Log was frustrated that Sky and Hawk had left that day

No one in the village was more skilled with words than they

But as it was his own son they messengers now sought

He resolved himself to give diplomacy a shot

“Look, it’s just you’ve come here at a real bad time is all

We’ve been running round here like the sky’s about to fall

And though you may have come here with orders to find someone

The one you’re ordering me to relinquish is my son”

He didn’t realize that his tone had grown harsh and mean

Until he noticed Roy’s expression was one he had seen

Many times he’d fought a monster who knew it would die

That same glint of fear was now present in this man’s eye

Delilah wiped her bloody knuckles on her shirt and stared

Reminding Roy about his recent fight and how he faired

“My son has never harmed a soul, despite his wretched fate

He’s never done a thing to be burdened with such a weight

Go back to your King and tell him we’ll deal with our own

He won’t get his scouts back next time, so leave us alone”
