There are few as proud as what they’ve done as an envoy

Roy has been delivering things since he was a boy

No monster has ever stopped his quest along the way

With his stamina he can keep going night and day

Everybody, young and old, was gathered in the square

The messengers had come to speak to everybody there

Ignoring all the damage in the little town they’d found

One messenger spoke with a booming voice that would resound

“Subjects of our noble kingdom, we are here today

Sharing the decree of our king, whom you must obey

As you know, the kingdom has seen peace for many years

But the gods have brought to light a number of new fears

It’s come to our attention that a boy is living here

Who has seen System Messages, which so rarely appear

You must bring him to us by the order of the king

We must bring the boy back with us now for questioning”

Log knew what what happen, but he could act in time

Even though they all knew to resist would be a crime

“I will never give my son to you or anyone

Get the heck out of my village, your job here is done”

Half the village rolled their eyes, her words were expected

But these messengers made it clear, the would be respected

Roy came forward right away to put her in her place

But he was greeted with one of Log’s big fists in his face

Both the envoys were surprised at what had just occurred

Especially the one upon the ground, whose voice was heard

“Do you dare assault an envoy sent here by your king?”

He stopped talking when he noticed his nose was bleeding

Log stepped forward and offered the messenger a hand

Roy was shocked but took the big man’s help to slowly stand

“I guess they don’t teach city boys the appraisal skill

If you need someone to show you how, I gladly will”

Roy held his nose firmly while is colleague looked in awe

They boy used their appraisal skills and gawked at what they saw

As they looked around with the skill, everybody smiled

Compared to their stats, his looked like they belonged to a child
