《Arrogant Young Master Template A Variation 4》7. Prepared

'This Blazing Sun Scripture is pretty weird. No wonder people burnt themselves to death. Slight mistakes in cultivation causes minute but cumulative blockage in meridians, causing Qi deviation after some time.'
'I can easily write this down and give it to Ning Bi, but I wouldn't be able to answer any of her questions since I can't cultivate it.'
'How many Profound Points does it take to get this to intermediate-level comprehension?'
[Blazing Sun Scripture requires 12 Profound Points to advance to intermediate level]
'Alright, advance it to intermediate level'
[Blazing Sun Scripture (Mortal)]
Power: Very Weak
Comprehension: Intermediate (0/48)
Stage: Qi Condensation (0/13)
Han De could feel his understanding of the scripture transform to a whole new level.
'Truly an MC level scripture. Only perverted level people could cultivate this. I'm glad I don't have fire roots.'
The best way of transferring his knowledge was to record it on a scroll. Entering one of his study rooms, Han De grabbed a brush and started writing it down. After a minute he started tearing up the scroll because he realized he was writing in the Latin alphabet, using the English language no less.
'I can read seamlessly but writing requires muscle memory and habit. Even with a brush, I'm way more used to writing in English. I don't really notice it but I naturally think in this continent's language when talking to other people or reading scriptures. A side effect of getting another person's memory perhaps?'
Getting a new scroll, Han De started writing again, but this time he deliberately mulled over every character. The script that he was using now was very similar to Chinese, but since Han De gave up learning Chinese after a few days he remembered practically nothing about it.
'Thankfully previous Han De's mother was strict in teaching him calligraphy. It is slow, but I can recall his muscle memory in writing each character'
While waiting for the ink to dry, he switched his thoughts towards his own cultivation. Although he could use basic level Qi techniques to make it dry faster, he didn't want to risk it. The memory of his 0 to Mach 2 in 0.01 seconds flight was still fresh in his mind.
'I got 5 Light Element cultivation techniques. Derived Method token only produces an incomplete method. With 82 Profound Points and 4 Cultivation Method Fragments left, it's nowhere near enough.'
'Blazing Sun Scripture was an incomplete fire element technique, so using Profound Points to learn it instantly wasn't a waste. It would be better for me to learn these 5 manually first.'
Grabbing the now dry scroll, Han De headed for Ning Bi. He found her in a lotus position, trying to sense Qi strands. Han De could tell she was very close and only needed a tiny bit more effort.
'Her progress is impressive when you think about it. Her only exposure world of cultivation was through an exiled mortal civil servant which was her father, and that guiding uncle which was most likely at 1st stage of Qi Condensation throughout his entire life'
[Congratulations]
[Host's disciple Ning Bi successfully reached Qi Condensation Level 1]
[Issuing 5 Profound Points as a reward.]
Breaking into a genuine smile, Han De patiently waited for Ning Bi to exit her meditation. She had just learned how to manipulate Qi strands, some bit of experimentation due to curiosity was inevitable.
Ning Bi saw her master in front of her when she opened her eyes. Han De had the Patient Teacher B look equipped. He didn't waste any time and started to teach her about cultivation. How to circulate Qi, meridians, dantian, Qi deviation, pills, elixirs, formations, cultivation stages, and more. What he taught was common sense that every cultivator knew, but it was still a lot. He patiently answered any questions Ning Bi had and made sure she understood everything.

'Comprehension 8 is not a joke. Thankfully original Han De had good teachers, all I had to do was to retell their explanations from memory'
Putting a scroll in front of Ning B, Han De continued.
"This is Blazing Sun Scripture. It was an incomplete technique, but I rewrote it for you. The technique is highly compatible with you, it will be your main cultivation method for the Qi Condensation realm. This scroll contains both the scripture and some insights I thought you might find useful."
Han De explained the scripture in detail. He guided her while she cultivated and pointed out her mistakes. Once he was sure she properly understood, he left while saying some encouraging words.

Solving the short term issue of his disciple, the next day, Han De started working on his own cultivation. He was a lazy and average office worker in his past. After a transmigration, one would think a person would work hard and cultivate to achieve immortality. That wasn't the case in reality, however. At least in Han De's case. He wasn't using his all to cultivate but was using it to find a shortcut.
'This 'Light Through a Single Thought cultivation method is just too nonsensical. Half of what it says is just empty words. One sentence seems like it is describing light, but the next sentence is literally gibberish. Through Heaven and Earth's transformation Yang becomes Yin? Ok?! How is that even relevant??!'
'I thought I could save some Profound Points but this thing is incomprehensible. Whatever, it's just 3 points, I'll just learn it through that'
Gritting his teeth, Han De spent the points and learned the cultivation method.
[Light Through a Single Thought]
Power: Extremely Weak
Comprehension: Beginner (0/6)
Stage: Qi Condensation (0/13)
Giving an involuntary sigh, Han De looked at the jade slip once again. 'Still feels mostly nonsensical, well no matter. Upgrade comprehension of this to Master level'
[Light Through a Single Thought Cultivation Method requires 32 Profound Points to master it]
'Sure, sure, just spend it already'
With knowledge filling his brain, Han De was both surprised and annoyed. 'I didn't expect cultivators to understand properties of light, but I guess geniuses are geniuses regardless of the world they live in.'
'So that nonsensical sentence, -Through Heaven and Earth's transformation Yang becomes Yin- actually meant to describe photon's behavior as a particle and a wave? How the hell could anyone infer that through something like this?!'
[Light Through a Single Thought]
Power: Extremely Weak
Comprehension: Master
Stage: Qi Condensation (0/13)
'There is no way I can comprehend these methods on my own in an acceptable time frame. I can learn that given enough time but maybe because I came from a different world, their way of describing phenomena is just too cryptic.'
'It's like these guys are sharing their knowledge, but they are doing it begrudgingly.'
'Maybe this is the reason why technology level is so low even though there are people that live for tens of thousands of years. If Newton was a cultivator, he wouldn't have published his laws of motion or his theory of gravity. Those would be either locked away in a sect where only highest elders could take a look maybe once a year or would be placed in his legacy where it would rot for thousands of years until someone 'worthy' enough came and received it'
'If Einstein was a cultivator, E=MC^2 would be a profound revelation of natural laws, there would be an entire profound scripture about it and no one would even know'

[Profound Points: 52]
'No way it is enough for 5 methods, maybe I can increase Starfall Scripture but that would be it.'
[Starfall Scripture requires 52 Profound Points to master]
*siigh* 'Will I receive some points when Ning Bi reaches Qi Condensation level 2? I should get more disciples but where could I begin to look for another MC?'
Han De looked at the cultivation idiot's memories. Being a genius his speed was unprecedented. Starfall Scripture was highly compatible with him. After reaching Qi Condensation, it took him only a month to reach level 2. A true genius.
'A month isn't bad. Ning Bi being an MC she probably could do it in 2 weeks. Blazing Sun is also highly compatible with her, so let's say a week or two?'
[Congratulations]
[Host's disciple Ning Bi successfully reached Qi Condensation Level 2]
[Issuing 15 Profound Points as a reward.]
'F#$& that wasn't even 24 hours.' Han De took a deep breath.
Feeling pressured, he was reminded of his first disciple's Fate being Purifier of Planes. Han De started to randomly walk within the house. He wasn't used to high stress, high-risk environments like this, so he started walking. His desire to run away had overwhelmed him, but being in a different world, places he could run away was limited, as such he ended up in one of the armories in his house.
He had ordered many weapons since he had no idea which type of weapon Ning Bi might be talented in. He spotted a few sets of double-edged curved warglaive pairs.
'These don't look like Xianxia weapons at all. They are way too weird for this world. I know I had asked a few sets of each weapon type, but did you have to send in these things as well? Does my disciple look like a buff blind Night Elf dude to you?'
Grumbling inside, Han De, of course, immediately equipped the flashiest looking pair of warglaives. He could cringe at the name of Heaven Defying Tyrannical Sword art, but he couldn't resist the temptation of swinging around a uselessly big pair of blades. This was a man's romance dammit!
Swinging around the huge blades while uncontrollably giggling, Han De lost track of time. He tried a variety of cool offensive and defensive stances. This was an entirely new world for him. He couldn't help but to give a contemplative boss pose and speak in a relaxed but mildly disappointed tone. "You are not prepared"
"..."
"I-i am sorry, Master! Please forgive me!"
Han De was inside his own world. He was under huge pressure ever since he came to this world. He hadn't had a chance to relax under threat of soul dissipation, or getting refined into a spiritual pill by the sect master, or forming an irreversible grudge with the future Purifier of Planes.
Seeing a real set of gorgeous demon hunter warglaives acted as a pressure valve for him. He was so focused on his little relaxation activity, he had no idea how long Ning Bi was standing at the armory's door.
Realizing the situation, Han De's body went stiff. It took all of his willpower to hold onto the warglaives. The more he thought of the situation, the more embarrassed he became. This was definitely going to be a part of his dark history in the future. Not only that, he now had completely shattered his profound expert impression.
Using his spiritual senses he looked at Ning Bi without turning his back. He could feel that his face was entirely red. He didn't dare to face his disciple at this moment.
"I wanted to report to you that I reached Qi Condensation level 2 a few hours ago…"
Ning Bi's voice became smaller and smaller as she spoke. She was still bowing, not daring to look up.
Quickly wanting to change the subject and move away from this room to never come back, Han De decided to act as if nothing had ever happened.
"I know, you have done well. However, you should not be complacent. Your cultivation speed can be considered fast but you have started quite late. You are catching up, not trailing a new path."
"Once you reach Qi Condensation level 5, you may start training with weapons and choose a suitable type to focus on. You are not to practice with them until level 5, understood?"
"Alright, you may leave. Continue to work hard in the future."
"Yes, Master"
Ning Bi raised her head. Still using his spiritual sense without turning his back, Han De saw the sparkling look she gave to the warglaives he was holding. 'So cool. Master is so cool. He was even cooler than before! I must reach level 5 quickly!'
Never having been more embarrassed in his life, Han De couldn't figure out what his disciple was thinking. Seeing her sparkly eyes he wished he could dig a hole and enter it.
His requirement for Qi Condensation 5 was a panic move. Normally disciples would train with weapons even before reaching the Qi Condensation stage. Apart from a few sects that focus primarily on spiritual mantras, most sects and families would teach martial arts from a young age because they were helpful in sensing and controlling Qi.
Ning Bi, enamored by her father's cultivator stories, and her master's amazing display at the ceremony and his profound warglaive art she saw a moment ago, didn't question his teachings. She just wanted to reach level 5 with all her being.
Han De didn't notice this fire burning inside her. He sighed and remembered the bonus points he got. Quitely mastering the Starfall Scripture, he retired to the closest courtyard with a spiritual spring to cultivate.

[Starfall Scripture (Mortal)]
Power: Extremely Weak
Comprehension: Master
Stage: Core Formation (Mid-Stage)
'Mastering Starfall Scripture reduced the cycle time to 6 minutes and increased the per cycle XP I was getting. Right now, If I could cultivate 10 hours a day with this, I could reach the advanced stage in little more than 9 years. If I take pills it might be 7-ish years. The main benefit of the master level comprehension was spiritual energy recharge speed, not cultivation speed. If I exhaust all my reserves, it would take me about a week to reach peak condition again. Before it would be a month.'

*sigh* 'I have to grind this to Core Mid Level to confirm it, but it seems like it will be slower than Starfall Scripture.'
Han De went back to his bedroom. He was already tired, nearly 3 hours of cultivation was enough to exhaust him. Thankfully today was a peaceful day that was totally ordinary. There wasn't anything worth remembering at all. He was sure he would never remember this totally uneventful day in the future.

Witness the dawn of an era. 🧙🧙🧙 This is a story I'd written a few years back, and I figured it's a waste to just let it sit around. Most of it is already written, but I'm going through the chapters and editing the shit out of them. This story is NOT a Lit-RPG, so no blue screens or anything of the sort. It is just fast-paced fiction with slight cultivation elements. Updates are bi-daily (so every 2 days), and chapters are 1500-3000 words. As always, feedback is more than welcome. Why are you still reading the synopsis? You have already decided. Go ahead, give this story a shot. It's worth it.

This fiction belongs to the same universe as Ancient Blood. English is not my native language, so please don't be harsh. This story is an adaption of an idea, that we, a friend of mine and me, have developed over a few months while taking a break from learning. Some parts were written by Emberspark. Thank you for allowing me to work with your ideas and letting me publish this as a whole. Updates... I will try to frequently update both of my fictions... Well in case you are interested I post it on Scribble hub, too. I really don't steal from myself 😂
