《I'm a brick! But why am I a Humanoid? [A Non-Level LitRPG with a Humanoid MC full of Magic, Drama and Comedic Undertone]》Chapter 18-Where we learn how to bunk class

Studying was apparently not the same as reading, For one thing it seemed to focus less on books and more on how to keep them on bences. Let me tell you, telling a three month old baby that he had to keep the books on his table properly was a bad idea. It was sure to earn you their ire for such an action is completely beyond the capabilities of our yet immature musculature. I simply did not have the flexibility necessary to pull off such an action. Thus I had to resort to using magic to achieve this feat while we waited for the teacher to arrive. Sadly, it seemed that tables did not like it when the space around them being folded crudely and tended to collapse at such instances.
Thankfully Earth Magic made for an easy solution as I simply willed it to form another bench. By the time the teacher came in there was no trace of any mishap. Well except one table being made of stone, but that isn’t that noticeable right? I mean brown kinda jells with all the leaf green tables.
Sadly my hopes were dashed when the first thing that the teacher, a young Banmeru female, said was, “May I ask why your excellency has seen fit to change the tables?”
Jocelyn Fernandes, Magic Teacher at the school
Jocelyn was having a bad day, over the years she had learnt a few things about life. Don’t trust politicians, Babies are irritating and that Magic was not something to be abused. Sadly for her, the idiot of a headmaster that ran this school had decided that money was a good reason to allow a 3-month old noble brat into the school.
Now Jocelyn had to deal with teaching that brat something, how to teach a three month old anything besides peeing on your face was beyond Jocelyn.
‘I’ll deal with it when I have to,’ Jocelyn thought as she stepped into the class. Denying herself further thought and frustration on the matter.
Sadly for her the matter was now staring at her face, apparently the headmaster had decided that having the entitled brat have her as his first teacher was a good idea. What drugs the idiot had been taking to think so was not something she wanted to think about.
What was even more troubling was that the brat had apparently taken enough exception to their tables that he felt the need to replace them. Talk about arrogant. Against her better judgement Jocelyn could not help but ask, "May I ask why your excellence saw fit to change the tables."

Unexpectedly, the kid actually looked guilty and nervous, that was not a reaction in tune with what she expected from a noble brat.
"I… uh… Couldn't keep the books on the table properly and destroyed it by accident. Sorry? " The baby said.
Well now, wasn't that a shock? Jocelyn almost wished that it was a simple noble brat now, at least then she would not be under the fear that any random spell would leave her dead. Hopefully that was the last of the surprises the baby had in store.
"Next time try asking for help, who knows it might end with you not destroying the table. " Jocelyn said. "Now let us get on with the lesson, first I'd like each of you to introduce yourself, as you can see we have students of several ages in the classroom. This is because the school has decided to assign classes to students based on their current education level instead of age. "
"Hello everyone, I am Manulise Arinion, daughter of Masurine and Alquare Arinion. Nice to meet you! " A girl to the right of the baby said, clearly trying to signify her status. Jocelyn was looking forward to seeing her face when she realised that being the distant relative of a property tycoon was nothing before a bloody Count.
Not wanting to delay it any longer, Jocelyn said, " Perhaps your excellency would like to take the next turn? "
"Um… ok" The baby said, " Hi! I don't have a name yet but you can call me brick! I am the Count of Launeior and a Noble of the Kingdom of Mistrane! Delighted to meet you all! '' the baby said, causing silence to fill the room. Jocelyn did not know what the rest of the students expected but it was definitely not this. After all, why would the most powerful Count in Algrea attend their school? Definitely not for the curriculum, the school didn't really have one beyond 'Teach them whatever we can before they move on ' but at least they taught something.
After the students had had a few minutes to digest the information Jocelyn asked them to continue with introductions.
"Hello! I am Arnold Conferen, son of Amelia and Marrin Conferen. Nice to meet you all! '' the boy sitting on the other side of the baby said.
Like that, from row to row, column to column, the class introduced themselves. There were sons and daughters of mill workers, labourers, shopkeepers, businessmen, even small-time politicians. It was testament to the equality of Algrea that whether you descended from the rich or the poor you attended this school. Or perhaps it went to show the plight of the dwellers of this city that even the rich had no better options. It was probably one of those two.

By the time the introductions were done with, the class was over and it was time for the next one. Sadly for these little brats it was also a Magic period and Jocelyn wasn't going anywhere.
"So, I hope the lot of you enjoyed the last class because it will likely be the most enjoyable class this year and even next year for those unlucky enough to have me as their teacher." Jocelyn said she didn't really mean it, in fact she tried her best to make her classes fun. Such warnings though were effective deterrents against mischief since even the most disobedient brat would hesitate to make trouble in a classroom run by a strict teacher.
"Now who can name the types of magic? " Jocelyn asked. Almost immediately the baby raised his hand.
"Yes, your excellency? " Jocelyn said, irritated at the interruption.
"Are types the same as grades? " the baby asked.
"In the future, your excellency, I'd prefer it if you referred to me as Ma'am or Madam. As for your question, no grades are a more... scholarly gradation system. Types are elements sorted with regards to their use while grades sort using sheer destructive power. " Jocelyn said.
Leaving no time for any more interruptions by one irritating baby, she continued," The types are Mental, Artisinal, Craftial, Societal, Civilizational. Now I presume that all of you have had your affinities revealed? " Jocelyn looked around, hoping that by some miracle no objections would be raised. Sadly for her, nearly half the class raised their hands in protest, clearly the city had been slacking. Now Jocelyn had to wrestle an appointment with the administrator somehow so that these kids could have their affinities revealed. And by the end of it she'd have to move houses like she had to every time she 'caused trouble for the administrator due to some minor delays' well she'd do what she had to do, even if it meant moving again.
"You'll have to make do in this current class, I'll contact the administrator and have your affinities revealed by the next one. " Jocelyn said, putting a fake smile on her face.
"Wait ma'am" the baby said," As the highest ranking resident in the city, I am automatically the administrator so you can just file it with me. "
"Wait, you are the administrator now? " Jocelyn could not help but exclaim as all of the children turned to stare at the baby. Being a Count was one thing, being the administrator of their city was another.
"I do not understand how this particular law works, if you go to any lower ranking noble's city, you just become the administrator? " Jocelyn asked, forgetting that she was talking to a baby.
"No, just the ones without an administrator.” the baby said
“But we do have an administrator?” Jocelyn asked, puzzled for a moment but then the answer appeared to her,”No...No...The stupid guy delayed reporting his own fucking election!” Jocelyn collapsed on the table laughing boisterously under the judgemental eyes of her students...most of which were also trying their best to not laugh.

Sara's (not really) Fabulous System Armageddon, Book I: The World Ended at Rush Hour
Planet Earth, Monday, October 7th, 2019. 18:30 * * On a fateful day, during rush hour in eastern North America, Heavens and Hell crumbled and fell from their higher dimension on Earth. It came from "above" but not the same above we regard in our tridimensional Euclidean reasoning. No, it came from "above" as in from a higher dimension. Bits and pieces of those places fell on Earth from all directions, this time in tridimensional Euclidean space. Satellites, the ISS, and space debris all were wiped clean from orbit. Even those that didn't crash with the falling debris were knocked off orbit by the shockwaves. On the ground, power distribution lines were disrupted and most power facilities were left abandoned by their dead staff. Most of these had emergency shutdown routines that engaged in a few days. Some others had a survivor among their staff that followed protocol and activated their SCRAM switches, stopping the power plant. Long-distance communication disappeared the internet along with it. The world was plunged into technological darkness. Nine hundred and ninety-nine out of every thousand human beings perished immediately in the pulse of magical energy from the torn spatial boundary. Spirits were rent asunder and vanished, their fate neither salvation nor damnation, only oblivion. The criteria used for this culling was latent magic potential. It didn't discriminate against education, gender, age, or ethnic group. But of the around seven million survivors, most would meet their doom moments later. Those on moving vehicles, like the ones driving on highways suddenly had to contend with high-speed uncontrolled cars and trucks driven by corpses. Trapped in their vehicles and helpless, they became part of the long snake of crushed metal. Very few survived. Those in the air or out in the sea were alone and probably unable to control their rides. Airplanes crashed, and ships kept their course or drifted away, depending on their autopilot. Several ended their own lives in utter despair after seeing their loved ones die in front of them. Another large group would die at the hands of other survivors. Violence and aggression became the norm. Only a few sparse pockets of not-so-sane survivors managed to band together and cooperate for the sake of mutual survival. The sole survivor in a five-over-one apartment building in Georgia, a girl became the keystone to humanity's survival. Sara's fabulous System Apocalypse had just started. She has only one remark. It was anything but fabulous. * * Updates every Wednesday and Sunday.
