All right, this is an announcement I was REALLY hoping I wouldn’t ever have to make, especially because I much prefer writing a warning like this in an author’s note the week before. However, as the title says, I will not be able to release a chapter this week. After the insanity of the past few weeks, as well as a few things that came up this week I had forgotten about and then needed to deal with, I ended up far too exhausted to properly focus on writing for the past several days. Even up until last night, I was really hoping I could somehow get everything ready and release the chapter on time, but I just don’t think I can get everything together in time. Even last week, as well as the week before last week, I was kind of wondering if I really had the ability to get everything set up for this week, and the original version of the author’s note included a notice that I might take next week off. But both weeks I felt bad about it after I wrote that part of the author’s note, so I deleted it and resolved that I would DEFINITELY have the chapter ready, even if it would be a bit harder. I think maybe I pushed myself a bit too hard to make everything work out last week…

I kind of regret that now – expecting myself to work at optimal efficiency and productiveness at all times regardless of other circumstances is a fair bit more unrealistic than I originally expected, and has led to this problem cropping up where I need to say the chapter won’t be happening, even without prior notice. I deeply apologize for this. ☹

Unless something goes catastrophically wrong, chapters should resume next week.
