《Becoming God of a Dystopian World 》Chapter 215: Last Fight of the Tournament

The elders of the Mo Family looked at Zhao Luo with hatred.
"Hurry Up."
Mo Rong's voice rang out again as he couldn't bear to stay here anymore.
"He is useless, everyone's useless."
Mo Rong mumbled as he had never been so embarrassed because of his family before.
'If only that kid wasn't here, if only Mo Suo had been stronger than him...what will I tell my father?'
Mo Rong was worried as he looked at the smiling Zhao Luo who was waving his hand at the elders from the Mo Family.
The Mo family elders cried out silently and two of them grabbed Mo Suo from the right and left as they had jumped on the stage to take Mo Suo back.
"Sect Leader, the Mo Family will return now."
Mo Rong told Xin Wang coldly and brushed off his robe as he turned around.
Without leaving another word or waiting for any reply, Mo Rong left the colosseum with the other members of the Mo Family.
"Bye~"
Zhao Luo said loudly as he gave a last look to Mo Suo.
After which he turned around to look at Mo Anna, who was still standing around the stage while waiting for Zhao Luo's fight to end.
[ Cough ]
The senior elder on the podium cleared his throat so loud that everyone's attention was pulled towards him.
[ Since Zhao Luo has won, he has advanced to the First Rank! ]
The elder finally declared the announcement which had been on hold, for long enough already because of Mo Rong's interim.
"Zhao Luo, since you don't need any urgent treatment, join them."
The elder told Zhao Luo as he pointed him towards the location of the top hundred outer disciples.
"Yes."
Zhao Luo jumped off the stage and reached the other top disciples.

The faces of the ones who had given up against Zhao Luo were twisted with fear and pressure that they were feeling with every step that Zhao Luo took towards them.
"Chill. I already got what I wanted."
Zhao Luo said to them while showing them a calm smile.
"And let the other disciples come up too."
Zhao Luo told them while raising his neck and looking at Feng Ma, Si Chen, Pi Hao, and Big Bean.
The one he was not looking for was already there.
"Little Brotherrr~"
Zhao Luk heard a creepy voice as someone whispered right into his ear.
"Gah."
Zhao Luo trembled and turned around just to find a bald man with an evil smile standing behind him.
"Senior Cutie."
Zhao Luo looked at his bald senior and even though there were many moments when Senior Cutie tried to make his life hard, he did what he had set out to.
"I beat all of them."
Zhao Luo said with hearty laughter.
"Thank you, little brother. I must give you a big reward later on."
Senior Cutie said to Zhao Luo while rubbing his bald head with his right palm.
"No. I don't need any reward."
Zhao Luo declined the reward on the spot.
'He will definitely bring out something crazy.'
Zhao Luo thought about the reward and fell creeped out.
Zhao Luo looked around as he remembered that he had to do something else too.
"Tang Chan."
Zhao Luo mumbled and moved past Senior Cutie as he searched for Tang Chan.
"Do you know where Tang Chan is?"
Zhao Luo asked Senior Cutie.
"Hmm, he left after giving up against you."
Senior Cutie told Zhao Luo while remembering Tang Chan going towards the exit of the colosseum while laughing mysteriously.

"I see."
'Where could he have gone to?'
Zhao Luo wondered as he remembered Tang Chan's words.
Right then, the elder made another announcement.
[ The first qualified disciple will be going on the stage now ]
The elder announced and Zhao Luo looked at Xiao Yu who had suddenly appeared on the stage with lightning speed.
Zhao Luo looked at the elder who was asking Xiao Yu something.
"He must be asking him about the disciple he wants to challenge."
Zhao Luo mumbled while nodding his head.
"It's definitely going to be me."
Zhao Luo brought his arms in front of his cheat as he realized the situation.
[ Xiao Yu, the first qualified disciple vs Zhao Luo, the new first ranked disciple ]
The Senior Elder announced after which he shifted his gaze towards Zhao Luo.
"Oh shit, here we go again."
Zhao Luo said with a dried face and walked towards the stage.
'I want to rest.'
Zhao Luo cried out in his mind and got on the stage.
"Let's decide once and for all."
Xiao Yu told Zhao Luo excitedly.
"I have never been this excited before. You are a worthy challenger."
He continued while grabbing his left side of the chest.
"A fire has been ignited in my chest, and it will only settle with your defeat."
Xiao Yu told Zhao Luo with a strict face and a deep smile.
"Hahaha, good I wanted to end this too."
Zhao Luo laughed with calm eyes as he couldn't deny the excitement that he was feeling too.
"But..."
Suddenly the look in Zhao Luo's eyes changed as he forced Xiao Yu to take a step back with just a look.
"You are the challenger, not me."
"As for being a worthy challenger, I will decide that."
Zhao Luo slowly told Xiao Yu with the hardened look that he was giving him.
Xiao Yu took a step forward.
"Hmph."
Xiao Yu grunted as he raised both of his palms from the two ends and brought them together while making a perfect circle through the movement of his left and right palm.
'Clap.'
His palm touched each other and a sound escaped them.
"Are you done? Cause I want to see more."
Zhao Luo who was closely watching Xiao Yu's movements was intrigued even though it wasn't his first time seeing Xiao Yu doing this.
"Then you will have to come at me."
Xiao Yu replied coldly as his palms faced Zhao Luo.
Looking at the two excited disciples on the stage, the elder on the podium raised his arm and brought his hand down in a swift motion.
[ START ]
With Elder's announcement, the last fight of the tournament, between Zhao Luo and Xiao Yu, started.

The Laptop Hero (Portal/Isekai LitRPG)
[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] - April 2022 Silas got summoned to another world—by a group of kids attending magic school who seemed rather unhappy with the results of their ritual. After a brief glimpse of his summoners Silas woke in the town dump. Unable to speak the local language, a misunderstanding escalated and before long Silas wound up in a jail cell, the locals having confiscated all his worldly possessions aside from his laptop, which had formed some strange bond with him. Now he can summon his laptop at will, and he can view his Status, level up, and gain powerful skills and magic as if he were some character in a video game, which is great and everything, but all Silas really wants to do is sit in a dark room and play games on his laptop. Only, life isn't a game, and Silas needs to get his act together because everyone else is playing for keeps. Or does he? Maybe for Silas life is just one big game now, with everyone else stuck playing by his rules. Assorted Disclaimers, in no particular order: I am only posting this on RoyalRoad.com, so if you find my story elsewhere it was not posted by me. Please do let me know! While I do consider this a progression fantasy, and have tagged it as such, Silas's Status improvements will not necessarily proceed in a linear fashion. His RPG stats will have ups and downs, exploits and nerfs, periods of growth and stagnation. Such is the life of a gamer, to be held under the thumb of the all powerful devs, or in this case a certain goddess devoted to the idea of Balance. SIlas himself should learn and grow, improving and progressing in areas where he struggles, or rather, to show such is my goal. The story is told from multiple points of view. While other PoVs will come and go, Silas shall remain the only lead character. The world Silas finds himself on is not a nice place. Expect him to encounter gore and traumatizing content and bad people who do bad things for selfish (or possibly noble) reasons from time to time. Some characters will use profanity, however due to cultural differences the curse words used will differ from those used in our corner of reality, so I'm not including the profanity content warning. Silas himself isn't one for foul language. No explicit sexual content here. This novel is intended for mature readers, however, and will include mature topics, including, but not limited to, sex, violence, death, and taxes. No harem. Might be an eventual romantic interest, possibly even some competitive jealousy, yet as his story begins Silas is too overwhelmed with other concerns to consider long term plans. Musophobics might want to steer clear of this story. Same goes for turophobics. You have been warned. Keep in mind, however, if my other disclaimers didn't make this clear, I only have the faintest of outlines at the moment. This story will take me where it will. My goal with this story is to write it to the end, something of a long-term writing exercise, with the hope others might take an interest in my work and encourage me to keep at it. I've started a number of works before, even finished a few, but this is the first time I've shared any work in a public forum. My temporary cover was made by me, in GIMP using public domain images. If you can do better I'll happily accept your submission and give credit for your work here!

Madness Led by the Hands
‘Great, no… splendid. It was for naught.’ ‘Naught? Depends. If your desire is to send an army of killers our family’s way, yes indeed. If it’s plain survival you seek, then no.’ ‘They don’t coexist?’ ‘What… don’t tell me you’re still all groggy from the fall. Perhaps in novels, but real life is much tougher–––many more times a drag than anyone can possibly imagine. If dusty history is not a reliable teacher for you, then the pandemic surely took that place. At least that one has the advantage you needn’t be literate to savvy how reality always trumps imagination.’ ‘Whatever you say, whatever you say. So… what now?’ ‘Now? Isn’t it obvious? Now we shall survive. And live a good life.’ ‘Ohh… pretty much everything here has something against this little weird wish of ours. Might you consider?’ ‘Then pretty much everything here is a goner.’ ‘Hm, I don’t like the sound of that. Too much trouble, you see. I’d prefer laying low somewhere safe.’ ‘…nobody told you it’s mutually exclusive, no–––or did you forget about that too?’ ‘Fine, then I wish my future enemies all the best.’ ‘They are undeserving of your pity.’ ‘Of course not. That unlucky bunch won’t ever comprehend the reason behind their demise. Just let me smoke in peace and offer my condolence in advance.’ ‘Idem, let me study alchemy, unobstructed by all, if possible. This also includes you. By the way, are you sure you smoke to offer condolences? It seems like an excuse to me.’ ‘I-it is none. Plain truth, you see?’ ‘Seriously, why did I even ask...?’
