《Becoming God of a Dystopian World 》Chapter 119: Token

The tears didn't flow out while Zhao Luo cursed Wu Yang but it was because he missed his presence.
'He could have at least said a proper goodbye.'
Zhao Luo felt dejected as his eyes went over the letter again.
"His writing is good."
Zhao Luo praised Wu Yang but unfortunately, Wu Yang will never know.
"WTF?"
Zhao Luo suddenly shouted as reading the letter again with a clear mind, he saw something that had shocked him.
'Why would he write (lol) here?'
Zhao Luo wondered and sook his head.
'I may have seen it wrong', with such thought spouting in his mind, Zhao Luo read the end again.
[To Zhao Luo, the future Sect leader (lol)....]
"This bastard....does he even know what 'lol' means?"
Zhao Luo cursed again but this time he had a smile on his face while his eyes were directly focused on the letter in his hands.
"He is challenging me. I will show you when we meet again."
Zhao Luo replied to Wu Yang's taunt that he had left in his letter.
Zhao Luo already had the successor badge, he just needed the strength to face the other successor.
"The Sect Leader position isn't even my goal but I guess I will have to stop by there for a while."
Zhao Luo grinned as he looked at the letter one last time.
Even though Wu Yang was strong and also the secret disciple but a question still popped up in Zhao Luo's mind.
"Is he strong enough to be a core disciple?"
Zhao Luo wondered as that is what Wu Yang had told him when he was telling Zhao Luo about the last mission.
"Can I be a core disciple too?"
Zhao Luo wondered as he folded Wu Yang's letter and stored it in his storage space.
Leaving the empty room, Zhao Luo walked towards the direction of the exit of this hut area.
On the way, others joined him.
Everyone was there except Wu Yang.
Zhao Luo didn't dwell on Wu Yang's presence for too long.
The letter was enough for him to get over this as he already had a new stop on the path to his goal.
The others, including Feng Mei, Yan, and Mo Lee had asked about Wu Yang but Zhao Luo didn't tell them much except.
"He went with the third elder but they didn't tell me anything."

Zhao Luo kept up with this story as he didn't want to talk about a person who was already gone.
He would have if Wu Yang had told him in the letter or left something to tell the others but since there was no such thing mentioned in Wu Yang's letter thus Zhao Luo decided to keep it low.
"Let's go to the dining area first."
Zhao Luo told them as he could feel that the others would be feeling hungry.
'Senior will be there too.'
Zhao Luo guessed as this was the other reason why he wanted to go to the dining area.
While Zhao Luo was lost in his thought, Yan had her eyes in him.
'He is acting differently.'
Yan mumbled as she glanced at Zhao Luo.
After a while.
Zhao Luo with Feng Mei and others entered the dining hall.
Like always it was filled to the brim.
Zhao Luo looked around and again found the only table where just a single disciple was sitting.
'There he is.' Zhao Luo said in his mind.
Mite was sitting alone at the table in the middle of the humongous dining hall, stuffing his face as his head kept on moving towards his plate.
Zhao Luo's guess was right, and senior mite was indeed in the dining hall.
"You guys get the food. I will be there."
Zhao Luo patted Feng Mei's head gently while telling the others.
'Nod.'
Feng Mei nodded.
Mo Lee, Yan, Feng Mei, Su Shi, Wei Bin, and Hong Ling went towards the area where the food dishes were while Zhao Luo went towards Mite.
---- ---- ----
"Good morning Senior."
Zhao Luo said to Mite as he grabbed a chair to sit on it.
"Mhmm Yah 'Nom Nom' Hmm."
Mite who had meat blocking his mouth from letting out any intelligible words tried his best to say something.
Bang!
Bang!
'Gulp.'
Mite used his fist to hit his chest to force the meat in his mouth to go down his throat.
"You too."
Senior Mite replied as he looked at Zhao Luo who was barely controlling his laughter while looking at the eating Mite.
"You can stop calling me Senior. I already lost."
Mite suddenly told Zhao Luo as he wiped his face.
"I did win but didn't you join the sect before me?"
Zhao Luo questioned Mite.
He had come from a world where age mattered a lot. If someone was older than you, you were supposed to respect him.

"Do you think age matters? In this world, only strength matters. You will be able to enter the inner hall soon after becoming an inner disciple so I will be the one calling you senior then."
Mite was on point.
The old ways that Zhao Luo knew off had already changed.
"I did come to you to talk about just that."
After listening to Senior Mite talking about the inner hall, Zhao Luo remembered the reason he was here.
"How do I become an outer disciple?"
Zhao Luo asked Mite.
To Zhao Luo, Mite was the only one who could tell him about how he could advance to become an outer disciple. As among all the other disciples of the trainee hall, Mite was the only outer disciple here.
'Tap, Tap.''
"We want to become an outer disciple too."
The others had also joined Zhao Luo and Mite at the table.
"To become an outer disciple..."
Senior Mite brought out a square token and showed it to Zhao Luo.
"I will give you this and once you enter the outer hall with this token, meet the senior who is taking care of the outer disciples and pass the token to him."
Mite told Zhao Luo as he passed the white token to him.
"Okay."
Zhao Luo looked at the token and stored it in his robe's storage.
"As for you all, you can advance to become an outer disciple too but I would suggest that you wait a year while training yourselves in the trainee hall. Otherwise, you will just end up being a burden on him."
Senior folded his arms in front of his chest as he knocked the others away with the reality hidden in his advice.
"But what would a year in this place do?"
Wei Bin was the first to ask this question while the others also had the same thought.
"We would rather stay with Brother Zhao Luo."
Hong Ling added as staying in the trainee hall for half a year didn't make any sense to him.
"In half a year, the new trainees will be entering. When another half-year passes by that time, the training area challenges will begin again. Are you all satisfied by your performance in the challenges?"
Senior Mite imposed a question as he explained to them the idea behind gis advice.
"That is why you should aim to do better in the challenges next year and then advance to be an outer disciple."
Mite ended his explanation there as he looked at Zhao Luo.
'If he waits for them then he would fall behind.'
Mite thought about Zhao Luo.
Zhao Luo was already strong enough to beat him, a /|| (7th) level outer disciple so he would be able to advance to an inner disciple soon.
"He is right. Not the burden part, but for you all, becoming strongest should be your goal. Take those steps that will help you in your goal."
Zhao Luo also added his thought and told the others.
"Brother..."
Feng Mei said as she looked down.
'I don't want to stay here without a brother.'
Feng Mei thought as she didn't like this idea.
'Pat.'
"Don't worry...I will wait for you just a little ahead."
Zhao Luo smiled at her as she gently rubbed her head.
"Mhmm."
"We will stay here for another year but don't think you can slack off in the outer hall."
Yan told Zhao Luo realizing that this was indeed the best thing for everyone.
"Good that you all understand."
Senior Mite told them.
After everyone had finished their food, they left the dining hall.
"You are going to the outer hall?"
Mite questioned Zhao Luo right after they had left the dining hall.
"Yes, it's time for me to enter the outer hall."
Zhao Luo said as he had his eyes looking upwards and far away.
"Hmm, good. I will meet you in a year then."
Mite was on a mission to look over the trainee disciples and the trainee disciples for a year.
"Brother take care."
Feng Mei grabbed Zhao Luo's hand and told him.
"You took little sister", Zhao Luo showed her a gentle smile.
The others also wished Zhao Luo well while Yan remained silent.
"Mhmm."
Yan went up to Zhao Luo and felt nervous while staring into his eyes.
"He is leaving."
She mumbled but didn't know what she should be saying.
After a moment of looking at each other passionately, Zhao Luo remembered the face of Sect Leader zooming in front of his eyes.
The others were getting confused too as their little brother Yan was acting strange.
"I will be going now."
Zhao Luo told them while he scratched the back of his head.
"Don'...."
"Don't forget me."
Yan said as she ran away from the place as Wei Bin and Mo Lee followed her.
'I won't.'
Zhao Luo shook his head as he left the dining area.

Duality
“Listen closely for this is our oldest tale… In the beginning there was peace and knowledge throughout our land… The creatures of old roamed these lands… Evil had yet to spread through our land… A rift in the very fabric of reality formed… The land burned and melted as the creatures stepped through… As the most advanced civilization… We took the mantle to combat… By the time we were able to gather half the world had already been lain bare… The war covered the once peaceful land in death and destruction… During this time humanity's greatest light arose…” Monologued the old man, red in the face from passionately spewing his praises of a past he had no part of. Written by two authors, this novel covers the tale of a pair of protagonists in a wuxia world. Oh, and maybe an isekai or two. Our goal with this project is to make an engaging and entertaining story, while making a good attempt at a somewhat realistic wuxia setting. We’re aware of the oxymoron…
