‘Welcome to the Academy’ Introductory Booklet
Page 14 – Glossary of Terms
Acolyte – The designation of all students admitted to the Academy.
Arena – (Map H3) The primary Arena for direct combat sparring.
Ascension – The selection of an Acolyte to become an active and permanent member of the Legion (please note Ascensions are temporarily suspended pending further notice).
Ashes – Acolytes present at the Academy during the African Devastation who continue to support the Legion. The Ashes are here to help you; please show them the utmost courtesy and respect.
Challenges – Academy-wide sparring competitions held at the Arena. Please see the notice board for upcoming Challenge dates.
Memorial – (Map C8) The Memorial to the Legion’s fallen members. Non-denominative services are held here every Sunday, 8:30am. If you wish to make an offering outside these services, please refer to the guidelines on page 12.
Morningstar – The Academy’s central building. All rooms designated ‘MS’ are within this complex.
Shutdown – A four-day period commencing Thursday 23 November (Thanksgiving) during which no classes will be held. If you require continuing accommodation during this time, please contact administration.

Amara has spent most of her life with her parents, either switching the time they spent with her or leaving her alone most of the time. On her sixteenth birthday, her parents were a no-show. But to make up for their no-show, they did give her a gift. A gift that was going to be coveted by a lot of people who played virtual reality games. This gift would allow her to become something, to be someone in the world. To not be the kid whose parents have left her to fend for herself since she was ten. When the new game, Core Microsystem, came out, there was a twist. A twist that changed a lot of people’s lives. When a player went to create their character sheet, a random generator would offer them the chance to become a dungeon core in this new world. Watch as Amara creates her dungeon and how that affects her life in the real world.

Follow Ryan, a false precognitive as he works to join the Power Regulation Agency, the premier organization in charge of categorizing and managing dangerous abilities. Along the way, he will have to face criminals and murderers of the worst sort, while enduring the scorn of his peers and coworkers, as he struggles to overcome the stigma of his own abilities and do something to improve the world. This is my first posted work, and will be participating in Writathon. If there are errors please point them out. If there is constructive criticism, that is also appreciated. This fiction was (and is) published on fanfiction dot net under the same title; though as I slowly transfer it to here, I am editing and smoothing it. This story takes place in the Elder Scrolls (TES) Universe mostly ending up in Morrowind. This is a slice of life meant to answer the questions of how (in the TES universe) do mages study and learn, and exploring some of the in-game differences between TES 2 and 3. This book has minimal spoilers for the Morrowind main quest and does not fully explore it. If you think that giant insects would make cool pets - if you like the idea of exploring magic NOT intended simply as killing something better, faster or more gore-ridden, then come on in and enjoy.
