You know, I have been wondering how you got this blue screen
Gods can’t bless or talk to monsters, such has always been
But here you are, a portal monster I can reach out to
A truly mighty god must have pulled some strings to bless you
Sting had given up on flying as fast as he could
Trying to escape the screen was doing him no good
Scared of everything around him, he flew way up high
Hoping to find some level of peace in the blue sky
He hovered so high off the ground that he could hear no sound
Just the wind against his back as he looked all around
Forests and small towns filled every place that he could see
An a beautiful horizon that went on endlessly
He thought about his home, the place where he was born and raised
If his dead family could see this view, they’d be amazed
And then it hit him all at once, the things he’d never thought
Thanks to the huge surge in intelligence that he got
His family was gone, all killed while hunting down that boy
Ilke himself, just thinking of the blood they could enjoy
He grimaced at the thought of craving such a source of food
Cursing the perspective with which he had been imbued
Achievement: Thoughtful Little Bug
I wish that I could read your mind, you look so deep in thought
Here’s some more intelligence on top of what you’ve got
We will have to see about your mana stats as well
Once you learn to speak I’m sure you’ll have great tales to tell

Ignoring what he read for just a moment as he gazed
Trying to suppress the fire in his mind which still blazed
He looked upon the world to which he was still fairly new
Looking past the feelings that he felt at such a view

I know that you can understand this, my cute little friend
I’ll try and walk you through this while you have free time to spend
It would be quite hard to survive in your current form
If you with to thrive here you must first learn to transform
He skimmed the message as his mind again began to ache
And felt his journey through the portal was a great mistake
Oh how he wished he could still be home and free of fear
In a place where his mind had been empty but so clear
But he could not return to living off the dead again
He grimaced at the thought of how he’d been living back then
Now his life was more than just surviving til he died
Now his senses had expanded to include some pride
While soaking up the beauty of the landscape beneath him
A fanciful thought came to him, as if upon a whim
He’d become alone in a new world and he was strong
He resolved he’d do his best to live healthy and long
The world he’d come from was a place of chaos and despair
Even though he’d been to unintelligent to care
He would find more fruits to eat and enjoy scenery
Flying freely through the sky above the greenery
If he had the face for it, Sting would have smiled and sighed
The world beneath his six long legs was opening up wide
So it was disappointing, and he thought it made no sense
The sky turned black and he could feel a great portal presence

Unbound Deathlord: Challenge
Due to Amazon's Kindle Unlimited rules, I had to pull most of the book content from RoyalRoad. Only sample chapters remain. To read a fiction that will never be removed from Royal Road, I recommend my other fiction: Immortal Conqueror. The first two books of the series are out on Amazon: Book 1: Unbound Deathlord: ChallengeBook 2: Unbound Deathlord: Obliteration Book 1: Challenge When virtual reality becomes real enough that people feel as if they’re being transported to another world, Valia Online arrives.A man running from his past joins the game to forget it all. Calling himself Jack Thorn, he chooses an undead race, Deathlord.A mage by choice, and a swordsman by necessity, he soon finds out that he’ll need to use much more than magic and steel to survive; strategy, creativity, and carefully chosen words can often accomplish what simple attacks can’t.As the game becomes too real and touches a part of him that he’d rather leave buried, he is faced with two questions:Who is he, really? And who should he become?

The Sea of Destiny
[Let me be straight with you. This is trash, like old dime store novel trash. Don't expect grandiose writing, anything profound, or much beyond being free of spelling errors. Like my profile says, it’s hopefully like a salty snack, decent and satisfying for people looking for this kind of thing (at least that's my hope). It is simple, weird, and most likely growing in ridiculousness as it rapidly escalates.] Michael just wants to get away after a rough breakup. He figures some time alone cruising on a sick jet ski will help clear his head. After a small series of mishaps he winds up as humanities last hope adrift at sea after nuclear devastation destroys the mainland. Will he be able to solve the mystery of the bowl of the ancients before nuclear winter freezes over his dwindling food supply? Who are these mysterious women he keeps meeting, and will he even care about the talents they bring to the table, or will he be too focused on how they keep ruining his carefully laid plans for survival at sea? Read this cheesy short story to see for yourself, and discover the true mystery behind the hand of fate.

She decides to grab her trusty rifle and set out into a home made strange and sinister, determined to find her father and confront whoever is responsible. The Lay of the Black Doors is a horror/adventure story that takes place in a secondary world. It is mainly inspired by the Cthulhu Mythos, Amnesia: The Dark Descent, China Miéville’s Bas-Lag books, M.T. Anderson’s The Game of Sunken Places, and Shea and Wilson’s The Illuminatus! Trilogy. Be warned that the story involves frightening situations and occasional dark themes, as well as some violence and gore. Weekly updates. No longer on hiatus! The cover image is not mine. It is "The Drawbridge," a 1761 engraving by Giovanni Battista Piranesi.
