《I'm a brick! But why am I a Humanoid? [A Non-Level LitRPG with a Humanoid MC full of Magic, Drama and Comedic Undertone]》Chapter 23- Where we learn that even a brick know loss

I quickly summoned my mana and folded space to teleport the Flower Fae out. I might have had no idea about the location last time, but this time I will surely get there! I had referred to the map now and knew where things were. I’d seen a lot of teleportation spells over the years being cast on less, how hard could it be?
I made a funnel fold around Anu, causing all the Fae to be pulled in. What’s a funnel fold you ask? Well that is something I found in a textbook.. Basically it is a mini-portal that, instead of using a much more mana-extensive funnel rift system uses a funnel fold system. Thus instead of having to break the space around Actus to form a Portal, I could just fold it and achieve the same effect. I don’t know why it's not more popular.
As the Fae got pulled in I noticed that even Anu was getting pulled, it was miniscule, with my mana tendrils carefully avoiding him and his own mass rejecting my mana. But it was still there. It made me curious as to what effect the fold was having on the space. I let my mana sense roam into the funnel, trying to find out, it did not work. TO my shock I found that the mana was quickly losing cohesion a few millimeters from the fold, my scans could not penetrate the barrier. Worse, the barrier was also stopping me from controlling the mana tendrils and growing in power. I hadn’t noticed it because I hadn’t been paying too much attention to how well the mana tendrils were working. If I hadn’t become curious...I might have actually failed at the spell!
Stopping the flow of mana I prepared some fire bolts to take care of the rest of the Fae, since my last encounter with them, I’d prepared myself for facing them again. After all they were sure to hunt me for my magic since they knew about it, I was unique after all.
I summoned Fire Bolt to rid myself of these Fae, aiming the spell against them, and firing.
WIth a blast it set off, zooming towards the Fae and then suddenly fizzled out.
It would appear that in my haste to kill the Fae, I’d forgotten that I was not yet powerful enough to harm them, the only reason I even had a defense against them was that they had no sense for Space and thus could not even detect it being used. I turned to manulise for help but found her frozen in fear. The Fae on the other hand were not. Reverting to their base instincts, teh three creatures were advancing towards me. I created a space barrier, using a method that had proven somewhat effective last time.

Sadly, I had also forgotten another thing, my mana was limited. I’d been casting mana-intensive spells one after another and now I was nearly out. I could feel the last of my mana flow out of me as the barrier collapsed in front of me .Manulise, as if sensing her incoming peril screamed for help, an effective method given that we were surrounded by people that might hear. If only I’d thought of it a few minutes ago.
While all this was happening, Anu had been largely silent, sobbing quietly, unaware of the happenings around him. Manulise’s scream however, seemed to draw his attention. Anu turned towards us, looking at us blankly, tears streaming down his face. There was only one thing that stood out, his eyes. Instead of the dark brown they had been before, they were now an ethereal yellow with a completely unnatural design within them. The kind of design that I would recognize anywhere. They were the Eyes of Sanulorn. The eyes belonged to the only king that came close to breaking the palace’s walls. The Eyes granted their holder no power, they did something worse. They made the holder seek it. They sucked life from their user, changing him into a wraith of sadness, fear and anger. Little was known about them or how they came to be, but it was known that they had the ability to traverse the worlds and cross the barriers that separated them. Clearly they had chosen to come to Algrea this time, bringing with them memories of one of the most saddening times in my life.
Though to most the Spiral Eyed King's rebellion was the same as all the other rebellions, it was not the same for the bricks of the palace. While most of their mana served no purpose, it was also an emergency reservoir for mana in case the palace was running low. And during the that time it was always running low. As the days progressed he’d seen more and more bricks die as the palace’s wards were assaulted by the king. Over fifty of the original bricks fell in seven days. Never before or after did such an event occur. So I hated these Eyes with a passion.
I summoned my barely recovered mana and cast a spell never before cst in this world.
“Alnier Amorist Alcoran Mostebor Marminiset!” I chanted, repeating variations of the phrase 23 times as I summoned the forbidden element of Destruction. If taken by Algrea’s Magic System, the element would just be taken under space, but it was so much more. It rendered things not. Plunged molecules into the Vast Void Plane and rendered things to nothing. Though magic items like the Eyes could escape, it would take large amounts of their mana. Hopefully the Eyes were weak enough at this time to fail to escape.

As I chanted the tendrils of the Space Element gathered around the eyes, I knew that though the eyes had an intelligence, it was rather instinctual and it should not have any defenses against it. And I was right. The Eyes found themselves removed from their latest host and being sent to the Vast Void Plane. After thirty thousand years I had finally taken revenge for the fall of my brethren, even it did take all of my mana and more. That was the last thought I had before I was rendered unconscious.
I came into an unfamiliar room. It was largely white and with skeletal furnishings. What I did have was a variety of instruments, some of which seemed to be attached to me, pumping some form of blue liquid into me. As I looked around, I suddenly noticed a shadow tower over me, casting me into a dome of darkness. Not pitch black darkness, more of a dark shade that made it harder to see.
“Ignoring me are we?” A voice I recognized as belonging to Meemauy said.
“Oh! Meemauy! I did not see you there. You are kinda big for me.” I stretched my neck upwards at an unnatural angle in what was likely a foolish attempt at looking at Meemauys face. Surprisingly it succeeded. I found myself looking at Meemauy’s face that seemed to be changing angles. How was that...oh she was walking towards the front of...What was this I was on? Some kind of bed perhaps? But it had a chair on it? Perhaps a table?
“So...mind telling me what had you emptying your mana pool on your first day of school?” Meemauy asked.
“Well, a friend of mine ran off and I went after him...he was possessed by the Eyes of Sanulorn. Those are an evil set of eyes that once visited my past world. “ I said. Why did my way of speaking change when I spoke to Meemauy?
“What exactly do these Eyes do that makes them so evil?” Meemauy asked
“They remove all happiness from your life, fill it with sadness and make your mind filled with only one goal. All while leaching your life and that of those around you.” I replied
Meemauy looked like she had more questions but she was interrupted by a woman coming in and yelling,” What have you done to my son.
