"Isn't that the King?"
A disciple's twisted shout caught the attention of everyone.
They all focused on the disciple who had shouted and noticed that his eyes were wide open as he stared at the exit of the mission hall.
Everyone followed his gaze and an uproar had commenced as they realized that Zhao Luo had entered the mission hall.
"Thud!"
Chairs fell and the tables were flipped as a group of disciples rushed at him.
"What?"
Zhao Luo was shocked as he almost fumbled backward looking at the fanatics coming at him.
"Brother, please accept me as your disciple."
"Brother Zhao Luo, let me be your right hand."
"Brother, please accept me as your slave."
Different confessions were flying towards Zhao Luo who couldn't even look at them because of the awkward attention he was getting.
"Someone's pretty popular."
Xiao Yu said in a cold tone.
'If I had won, then they all...'
Xiao Yu wondered if he could have been in Zhao Luo's place.
"Brother..."
Just then he felt someone tugging the side of his robe.
"Who dar-"
Xiao Yu turned around while shouting but as he saw the culprit, the cold expression on his face changed into a warm one.
"Yes, little sister."
Xiao Yu said to the female disciple who had pulled his robe a moment ago.
Looking at her, he had calmed down as she was the only female disciple who had come up to them along with the others and was talking to him instead of Zhao Luo.
"C-can.."
"Oh, don't worry. Treat me as your older brother."
Xiao Yu said to her in a low voice.
Listening to Xiao Yu, the female disciple smiled as she took out a paper and tried to pass it to him.

"What?"
'A confession!'
Xiao Yu blushed and found the disciple saying something.
"Can you get me brother Zhao Luo's autograph?"
She asked Xiao Yu gently while flickering her charm at him.
"Bastard Zhao Luo."
Xiao Yu cursed Zhao Luo under his breath and looked at the girl.
"No!"
He outright declined her request.
'If he is the heartthrob then I will be the heartbreak.'
Xiao Yu made a decision and raised his foot.
"Boom."
He stomped his feet causing the ground to tremble.
Everyone moved away as Xiao Yu moved forward.
"What are you doing?"
Zhao Luo asked Xiao Yu who looked enraged for some reason.
"Let me handle it."
Xiao Yu glanced at Zhao Luo and then looked at the other disciple.
"We are here to do something important that will decide your brother's future."
Xiao Yu pointed his hands at Zhao Luo as his eyes looked sharp.
"So go away and stop disturbing us."
Xiao Yu completed what he wanted to say causing the crowd to disperse.
"See."
Xiao Yu looked at Zhao Luo and the others with a grin.
Zhao Luo moved up as he patted his shoulder.
"Didn't know you were so talkative."
Zhao Luo whispered to Xiao Yu with a grin.
Zhao Luo looked ahead and in the middle of the building, he found a black wall that was separating the other half of the building.
Zhao Luo squinted his eyes as he walked towards the wall.
"Are those?"
Zhao Luo pointed at the thousands of posters that were pinned on the wall.
"Yes, those are the missions."
Senior Cutie told him as this was a shock for Zhao Luo.
"But why is the wall in the middle?"
Zhao Luo questioned again.

'It makes no sense to erect a wall in the middle of the building.'
Zhao Luo thought as he looked along the length of the wall and found it ongoing till the far end of the building.
"The other side is where the inner disciples take their mission from. Since the mission zone of outer and inner halls are connected thus this mission hall building is shared by both disciples."
"So there would be inner disciples taking missions on the other side."
Zhao Luo said as he looked roughly towards the wall but no matter how he had he looked at it, he couldn't see through.
"Haha."
Senior Cutie laughed while looking at Zhao Luo.
"Even though the wall is made of black glass, the material used is directly from the black salt rocks surrounding the dividend sea."
Senior Cutie explained to Zhao Luo while Pi Hao went forward as he tried to lick the wall.
'Smack.'
Xiao Yu smacked his head lightly.
"What are you doing?"
The embarrassed Xiao Yu asked Pi Hao who couldn't help but look away.
"Hmph."
Xiao Yu moved away from them as started checking out the mission posters.
Zhao Luo was also looking at them.
"Hmm."
His eyes fell on a D Rank mission, which was the lowest grade here.
[ D Rank
A Senior Elder, Elder Gay needs a healthy disciple to taste his pill.
Mission: Eat two Earth Worm pills for ten days.
Reward: 1 point or 1 Xin Coin.
Bonus: If the pill succeeds, Elder Gay has promised to give away two of his pills. ]
"So basically this elder gay needs a guinea pig to test out his pills."
Zhao Luo mumbled as he inspected the poster.
At the start was the grade of the mission, followed by a little bit of missions description. Then the mission itself and its rewards.
"So there can be bonuses too."
Zhao Luo said as he looked around at the other mission posters.
"The bonuses are greater if the mission's difficulty is unbalanced irrelevant to its rank and no matter the difficulty, the mission is still not qualified to be of a higher rank."
Senior Cutie told Zhao Luo while pointing back the D rank mission's poster.
"Like here."
"The pills of this Elder Gay is pretty famous for causing stomach irritations, and sometimes they can even cause extreme diarrhea. Thus he always uses these bonuses as traps to snare the foolish disciples."
Senior Cutie said with an evil grin but Zhao Luo could clearly see a hurtful expression hidden behind that grin.
"Did he do that to you too?"
Zhao Luo asked causing Senior Cutie to tremble as he unconsciously raised his hand and grabbed his stomach.
'What?'
Zhao Luo looked at Senior Cutie weirdly like one of his senior's hands was on his bald head and the other one, on his stomach.
"That elder is the cause of my bald head."
Senior Cutie confessed causing Zhao Luo to be shocked.
"Just what kind of pill did he feed to that your hairs vanished."
Zhao Luo questioned causing Senior Cutie's eyes to get wet.
"A vitality pill."
Senior Cutie said while biting his lip.
"A vitality pill, caused you to go bald."
Zhao Luo mumbled with disbelief.
'If my understanding of vitality is same as his, then this shouldn't have happened.'
Zhao Luo thought while trembling in fear of this mysterious Elder Gay and his pills.

The Systems of the Multiverse - A Guide for the Multiversal Traveler
The Systems of the Multiverse have their issues. I, an observer from outside the multiverse have made it into my mission to tell you, the multiversal traveler about those issues and dangers. This is a relatively low effort NaNoWriMo and Writhathon project. I want to test myself if I can manage 55k words in a month, likely updating every single day until the end. This story is told in the form of an in universe book. Well, I say story... While this definetly won't be great, I still hope it will be enjoyable. I do my best to avoid grammar mistakes and spelling issues, but won't promise anything. Corrections are welcome, this is also an excercise to improve my writing from a technical standpoint. Not from a worldbuilding and character standpoint however, for that you need time. Oh, the keyboards (and computers) that the observer destroys are not real and only exists in story to have an excuse to easily end this story at the end of NaNoWriMo. I also personally like reading LitRPG stories, so this isn't meant to hate them. It might come over that way, but many of those issues are simply fun to think about: what would really happen if the world is so, seen through a lease of negativity :-) [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]
