《Becoming God of a Dystopian World 》Chapter 251: The Leader Of the Flying Monkeys

Zhao Luo looked troubled as he heard the claim of the princess.
'I have seen my fair share of monkeys too.'
Zhao Luo thought and how could he not, since he was someone who had been enlightened by the imagination of 'monkey fanatics' through their creations that appeared on the screen of cinemas.
'Even King Kong doesn't have such a loud and shitty cry.'
He continued while remembering the king of monkeys and looked around to find the cause of this brain-shattering cry.
'Ug, Ug, Ug...'
Multiple noises swarmed the region of the dread forest where the two groups were.
"A whole group is coming."
Senior Cutie stepped up while taking out his bronze rod from his storage space.
"Get Ready. It's a good chance to complete our fourth mission!"
He told while giving a short-lasting glance to Zhao Luo, Xiao Yu, and Pi Hao.
Zhao Luo nodded and raised his swords. He looked more than ready after listening to the cries of these flying monkeys that were more than annoying.
"Let them come."
Zhao Luo coldly murmured through his breath. His cold look showed that he wasn't a big fan of monkeys but nobody could have guessed that.
'Clap.'
Xiao Yu joined his palms and closed his eyes.
Even though he looked the calmest compared to others, his heart was beating really fast after hearing the weird cry of the adult flying monkey.
On the other side, Ro Tang went up to the Princess and Brother Lee.
"You heard them, right?", He whispered to them, obviously pointing towards Senior Cutie's recent comment. "They have a mission of slaying these beasts. We don't have to help them for no reason."
He relayed his thoughts to the princess since she was the decision-maker of their group.
"I don't think they will even need our help", Brother Lee interjected as he had an idea of his own.

"Princess, if I may.."
He looked at the Princess with bright eyes as though the words he was going to deliver next would be beneficial for them.
"Go on."
She said to Brother Lee while nodding at him and turning her gaze towards Zhao Luo.
"If we help them we will be able to owe them and that brother looks like someone who will honor this debt, no matter what."
Brother Lee presented his idea to the princess.
He had exchanged attacks with Zhao Luo so he knew how strong Zhao Luo was and as they say the best way to know someone is through the way of 'Action' instead of words, so Brother Lee believed what he had said about Zhao Luo.
Listening to Brother Lee's idea, her decision of helping them now had a cause, since even if Brother Lee was against the idea of helping them along with Ro Tang, she would still have helped them, for various reasons.
"We will help them."
The princess told them and a smile appeared on Brother Lee's face while the expression of Ro Tang sulked even more.
Soon the region of the dread forest where the two groups were, was swarmed with monkeys that were flying above them like bats, that is, fast as hell.
"So, this is how these flying monkeys look like."
Zhao Luo realized that these beasts were physically bigger than an average gorilla while the only difference being the extra feathery wings attached to their backs.
A normal flying monkey in its early ages is two meters tall with its wingspan being four meters or more, thus their dive speed was not only fast but the way these beastly monkeys maneuvered their bodies was very tricky too.
But these were just the young ones of these beast types. The leader was an adult since his cry was way different than their broken 'ug, ug, ug'.

"There are too many."
Zhao Luo said to his brothers while staring at the monkeys gathering around as they landed on the branches of the trees.
"They are only more than forty of them. What are you worried about, Little Brother?"
Senior Cutie said with a worrisome look and his face was covered with an awkward smile.
'I wasn't expecting such a big group. This kind of mission shouldn't have been left in the outer hall's mission building.'
He thought but didn't dare to say his thoughts out loud since it could have lead others to be discouraged even before the fight could start.
'They must be easy to deal with.'
Zhao Luo, Xiao Yu, and Pi Hao all had the same thought simultaneously as they listened to their confident Senior.
'Is he stronger than the handsome guy?'
The Princess thought while she listened to Senior Cutie taking such a big number of beasts lightly.
A few moments passed, but the monkeys who were looking down at Zhao Luo and the others had yet to move.
Since they were quite high up and gathered together as a group so Zhao Luo and the others had yet to attack,
"What are they waiting for?"
Zhao Luo questioned while looking around, but no one had an answer to his question, except;
"They must be waiting for their leader."
The Princess moved next to Zhao Luo and answered him.
Zhao Luo was shocked. Not once but twice.
"Why are you moving close to me? There is another one of them?"
Zhao Luo who was initially baffled by the sudden approach of the princess found it hard to believe, 'So, there is another monkey that will be joining the rank of these gorilla-like bastards.'
He cursed at the beasts in his head, right then another flying monkey landed on the highest branch of one of the tallest trees in the region Zhao Luo and the others were at.
The beast looked around while Zhao Luo stared at it while being stunned.
"Why is it shorter than the others?"
Zhao Luo wondered as this beast had a slender frame, which resembled a human way more than the other.
"That's the adult Flying Monkey."
The princess coldly said as she clenched her teeth.
'Hmmm.'
Zhao Luo could guess how dangerous this beast was by the look on her face.
The adult flying monkey looked around for a while as though it was searching for something.
Soon the eyes of the beast landed on the bags that were lying next to Bimba.
The beast pointed at the bags which looked full since they were the ones where Zhao Luo, Senior Cutie, Xiao Yu, and Pi Hao had stored the fruits.
The wings behind the adult flying monkey opened to their fullest, and it slowly opened its mouth.
"UGAAA BUGAAA."
The Humanoid flying beast let out a ground-shattering cry while pointing his finger at the four bags.
The Flying Monkeys started diving towards the bags.
Senior Cutie and Pi Hao leaped towards the beasts that were coming down while Xiao Yu moved towards the middle of the bags from the start.
"Protect the fruits!"
Senior Cutie shouted while swinging his bronze rod at the flying monkeys.
Zhao Luo lowered his body as his sight was fixed on the leader of these beasts.
He held his swords in a cross manner and raised his ankle from the ground.
The next instant, Zhao Luo pushed his toes backward.
'What is he doing?'
The princess thought while looking at Zhao Luo.
"Half Walk."

A vault dweller, who spent every day of his twenty five years underground. Like his father, and his father before him. Proud to live in the last remaining bastion of humanity, all that survived The Great War of the atomic age. Hidden deep below the surface of the earth, toiling under brutal conditions. Year after year, decade upon decade. All to expand into the natural cave system the Vault occupied, building for the future. However, John knew what his forefathers did not, that everything he’d been taught was a lie. After finishing school at the age of ten, John received his standard issue pipboy. An arm mounted personal computer, worn by everyone in the Vault. Used to coordinate the relentless pace of expansion, needed to work as an apprentice. To learn the craft that would be his life’s work. A noble calling to ensure a future for all that remained of the human race. A quirk of fate saw John equipped not with the crude, clunky, pipboy model his father wore. That almost everyone around him wore. His looked smaller, sleeker, finished in a jet black sheen. And capable of doing far more than its drab counterparts. The world above had been ravaged by atomic flames, yet life clung to its bones. The Red Valley fared better than most in the century since the bombs fell. The clean water and rich soil protected by rolling hills. All spared from direct strikes, for the most part. Life survived here. Trees spawned from charred ground, misshapen, green leaves turned red. Along with simple crops, grown wild at first, then cultivated by the survivors. The scavengers of the old world were inventive, hardy people. All determined to rebuild in the ruins of a world they never knew. In the decades that passed settlements emerged. They grew, spreading along the valley floor. Reclaiming the pre-war remnants of the once industrialised heartland. Salvaging the robotic wonders of a bygone age to build their walls and work their fields. To protect them in the dark of the wasteland. But such things are uncommon in this world, and the rarer something is, the greater its value. And the worth of pre-war technology had not gone unnoticed. The last, real, power in this world rested in the mechanised hands of The Brotherhood of Steel. Forged from the mortally wounded old world military. The Brotherhood used its access to the weapons made for a conflict no one won to strike out into the wastes. Men and women were equipped with advanced armour, aerial transportation, high grade weaponry. Accompanied by the training, strength, and will, to put them to use. They established chapters and set up outputs far and wide. All dedicated to a single purpose. To ensure the technology left abandoned by its long dead creators didn’t fall into the wrong hands. Namely, any hands that were not their own. This is the world John escaped into. A place of horrors brought forth from atomic fire. A place where survival meant battling against the darkness. Fighting a war each day to get to the next. And war...war never changes
