《Becoming God of a Dystopian World 》Chapter 282: The Mysterious Voice

The regular piece on his side came to life once again and as its claws grew bigger, it attacked the dragon piece by sashing its claws at it.
Another piece's limit fell to 0, and the dragon piece was destroyed.
'That felt good.'
Zhao Luo thought while looking at the dark expression on Bu Xing's face.
"This game is fun."
Zhao Luo suddenly said to Bu Xing who was still pondering over something.
'Did he fool me or was he really mistaken about the direction?'
Bu Xing thought but just this thought would have made Zhao Luo laugh.
Even if he looked sincere while apologizing, it didn't mean that he hadn't pointed in the opposite direction of the one he had told Bu Xing about.
After shaking off the irrelevant thoughts Bu Xing who was having a weird day stared at Zhao Luo before opening his mouth to say something.
"Where will we be pointing now?"
Bu Xing curiously asked Zhao Luo while Zhao Luo chuckled in response.
"Senior, how would I know that? Let's keep it fair."
Zhao Luo told Bu Xing which caused him to take a step back as now he was sure of the fact that he had indeed been fooled him.
'I have never been fooled before this. All of my enemies and friends would face misfortune before leaving me. No matter who tried to do something bad to me, it never happened and they would always have to suffer instead, but what is this? Who is this guy?'
Bu Xing looked more interested in Zhao Luo than the anger he was supposed to be projecting towards Zhao Luo.
"Yes, let's keep it fair."
Bu Xing answered Zhao Luo with a nod before starting the next round.
'He will never know that I will be looking down for the third time in a row.'

Zhao Luo thought as he had already made up his mind on where he will be turning his head at.
On the count of three, Zhao Luo turned his head down while looking at Bu Xing who was pointing his hand towards the right.
'Good.'
Zhao Luo breathed in the relief he was feeling as he used his chance to destroy the fourth dragon piece.
"Only one more win."
Zhao Luo mumbled with a confident look on his face as he thought that his victory was inevitable.
'Hah.'
Bu Xing looked down as he had lost yet another round and a glint flashed in his eyes.
"Let's end this."
Zhao Luo said to Bu Xing who looked unready for another round.
Bu Xing nodded and counted to three once again.
He pointed his hand down, while Zhao Luo had turned his head up, thus winning for the fifth time.
'Was this game specifically made for him? If it wasn't for the old man, I would have lost.'
Zhao Luo thought as originally the game would have been in his favor but because of Bu Xing's Dao of Fortune, things had gone his way. But the end was what it should have been.
The fifth piece on Bu Xing's side was destroyed as Zhao Luo hurriedly used his chance.
"So, is it over now?"
Zhao Luo asked Bu Xing with a victorious smile on his face.
"Yes. Now you will be moved to the second floor to take the tests of the Elder."
"But don't I get anything for winning this game?"
Zhao Luo asked Bu Xing who had just told him that he will be going to the second floor.
"Junior Zhao Luo, this was just a game to check some things about you. Even if I had been the one to win, you would have been sent to the second floor nonetheless."

Bu Xing explained to Zhao Luo while Zhao Luo nodded as he kept on glancing upwards as the roof blocked his sight but the ones looking down from behind the wall were able to see him.
"Don't worry. For each of the pieces you have destroyed, you will be rewarded something. Also for winning the game."
Bu Xing said to Zhao Luo, as he tried his best to take care of his junior.
Zhao Luo looked at Bu Xing and smiled.
'He has a good character.'
Zhao Luo thought while his eyes moved to the crowned dragon piece behind Bu Xing.
"What would have happened if I had destroyed that?"
Zhao Luo turned his eyes back on Bu Xing and while pointing at the 4-meter tall dragon, he asked him.
"Nobody knows. Except for just one person."
"One person?"
Zhao Luo mumbled while wondering who that one person could be.
"The First Elder."
Bu Xing replied to him.
On one hand, Bu Xing had answered him, while in his head the old man had returned.
'Good job.'
The old man sounded tired, so much that even his voice wavered as it echoed in Zhao Luo's head.
"Thank you, master."
Zhao Luo said to the old man.
'I am going back to my sleep. Take care of yourself.'
The old man sounded eager to return to his sleep and Zhao Luo turned his focus back to Bu Xing who was looking at him weirdly.
"Are you okay?"
Bu Xing asked Zhao Luo while looking worried for him.
"Mhmm."
Zhao Luo nodded his head before finding himself being sucked in by a mysterious force.
"Good Luck."
Bu Xing said to Zhao Luo who was disappearing with a confused look on his face.
The next instant Zhao Luo had disappeared from his place leaving Bu Xing alone on the stage.
"How was he?"
A mysterious voice sounded out but it was only Bu Xing who could hear it.
Bu Xing turned around and looked at the crowned dragon with the red wings.
"I am not sure. But he is really different than the others, I have my eyes on."
Bu Xing replied without opening his mouth.
"Even the First has his eyes on this one. So will you be able to bring him on our side, when the time is right?"
Another question followed by a little information landed on Bu Xing's ear.

Charles isn't ready or willing to die yet. But, as with everything else to this point, even his choice to keep fighting is taken from him all too soon. Someday, he’ll find where his family went. Someday, he’ll uphold his end of the bargain and hunt beings powerful beyond anything he’s ever known. Someday, he might even – hatch? “CHEEP!?” Things to Know: -Cheep!? Will release on a minimum weekly schedule. -After a backlog of chapters, posting will slow, but in the interim you can expect a chapter a day up until roughly 25 chapters. -This story at times will potentially carry some heavy moments, but the tone is intended to be lighter overall. -There are invisible game-like elements in this story, but nothing so concrete as a dedicated gamelit novel. -I personally have some issues with anxiety, so I may or may not interact with the community a lot. I'll try if anyone has questions, but I can't guarantee that it'll be consistent. -MC is a non-human lead, and will never actually become human. Romance will potentially happen between side-characters, but not with the MC. -MC IS NOT THE ONLY VIEW POINT. I have to put that out there because people sometimes hate alternate PoV's in a story. None of them will be filler, and they'll be there only to give a little bit more nuance and meaning to the world that the MC has stepped in, or is about to be imminently important. I'll try to keep them down, but this also helps to prevent me from burning out getting trapped in one view. -Most of all, I hope that this story is enjoyable to you, and that you have a great time reading it! -Written by Michael Adams, Cowritten/Edited by Summer Kent
