《I'm a brick! But why am I a Humanoid? [A Non-Level LitRPG with a Humanoid MC full of Magic, Drama and Comedic Undertone]》Chapter 16- Where surprises find a home for themselves.

Frightened, Raina looked around only to see no one, she was about to cast, in an attempt to find the inhabitant when the voice once again said,
“I’m up here Lady, but you’ll do well not to look and instead follow my instructions, I am not in the mood for your antics today.”
“Plea...Please, I…” Raina, now scared, began to say before she was interrupted.
“Uh, Uh, no excuses, drop that thing or you get shot.” The voice said, causing a clicking sound to come out.
The clicking sound caused the terrified Raina to panic and release her most powerful spell, [Turnadus Thundorous] within the room, within seconds, the rooms was rendered dark, the chandelier and decorations destroyed by winds that reached velocities greater than those achieved only by aeroplanes traveling at maximum velocity.
A scream rang out, childish in nature, causing Raina to look up. THough there was no light in the area, Raina’s [Mana Eyes] allowed her to see perfectly well and what she saw shocked her, what she had thought to be an assailant was but a child, likely no older than five and by the looks of it quite immature.
Quickly summoning her will, Raina cancelled the spell and cast an air cushion around the boy, causing him to fall down slowly. Sadly for her it also made it seem as if she was holding the boy captive in the air which did not exactly make for a very calming scene for the people that arrived there.
A total of three people, one man, one woman, and one toddler had arrived. Strangely enough it was the toddler that was in the lead, not the adults. Holding his hand up, and summoning some form of strange magic, the toddler said, “Release my brother at once, you have ten seconds to comply.”
Sadly for the little guy Raina was not in the mood for more threats, she may be scared for her life, but panicking had almost caused her to have the blood of an innocent person on her hands, she was not about to repeat that. Faking her confidence, she said, “Your family has a nasty habit of making ultimatums about things you do not understand”-the toddler’s magic glow intensified, seeming as if he was about to cast- “If I stop casting your brother will fall, with that pesky magic of yours that you wield I’m sure that you can confirm that” The last part was a gamble, but Raina would bet her life that anyone able to wield magic that she was unaware of would be capable of basic mana sensing, she was a [Magic Scholar] after all.

The toddler looked at his brother calmly, showing behaviour extremely atypical of his age, he seemed to stare at something invisible for some time and then disperse the cast. “By my estimation my brother’s velocity should decrease to landing levels in five minutes, so you have that amount of time to explain to me why you are here.” The toddler said.
“Why am I here? This is my home kid, you are the one who is where you are not supposed to be.” Raina said, using her newly learnt skill of bluffing.
The toddler’s eyes narrowed as he asked, “And what proof can you give?”
“Oh just this”-Raina waved her hand and activated the bunker’s lighting mechanism, she wasn’t sure it worked and it was extremely mana intensive, but it would serve as a good proof- “Convinced yet little guy?” Raina said.
Through Raina’s magic senses she could see her mana flow through the bunker, activating centuries old mechanisms. It was painfully slow but it also seemed to add a dramatic feel to it.
“So, was your intention to return to your home or check on the Transmigrator living there, because I doubt-” the toddler began but was cut short by Raina screaming,
“A Transmigrator! A bloody Transmigrator!”- she collapsed on the floor, her bravado and knees giving way to simple crushing sorrow, thankfully an enchantment on the cloth was able to save the baby,- “No, No, No, it can’t be it can’t be…”-she kept shaking her head from side to side, her mind breaking down- “Why? Why? Why does this world have to be so cruel! Why? Why can’t I just catch a break?” she said sobbingly.
The toddler on the other hand seemed understandably confused by this novel turn of events, first the intruder was an evil sorceress here to kill them all, next a mage returning to his now occupied home and then she was a crying mother? Make up your mind please miss, you are confusing the hell out of me.
“Umm, can I help you?” the toddler asked
“Yes, Yes, you can...Oh I don’t even know what you can do to help me!” Raina said before returning to sobbing.
The family stared at the strange mage that was crying with bewilderment at the situation. Who has a powerful mage break into the house, say and prove it to be theirs and then start crying because of a toddler’s title?

Finally, Raina gave in to her exhaustion and fell unconscious.
I crept away from the sweet monster with slow measured steps. For some strange incomprehensible reason the monster did not like my answer. Waffles were apparently not a good reason to run away. Clearly, Meemauy had yet to experience the joy of waffles.
I would have to enlighten her about it sometime. Maybe after I deal with her anger?
Now what would be the best strategy here? Clearly I needed to give a better reason. But what exactly was a better reason than waffles?...School should work.
“I am bored Meemauy, I want to go to school.” I said, assured of my success.
Meemauy however just looked at me weirdly. “Child, kindergarten starts at 3 years old, school at 6. Finding a school that will accept a 3 month old will be harder than you think.”
Oops, I did not think of that. Now what?...Charity! The Arlfords obviously have money and building a school is a good deed too!
“ We can build one that does? And then invite poor people to join?” I put forth my brilliant idea.
Meemauy looked surprised at my suggestion, as if I had suggested something that she hadn’t even considered.
“It would be better if we supported those that were already operating but were running out of funds...I remember there being a few applications of that sort…” Meemauy said.
Situated in the vast countryside of Mistrane the Wanderwalls Institute of Education had been teaching those of financially weaker backgrounds for all of three months. Created by an enterprising young man with a passion for charity, it had received a far too modest grant from the local Baron.
In three months tha grant had been blown through by a series of unanticipated costs. Apparently lights tend to stop working and tables tend to start rotting when faced with the constant misuse of magic by toddlers and young adolescents that did not yet comprehend the reality of the world.
Within it the young man responsible for the school was sitting on his desk crying as he held a scroll in his hands. It was a good thing that he had chosen to do this within the bounds of his office or it would have led to the near-instant creation of a rumour that the Headmaster of Wanderwalls had lost his mind, for what sane man would cry on receiving an outrageously gracious grant from the Arlford family? If someone had asked the young man that, they would be given only one answer.
“ Someone that knows about the freaks living in that family, that's who.”

Aevalin and The Age of Readventure
Below you can find the blurbs for each arc of Aevalin and The Age of Readventure. Aevalin: Klause Schuar the Grand Bastard (Aevalin and the Age of Readventure, #1) Klause Schuar, the Grand Bastard who destroyed the world in his pursuit of magical power, believed to be a only legend by some, is a horror of the distance past. Though seven-hundred years after the Age of Darkness, the world is birthing itself anew—the dark magicks have receded and the festering plague that extinguished entire kingdoms is no more. The roads have been opened and regular travel between nations is now possible. The newly formed guilds are active. Where monster hunting and dungeon diving are lucrative trades, long dead kingdoms are being rebuilt in this glorious age of rediscovery. This is the story of Arlian Brennovo, lord and commander of the City Watch during the last days before the Age of Darkness—before the Age of Readventure! * Glorious New Age (Aevalin and The Age of Readventure, #2) Yoreno Brendara, a relatively sheltered noble, has joined his father in the mythical kingdom of Aevalin with his mother and sister. His father has arranged for him to train under Dantera Brennovo, a descendant of the legendary Arlian Brennovo who fought in the Grand Bastard’s war against King Balthazar and his High Mage to save the world. Now Yoreno will become an adventurer, fighting alongside a successful lady in arms—and a rich one at that. It is a grand opportunity for Yoreno to become a knight of Aevalin and to participate in the glorious new Age or Readventure! * Knight of Aevalin (Aevalin and The Age of Readventure, #3) After being conferred with a knighthood, Yoreno plans to enjoy the Age of Readventure festival with his friends and mentor. During the festivities Yoreno witnesses a plot to assassinate king Branlin. Dantera Brennovo, top-tier adventurer, knight of Aevalin and lady of rank, is charged by the king to quietly uncover the plot. As her newly knighted protégé, Yoreno must assist Dantera in her efforts to keep the king and his new Age of Readventure alive. * Errant Adventurer (Aevalin and the Age of Readventure, #4) Having unexpectedly received Dantera’s lands and titles after her banishment, Yoreno places Yorinius in command of the Roaming Lions. Together with his friends, Yoreno and the members of the Emblazoned Party set out in search of Dantera as she pursues King Branlin’s assassin far outside of the safety found within the borders of Aevalin. * Kingdom of the Blue Dragon (Aevalin and the Age of Readventure, #5)Having survived capture and escape from the barbarous tribal stronghold in the hills, Yoreno and his friends set forth with Dantera to scout out the assassin clan responsible for King Branlin’s death. Weather they have the necessary strength to challenge the assassins, they do not know. Meanwhile Yoreno’s close proximity to Dantera continues to distract him from their quest at hand.

Travels of a spirit fox
When the village she watches over is destroyed in a civil war Gyoma, a kitsune is trapped in the mortal realm. With a letter adressed to the brother of a man she killed, a lord chasing her and a desire to find a way home she begins her journey I created this story as a school project and it consumed all my writer's motivation for a year. I am now going back off hiatus and am allowed to post this here. Due to the constraints of the project I feel it is more condensed than I would have liked but I won't change that. lots of research went into this.

A Fate Shaped by Magick
This fiction was (and is) published on fanfiction dot net under the same title; though as I slowly transfer it to here, I am editing and smoothing it. This story takes place in the Elder Scrolls (TES) Universe mostly ending up in Morrowind. This is a slice of life meant to answer the questions of how (in the TES universe) do mages study and learn, and exploring some of the in-game differences between TES 2 and 3. This book has minimal spoilers for the Morrowind main quest and does not fully explore it. If you think that giant insects would make cool pets - if you like the idea of exploring magic NOT intended simply as killing something better, faster or more gore-ridden, then come on in and enjoy.
