rulers of Earth following the demons’ invasion. However, there’s little hope for survival in a tournament designed to have demons do the work of the executioner, especially for a human. Demons are stronger, faster, wiser, and more talented than the average human, and, despite his crime, Algier is no demon hunter. Mentally defeated before the tournament even begins, Algier is torn between becoming another demon’s points and fighting on in his dead mother’s legacy. But should he choose to fight, there is one advantage that Algier has that can tip the odds in his favour: Demons don’t lie, but humans can. How to read this story Demons Don't Lie is written from the perspective of an unreliable (lying) narrator. There are many inconsistencies within the story which are placed there intentionally. It's up to the reader to decide what is the truth and what is the lie. Promotion Full quality cover image

The Girl Named Rino
Oh. Hello. I didn't see you come in. No, don't worry. I don't need to hear your name. I already know what it is. I also knew that you'd come up at around this time. But, at the same time, I also didn't know. It's very hard to put into words - but that's what happens when you become the Chaos God. Your psyche gets messed up, big time. That's even more so for me, who was already warped enough to confuse reality with imagination - and, even make the rest of the universe believe that it was so. But, enough about me. Let's talk about you. You seem to come from a very far away land. It's faint, but your presence is there - in a relatively primitive planet. No wonder, no one wanted to stay in, or conquer your region of the universe - there's nothing worth controlling there. Your existence, much like your entire solar system, also seems to be pretty insignificant. Tell me, is your race capable of destroying your own world? Oh, you're already well along the way? Global Warming? Pollution? Overpopulation? Nuclear weapons? Wow... it's been many millenia since I'd last heard of such ancient concepts from someone who is actually living through it. Still, good job getting that far. That means that your world is now, at least, worth considering as a possible place to install a World System. If I find the time, I'll try surveying it. You can just thank me, later. Oh wait! What kind of person am I, not even offering my guest any hospitality. I'm ashamed. Please, take a seat. What would you like? I have everything the multiverse has to offer, whatever it is you want - I can get. Ah! After we talk, would you mind, if I asked you to do me a tiny favor? There's this girl, I want to keep tabs on. She's in one of the Worlds that I preside over, it's called Aiarthe. But, for some reason, I can't see her - not directly, at least. All I need you to do, is check up on her from time to time. Whether you do it as a pure spectator or through someone else's eyes, is entirely up to you. Really!? You would!? Wow! Thanks! You really did me, a huge solid there! For agreeing so quickly, how about I get started on surveying that planet of yours, right now!? You can help yourself, to anything in the fridge! Well, see ya!

Magicat
Our main character (a cat) adventures with his friends and encounters many situations.Author's Note:Hello. This is my first story. Though I hesitate to call it such. It is supposed to be relatively relaxed for the most part. Any constructive criticism is welcome. My updates will be slower than a snail and my chapters are relatively short so deal with it please and don't murder me. Romance should come in later. Thank you~
