Regretting that they came into town prepared for a fight
“Let us start again, we may have been unclear at first
We simply heard the System rumours and we feared the worst”
Log was frustrated that Sky and Hawk had left that day
No one in the village was more skilled with words than they
But as it was his own son they messengers now sought
He resolved himself to give diplomacy a shot
“Look, it’s just you’ve come here at a real bad time is all
We’ve been running round here like the sky’s about to fall
And though you may have come here with orders to find someone
The one you’re ordering me to relinquish is my son”
He didn’t realize that his tone had grown harsh and mean
Until he noticed Roy’s expression was one he had seen
Many times he’d fought a monster who knew it would die
That same glint of fear was now present in this man’s eye

His words reminded Roy about worries of the king
Who thought it best to change the matter they were discussing

No doubt you’ve read messages that cause you alarm too
If there’s someone who has seen a System Message screen
It may help us understand what our gods’ worries mean”
Delilah wiped her bloody knuckles on her shirt and stared
Reminding Roy about his recent fight and how he faired
“My son has never harmed a soul, despite his wretched fate
He’s never done a thing to be burdened with such a weight
Go back to your King and tell him we’ll deal with our own
He won’t get his scouts back next time, so leave us alone”

Threatening a king though, that is a bold thing to do
Here’s some strength to go with that tenacity of yours

Several friends had gathered to stand between her and Roy
It was clear to all she’d curse the kingdom for her boy
Luckily the tension wasn’t lost on Roy and Neil
Pain was not the only cause for worry he could feel

After all, one can not show up to a city expecting to be its mayor for nothing.
