《Becoming God of a Dystopian World 》Chapter 94: TuTu?

"I did what I had to."
Zhao Luo replied with a smile on his handsome as he looked at Mite whose eyes looked dead.
Zhao Luo had stopped Zi Fei cause he didn't want someone else to fight for his sake. Or be cruel to someone who is Zhao Luo's target. Especially Zhao Luo would never let someone bully a person when the person can't even fight back or defend.
'Nom, Nom.'
Zhao Luo started digging in the meat after replying to Mite's acknowledgment.
"This is so good."
Zhao Luo mumbled as he ate the food like he was inhaling air.
"I heard you have cleared the moonstone challenge too."
Mite interrupted Zhao Luo who was enjoying the meat on his plate.
"You are indeed a special person."
Mite told Zhao Luo with a serious face but he was actually praising him.
Mite had been an outer disciple for so many years yet now he was saying the newbie was 'special'.
"Senior you are being very humble. Looks like Zi Fei beating messed up your head."
Zhao Luo made a joke as the turnaround of Mite was too much for him to digest.
Zhao Luo preferred the challenging Mite who had been against him since he joined the Trainee Hall.
"No, I have just realized something."
Mite confessed as he looked at Zhao Luo passionately.
'Don't tell me he likes me.'
Zhao Luo realized the look in Mite's eyes as Mite focused on him.
Zhao Luo felt weird so he tried to change the subject.
"Do you want my meat?"
Zhao Luo said while pointing at his plate.
It sounded fine to Zhao Luo and Mite but others who weren't looking at Zhao Luo's gesture were shocked.
Especially Yan who was glaring at Zhao Luo with her eyes wide open. She didn't interrupt them but instead of dwelling on what Zhao Luo had asked Mite, she focused on her plate.
"No, I am full."
Mite didn't care what others thought.
His reason to stare at Zhao Luo was way different than what Zhao Luo or the others may have thought.
'I was like him too then where did I go wrong?'
Mite was confused. He still remembered the time he had joined and when he had advanced to an outer disciple. Mite was always working hard then why did he start slacking.
'Whatever.'

Mite who was done eating thought.
"Outer hall will be experiencing many changes soon."
Mite mumbled as he looked at Zhao Luo.
It wasn't only because of Zhao Luo. The others around him, each accompanying him had good talent. They all had the ability and confidence that was needed to always progress in this Sect.
After hearing what Mite said Zhao Luo looked at others. He didn't want to leave alone to the outer disciple. But he didn't want to force the others to advance to an outer disciple along with him. They could have a ten times easier life in trainee hall.
Feng Mei, Yan, and Su Shi had all joined the trainee hall along with Zhao Luo while others on the table weren't any less than them in terms of strength. Mo Lee was as strong as them while Wei Bin was even stronger than them. Wu Yang was very mysterious for now.
'They all are strong enough to advance with me but would they?'
Zhao Luo doubted as maybe the others wanted to spend more time in the trainee hall and make their bodies stronger before advancing to an outer disciple.
Bang!
Mite slapped the table to barely get up from his seat.
"I will be going now."
Mite said to Zhao Luo and the others on the table as Zhao Luo stopped thinking about what his friends will decide.
"Take care Senior."
Zhao Luo wished Mite well.
Even though they had a bad start, it didn't mean that they had to have a bad ending too.
'Mhmm.'
Mite wanted to say but didn't.
He nodded to Zhao Luo and the others as he turned around to leave.
After Mite left the table, the others were still eating while Zhao Luo was eating while his eyes were saying that he was focused somewhere else.
'If it was the previous me, I may have ended up like that too.'
Zhao Luo wondered. If he hadn't been trapped in the capsule and never got a chance to mistakenly stumble on Naoli, that increased his mental capability.
'What if I never met the old man?'
Zhao Luo thought as he felt hurt because he shared a special bond with his master.
Zhao Luo considered himself to be a lucky person.
Zhao Luo looked around the table as he could see the faces of others. He had friends now. He was respected by many disciples in the trainee hall. He had already cleared two challenges. He could move to the outer sect anytime. But this still wasn't enough.

"Let's do our best."
Zhao Luo told the others.
Just having a good time wasn't sufficient.
He had to struggle hard to reach his goal perfectly.
'Grab.'
Feng Mei suddenly grabbed Zhao Luo's hand out of nowhere.
"Brother I will try my best and will never let you down."
With her cold hand clasping Zhao Luo's hand, Feng Mei said with a cute smile on her face.
"We will try our best too."
Wei Bin said right after Feng Mei.
After listening to the declaration of the two youngest, the others also declared that they will try their best.
Zhao Luo had a big smile on his smile.
His goal had been modified a little bit.
'I will reach the summit but not alone.'
Zhao Luo was now ascertained of the change in his plan.
After eating, Zhao Luo and the others left the dining hall.
First Su Shi and Feng Mei separated from the group as their huts had arrived.
One by one everyone kept on leaving to enter their room. While Zhao Luo still walked.
"Is this also fate that my room is the furthest away?"
Zhao Luo complained as he blamed his fate.
"You are wrong."
Another voice entered the scene right after Zhao Luo had spoken.
"My hut comes way after yours."
Wu Yang said from behind Zhao Luo.
He had been walking a little behind Zhao Luo for a reason. He didn't want to do any more slip-ups.
The best for that to happen was the less he and Zhao Luo talked. Thus that being why Wu Yang was walking behind Zhao Luo instead of walking alongside him.
"I forgot about you."
Zhao Luo admitted as he slowed to come next to Wu Yang as they both moved towards Zhao Luo's hut.
"How do you think I will do in tomorrow's challenge?"
Zhao Luo asked Wu Yang.
Wu Yang had been very helpful to him so he was already very much relying on his answers and ideas.
"It shouldn't be too hard for you."
Wu Yang said as he looked at Zhao Luo with respect in his eyes.
"Mister top scorer."
He chuckled while calling out Zhao Luo by what Zhao Luo had done in the second test of the Second Elder.
"That was just me being lucky."
Zhao Luo brooded over what Wu Yang had said.
Zhao Luo was saying that he was lucky because he still wanted to keep the Second Elder as the Master of Riddles. Otherwise, if people knew how Zhao Luo had solved Second Elder's riddles the title would go over to Zhao Luo in merely a moment.
"Leave that aside."
Zhao Luo didn't want to spend another second of his time on the thought of taking Second Elder's title.
"Can you guess who the secret disciple could be? The one that I have to defeat for my fourth challenge."
*Crunch*
Zhao Luo clenched his fist as he asked Wu Yang while glancing at him.
Right when Zhao Luo asked this question Wu Yang had stopped in his place.
Wu Yang was looking down for some reason.
Zhao Luo had brought up the question about the secret disciple again.
This was the reason why Wu Yang was keeping his distance from Zhao Luo while the two walked towards their huts.
"What happened? Why did you stop?"
Zhao Luo questioned as he felt odd.
Wu Yang had stopped right when Zhao Luo had asked him about that disciple.
'Does he indeed know?'
Zhao Luo wondered otherwise it didn't make sense for Wu Yang to suddenly stop.
"I know who the secret disciple."
Wu Yang said while looking down.
It was dark so Zhao Luo couldn't even see the expression on Wu Yang's face.
"Don't be shocked when you will know who the secret disciple is."
Wu Yang warned Zhao Luo.
Wu Yang's face was still tilted downwards.
"Mhmm."
Zhao Luo felt weird but he still wanted to know who he had to fight to complete the last challenge.
"It's...."
Wu Yang said slowly.
'It's.'
Zhao Luo had clenched his fist. He barely stopped himself from punching Wu Yang.
"It's TUTU."
Wu Yang finally spilled the beans.
"Tutu?"
Zhao Luo was confused now as Wu Yang was just saying anything.
"How could someone have such a dumb name?"
"I don't believe you."
Zhao Luo retaliated as he had it hard to believe what Wu Yang had told him.
"Indeed."
Wu Yang agreed with Zhao Luo.
"It's the name of my bird."
Wu Yang was now burning the beans that he had spilled.
Wu Yang had finally lifted his head as he was looking at Zhao Luo with a silly expression.
"I hope you are ready for the consequences."
Zhao Luo who was feeling like a big fool said to Wu Yang.

Blood Demon's Retirement
Civil War had raged on the Al-Shan Archipelago for the past four decades, only recently coming to an end with the enthronement of the new Emperor. This is not his story. The Blood Demon, renowned general of said civil war, was tired of all the fighting and politicking that had described the last four decades of her existence. All she really wanted to do now is to go out into the world and see the many lands from her father's stories. Thus she retired, and went and did exactly what she wanted. This is the story of what happens when you toss a (retired) war machine with somewhat lacking common sense into an unsuspecting world at peace. Chapters will range from 1-2.5k words, scheduled for release every day from Monday to Friday. First time posting a story on Royal Road here, hoping you folks will enjoy. Expect: -slow going slice of life with occassional faster paced action -world building -detailed anecdotes on the world, its races, the magic system, and whatnot every now and then Do not expect: -romance, other than maybe some passing mentions -politics, again, barring passing mentions Any comments, reviews, and criticism will be much appreciated. And thank you for reading. ---------------------------- Disclaimer: This story is my original work and only posted on the Royal Road and Scribblehub websites. If you should find this story elsewhere or under another name, please let me know. Also please don't be too hard on me when I make occasional grammatical mistakes, English is my third language after all. XD Edit suggestions are very welcome though. Discord

Measured, clacking sounds of high-heels can be heard walking towards an elegantly decorated hall; illuminated only by the sun’s rays streaming down from glass panels, grand frescoes decorating its concave ceiling. The Beta Test
Our nameless narrator participates in a beta test for an early VRMMO game Meridian 60. That's not the real name but it captures the spirit of the adventure given the chronological and contextual era of the game. His character is unique and special but purely for mundane reasons and not because of any inherent or social significance. The first chapter which is mandatory to submit a story on RR serves as a bit of a prologue with some exposition, although I limited that to a reasonble level. I plan to begin releasing additional chapters starting Thursday, to align with the 48 hour submission approval process and also because I have something to do Wednesday. I haven't written anything but the summary and first chapter, nor have I plotted anything out. This is because my plan is to release roughly 34000 words a day, 10 chapters of ~12.5 pages each, for 3 days at which point the story will be complete. I'd have liked to plan for more but handling the interface tables and so forth needed for a data heavy litrpg slows down the writing process. 100k words is a bit short, a standard pre epic fantasy 300 page spec fic novel, but this is mostly a writing exercise and I am considering a longer project if I can maintain the pace. Probably do a different concept, maybe a dungeon core, over 5 days, since a 500 page novel is more common these days. Slight subversion of VRMMO stories Stat heavy/crunchy No paying your bills by gaming No out of game conspiracies No angst, interpersonal drama, or damsels/dudes in distress Schedule is 30000 words a day excepting the first chapter, a limitation of RRs fiction submission system Fantasy, high magic, male lead, no party, guild, or harem No gore, some profanity, no sexual content, and no current plans for anything traumatic
