Ding.
The leaves are gone. This time, the walls are covered in posters.
What kind of posters, you ask?
Well, let me take a closer look, and…
Huh.
I’m not quite sure I can put that on here.
Hmmmmm give me a moment…
Ok, so this should be fine…
No, don’t think it would be...
I think just giving you this shouldn’t get me in trouble… https://9gag.com/gag/aNg2PdK
Hmm? Oh, go ahead, at this point you and what you’re doing are the least interesting things in the room.
Huh. Yeah, I’m not- I don’t think I can offer you any detailed descriptions here.
(Reads rules of the writeathon.)
Yeah, sorry dude, I can’t really describe the pictures. I mean, it’s not that they’re straight-up NSFW pictures, buuuut they aren’t exactly “family friendly” either…
Hmm? Oh, go ahead, at this point you and what you’re doing are the least interesting things in the room.
So, what we have here is a bunch of posters of…

Baby animals.
All kinds of them. Plenty of adorable pictures. https://www.boredpanda.com/cutest-baby-animals/?utm_source=google&utm_medium=organic&utm_campaign=organic
Go ahead, look around, decide which one is the cutest. Try to find a way of saving the most adorable ones forever.
Yep. They are indeed posters.
The posters have people in them. Some posters have cute animals in them.
Most of the posters aren’t exactly… umm… something I can share here.
(Looks over rules.)
Yep. Can’t go into detail here.
I’d like to completely change the subject, and mention how unfair it is that men and women have such different standards for “modesty”. Call it whatever you want. But if a picture of a guy without a shirt on is considered acceptable, why do we have to censor pictures of girls without shirts on? I mean, dude. Come on. Where’s gender equality in that, eh? This is the twenty-first century! We should be past that at this point!

Anyways, I’m gonna just disconnect the button for a bit and go get a latte while mentally ranting about the injustices of society. Have fun.
Tíminn verður brátt... Ertu að hlusta? Halló? Halló! Hvað ertu að gera?
...Fínt, við höfum samband síðar…
Anyways, after some time has passed, and I’ve left and returned with a latte, you have finally grown bored.
Or, as bored as you can be.
Rather, I’ve grown bored.
I suggest moving on.
DO YOU PRESS THE BUTTON? Yes No

Settlement of Safehaven - A Hearthtree Series
"Welcome to the ECS Asgard, your ride through the stars to your new home-" Or so goes the sales spiel of this one of four and first-produced colonization ship, a spiel meant to placate the portions of humanity who would be selected for such a journey through the stars. It was meant to be a simple thing; people would sleep in hibernation or stasis, to experience their lives within the virtual reality world which kept their minds occupied. The virtual world was meant to simulate a fantasy world of Viking or Roman lore. But not all with this virtual world was fine; nor were the humans who were selected for its maiden and only voyage. One colonist lost everything dear to him, but through his pain and torment, he gained the attention of the colony ship's AI.

Who Fixes Books Anyway?
On the pretense of a raise, the relatively new employee Pernie is called in to talk with her superiors. NOTE: This is a short story written for a class I took recently. As a result of deadlines, it does not possess the quality (or length) that I would like and is rather thrunkated. Perhaps sometime far in the furture I'll fix it up. For now, I have much more important things to work on, such as my other fiction.
