Page 14 – Glossary of Terms
Acolyte – The designation of all students admitted to the Academy.
Arena – (Map H3) The primary Arena for direct combat sparring.
Ascension – The selection of an Acolyte to become an active and permanent member of the Legion (please note Ascensions are temporarily suspended pending further notice).
Ashes – Acolytes present at the Academy during the African Devastation who continue to support the Legion. The Ashes are here to help you; please show them the utmost courtesy and respect.
Challenges – Academy-wide sparring competitions held at the Arena. Please see the notice board for upcoming Challenge dates.
Memorial – (Map C8) The Memorial to the Legion’s fallen members. Non-denominative services are held here every Sunday, 8:30am. If you wish to make an offering outside these services, please refer to the guidelines on page 12.
Morningstar – The Academy’s central building. All rooms designated ‘MS’ are within this complex.
Shutdown – A four-day period commencing Thursday 23 November (Thanksgiving) during which no classes will be held. If you require continuing accommodation during this time, please contact administration.

Galondé Online
The long awaited Nest VR system, a revolutionary gaming experience, is releasing with a single game, Galondé Online. While the Nest promises all senses and the most realistic VR experience, little is known about it, or the MMORPG launching with it. One young man logs into the game to play with his friend, only to be randomly selected to test out a beta version of the game, along with a few thousand other people. The game is fun and exciting, but before long, the players realize there is one big problem with the game. They can't log out. Low levels of Profanity (PG-13)

A clever youth is transported to a magical world called Egid. He has no special powers or talents, yet he signs up to be an adventurer. The city he finds himself in is known as Clarenburgh. It's a city-state run by the adventurer's guild because it sits on the start of a land bridge that leads to the wild, mostly unexplored frontier know as the eastern continent. How will a broke, under-equipped, clueless, weak boy fair in the adventuring capital of the world?

Parallels
Parallels are a constant in life. Our friends' lives often run parallel to ours; we share similar experiences or tastes- perhaps even both. Sometimes, however, opposites attract- and our lives run perpendicular. In that case, we are not attracted by similarities; rather, we are attracted to the differences in others. So, what happens when two parallels are broken apart? What might happen to them? Are they forever doomed to run alongside each other, never seeing one another, never meeting? Or, perhaps, might they be spun about? Could these lines that formerly ran alongside one another meet? Could they possibly be set perpendicular? Any feedback is welcome, so long as it is constructive. Also, you may not use any characters, ideas, places, or what have you that I present here without my explicit permission. A note: This is a story which I began over a year ago, but never got around to finishing- it feels about time to really get it going. Now, there are a couple of things about the story, and myself, that need to be said. First and foremost, there's a slow start, but by the third-fourth chapter things should be speeding up a bit. Secondly, in regards to release speed and/or word count per chapter, I make no promises- my schedule is fairly random, and in regards to word count, I will cut off any chapter at any point that feels appropriate to me- that may include cliffhangers, if necessary. I'm not trying to reach a specific word count, I am trying to create a cohesive story, with pseudo-appropriate chapter breaks. This means I will also not rush a half-baked release for the sake of getting a release out. Thirdly, I will make any edits, anywhere in the story and at any time, that strike me as necessary- typically being wording and/or formatting changes, but I may also decide to change major plot points- in that case I would put a notification in the next chapter released. Finally, and most importantly, I am a Christian; this story is intended to at least moderately reflect those values. So, if you particularly dislike any of these things, feel free to look elsewhere, and don't let the door hit you on the way out. God bless, friends.

Heaven's Wing
Azalea, a young licensed Demon Hunter, is traveling from the country of Laamhi to go to the country of Westar where she is planning on looking back into some aspects of her past. Instead of going to directly to her destination, she decided to stop over in Ylam city in the country of Surus. In Ylam City, an organized hunt is called to take down an A-rank demon, Ur’Yarha. Azalea decides to join the hunt to gather more experience and since it is in the way to her destination. To avoid conflict with other hunters, she promises to take only the credit of participation, leaving all other loots and monetary rewards to them. The hunt is to finish smoothly until a spoiled noble thought of a different plan after laying his eyes at her. Unfortunately, this pampered rich-boy of an influential and powerful clan in the region does not take rejection quite well. Trouble comes to Azalea one after another.
