The pentagon-shaped badge shone brightly under everyone's gaze and the jade dragon carved on it, looked like it was coming to life.
"He is a real successor candidate."
A disciple shouted crazily as his spit flew everywhere.
This was what the other disciples were going through too since from the Elder's words, it looked like a baffle without proof.
"But he indeed has that majestic badge."
Another disciple shouted.
"Doesn't that mean, Brother Zhao Luo can become the sect leader?"
The disciple started murmuring as the discussions between them intensified.
Nobody was left behind as Zhao Luo being a candidate for the Sect Leader's successors position was a very big thing for these disciples.
They had to leave an impression on Zhao Luo just in case he really ended up taking the Sect Leader's position after taking down the other candidates.
'Sect leader's position is a big thing!'
Zhao Luo mumbled as he looked at the intense reaction from the thousands of disciples in the colosseum.
The disciple started looking at Zhao Luo with respect in their eyes.
Just then a few voices were heard.
"He is the Future Sect Leader."
Senior Cutie screamed as he pointed at Zhao Luo and people reacted to his shout which served as a stimulus.
A stimulus that fastened the birth of Zhao Luo's new identity.
"Future Sect Leader Zhao Luo!"
"Future Sect Leader Zhao Luo!"
Feng Ma and Si Chen shouted but that was just the start.
"Brother Zhao Luo, the future Leader!"
Big Bean's voice sounded out loudly.
'Even the giant brother is speaking up for me...sniff'
Zhao Luo felt like crying.
He wanted nothing more than to lower his arm right now.
'I want to lower my arm but looks like I can't for now.'

Zhao Luo looked at the Second Elder who waved his palm at Zhao Luo, gesturing him to stay like this for a little longer.
'Guess I will be the statue of liberty for the Xin Sect.'
Zhao Luo closed his eyes and remembered the statue he had seen in New York.
'Ah, Good times.'
Like the average travelers who would reminiscent about the things they had seen in their travels, Zhao Luo was doing the same thing while comparing his position to the statue of liberty.
While his eyes were closed, after the noises from Zhao Luo's brothers, the others also shouted the same thing.
It was like a chant of Zhao Luo becoming the next Sect Leader was stuck on their tongues.
"Zhao Luo, Our Leader."
"Zhao Luo, Our Leader."
Since Zhao Luo had obviously won the battle against Mo Suo who was the king of the outer hall, the spectators saw Zhao Luo as someone unstoppable.
They started calling him the future sect leader.
An image of the jade dragon's shadow slowly rose from the carvings on the golden badge.
"It's waking up."
The Sect Leader who was looking at the situation with a smile slowly mumbled.
Bao Fei looked at the badge with widened eyes.
With an excited face, he started speaking.
"The pentagon badge has five seals, one of them being the Seal of Acknowledgement."
"When the existence of a candidate is recognized by his 'peers', only then the seal of acknowledgment will be broken thus showing the disciples advance."
As the third elder stopped talking, a red light appeared on one end of the badge in Zhao Luo's hand and the shadow of the dragon flew away from the badge while rising towards the sky in front of everyone's eyes.

"ROAR~"
A deep and prolonged cry of the jade dragon sounded out and everyone was stupified.
'What?'
Zhao Luo slowly opened his eyes and lowered his arm as he found a red light blinking on one of the five ends of the badge.
Zhao Luo had sadly missed the take-off of the jade dragon while being lost in his memories from one of his travels.
Zhao Luo looked at the Second Elder and found him moving his mouth.
{ CONTINUE }
'Nod.'
The Second Elder said silently and Zhao Luo nodded.
Zhao Luo stored his badge then proceeded to grab the hilts of Blackey and Ifrit.
'Swoosh.'
Zhao Luo pulled his swords out of the stage.
'Whoosh.'
Putting his swords back in his storage space after swinging them once, Zhao Luo continued talking.
"If I wanted to kill Mo Suo, only a single attack would have been enough."
Zhao Luo turned his head towards Mo Anna.
"I only went lenient on him because of someone else."
Zhao Luo mixed the truths with lies and announced his actions to everyone.
'Since the elder is covering for me, I should wrap this up nicely.'
Zhao Luo thought and continued.
"It was extremely disappointing for the Mo Family Leader to interrupt in our battle..."
Zhao Luo glared at Mo Rong but the expression on his face was telling another story.
'Thank you for interfering.'
Zhao Luo thought as a grin appeared on his face.
He continued addressing Mo Rong.
"But, I can understand that Mo Suo is a daddy's boy so you had to interfere while being worried for his neck."
Zhao Luo raised his hand while shaking his head.
'Daddy's boy.'
"Pfft."
A prince was being called a daddy's boy right in front of thousands of people.
"Blurgh."
Mo Suo vomited out another mouthful of blood while listening to Zhao Luo's voice.
"Since my friend has already spoken, I will not pursue it anymore either."
Elder Dousan interrupted before Zhao Luo could continue to mess with the Mo family.
"Th-thank you."
Mo Rong got up and clasped his hands at the Sect Leader.
Xin Wang only gave him a condescending look in return.
"Tsk, these bastards."
Mo Rong felt wronged but this was not his turf and especially it was not the time to mess with someone like Zhao Luo.
'I need to find about his background.'
'He couldn't have popped up out of anywhere.'
Mo Rong thought as he glanced at Zhao Luo.
Then he looked at the elders behind him.
"Take him back."
Mo Rong ordered them and the elders quickly jumped on the stage.

Note: I write with the Dark Theme setting, so if I make a colour mistake it’s probably why. I also strangely prefer using the Imperial System to measure Height, while I use the Metric System for almost everything else (Canadian by the way).
