《Becoming God of a Dystopian World 》Chapter 142: Rules & Status

"And what are the rules of the Sect that even the King of Mo Family will have to follow?"
Zhao Luo who didn't know about such things asked Senior Cutie.
"Good question."
Senior Cutie nodded as he complimented Zhao Luo.
'What? Good question?'
Feng Ma thought while even Big Bean stared at Zhao Luo with confusion.
'Brother doesn't even know about the rules?'
Big Bean found it hard to believe that a smart person like Zhao Luo didn't know such basic stuff as the rules of the Xin Sect.
But the most incoherent part of this exchange between Zhao Luo and Senior Cutie was that Senior Cutie was smiling at Zhao Luo while telling him that his inquiry was a good question.
"How does this make any sense? I have to keep Brother Zhao Luo safe from this senior."
Even Si Chen mumbled while staring at Senior Cutie who was looking at Zhao Luo with a mischievous gaze.
Both Feng Ma and Big Bean also stared at Senior Cutie who didn't seem to care about their stares at all.
"There are many rules that the disciples have to follow once they arrive in the outer hall and so on."
Senior Cutie brought out his closed fist in front of them and opened his index finger.
"The most important rule is for everyone, that is, all the disciples, elders, visitors ( in some cases ), and even the two protectors, have to follow this rule."
Senior Cutie first told them the importance of the rule and then continued to tell the rule which everyone had to follow without an exception.
"Once you step foot inside the Sect area, you will have to follow the will of the ultimate authority holder, that is, the Sect Leader."

Senior Cutie told Zhao Luo while the others nodded.
"Us, outer disciples have no chance to meet him, but the top disciples of the inner hall sometimes get lucky with that, and also, one meeting with the Sect Leader means their fame rising exponentially among their peers. That is how Godly of a presence the Sect Leader has in everyone's heart."
'And I have already met such an extraordinary individual already.'
Zhao Luo felt proud and special as he listened to Senior Cutie talk about the Sect leader.
Senior Cutie closed his index finger and opened his arm just to show them his palm.
"Going back to the King of Mo Family. Two kings reside in the First City. While there are three Great Royal Families."
Senior Cutie slowly told Zhao Luo.
Even though most of the people from the first three cities knew this but some disciples weren't from these three cities and also weren't aware of such information.
So Senior Cutie guessed that Zhao Luo could be from one of the latter eight cities.
But he didn't know that Zhao Luo was already acquainted with one of them, the Queen of Feng's, Feng Mei.
Zhao Luo didn't tell this to them and stared at Senior Cutie.
"Okay, so they lead a family, but still no matter how great their families are, they shouldn't be called Kings. Right?"
Zhao Luo questioned Senior Cutie as this was something he wasn't able to comprehend.
"Why be called royalty just by leading a family?"
Zhao Luo further added.
"I don't know about that, but from what I have heard, the Mo Family rules over the 4th, 6th, 8th, and the 10th city while the Feng Family rules the 5th, 7th, 9th, and the entry city. But the family which holds the most power is still the last royal family, the Xin Family."

Senior Cutie explained to Zhao Luo.
"Yes, Senior is indeed right."
Feng Ma agreed with what Senio Cutie was telling Zhao Luo.
He was from the Feng Family
"So the Feng and Mo family rule multiple cities..."
Zhao Luo rubbed his chin as he looked at Feng Ma and clasped his hand.
"Brother Feng."
Zhao Luo said with a sly smile on his face.
He was in presence of a prince figure so how could he not show his goodwill here.
"Haha, no need brother."
Feng Ma smiled awkwardly after seeing Zhao Luo's actions.
Zhao Luo still smiled but that's when a question arose in his mind like a launching rocket.
"Why is the Xin Family the most powerful? Even when they don't rule a city?"
Zhao Luo asked in confusion.
'What could the Xin family have that makes them more powerful than the other two royal families?'
Zhao Luo wondered while Senior Cutie opened his mouth to answer this question.
Feng Ma took a sip of wine from his wine flask. He knew the answer to this question but then again Zhao Luo was asking Senior Cutie and not him.
"That's because the Xin Family's King is our Sect Leader!"
Senior Cutie told Zhao Luo while biting his lip and giving him a dirty look.
Zhao Luo cried out.
"WTF!"
Zhao Luo didn't know what was more shocking, the truth behind the Xin Family's most powerful status or Senior Cutie's abrupt yet disgusting expression.
"Thew!"
"Ew!"
"Ew!"
The wine in Feng Ma's mouth gushed out in shock while Big Bean and Si Chen looked like, they were having strokes.
"Cough."
Senior Cutie cleared his throat as he bowed his head after the terrible expression that he had made.
'I was just trying to be cute...tsk.'
He thought as he felt bad for shocking these little brothers of his.
"Blinding."
Zhao Luo and the others said while seeing the sharp bald head of Senior Cutie.
Senior Cutie raised his head and with a pathetic look on his face, he looked at Zhao Luo.
"So any more questions?"
He asked.
"Why are there only three Royal families?"
"Also you only told me the first rule...what about the others?"
Zhao Luo imposed two questions that he wanted to know for now.
Listening to these questions, Senior Cutie glanced at Feng Ma, who was from one of the Royal families, gesturing at him to answer the first question.
Feng Ma nodded.
'"It's because..."
He stopped to raise everyone's focus in his answer.

Living as a Demon
Jonathan was living the life of a normal human male in modern-day society, until he was rudely awakened one night by a summoning circle that ripped him out of his reality and dumped him into a new world filled with magic, demons, and…mouthy young orphan girls?! Now Jonathan must navigate the trials of playing guardian to a preteen, learning to unlock his inner demon, and somehow managing to find a dang pair of pants! Welcome! I'm E.O. Tenkey; thank you for considering Living as a Demon, my third released work here on Royal Road (following Not a Manga and Mr. Familiar)! Let's set some expectations, shall we? • Not much hard profanity (chapter 1 is the exception!)• Human MC! Our protagonist is a bona fide homo sapiens. Which is not to say there won't be demons, demonic powers, and what-have-you, but this isn't some grimdark exploration of the life and times of a nihilistic, amoral killing machine.• Slice of life. My previous works always ended up there, so might as well get ahead of the curve!• Weekly updates, and a completed story: I will post a single chapter per week on Wednesdays until the story is complete (extra chapters are rare, but do happen).
